She rushes upstairs only to find her husband naked lying on the bed, sweating and panting.

'What's up?' she asks.
'I think I'm having a heart attack,' - cries the husband...

I usually cash out my AirMiles as soon as I have enough for either a grocery GC or Chapters GC (play money, woohoo! ). So the change won't affect me in any way. Of course, it takes me eons to get $20 worth of groceries anyway.

Off to finish up my cake (trying to save it & make it look pretty). I stupidly volunteered to bring dessert for my friend's New Year's Day party. Speaking of which, I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year's Eve. Here's hoping y'all have someone less slobbery kiss you than I will (it's amazing how drooly Quincy cat can be ). Happy New Year & thank you so very much for such a wonderful community.

I sort of had a good day, if you can call it that,
But a member of my household & I, got engaged in a heated wee chat,
There are some people who just shun suggestions,
& some who simply ignore the most helpful directions,
Some try to play the part of the vindicator,
But it will never wash if you say “I’ll just do it later”,
I won’t mention names as that just wouldn’t be fair,
As sometimes domestic issues are similar to trial & error,
Don’t say “I was gonna”, cause we all know it’s a line,
To receive redemption you must provide wine!
Opinions & ideas are 2 different things,
& not all yo-yo’s are attached to their strings,
Cause when it comes to some topics, its best not to engage,
So you call it a draw & you just turn the page,
Domesticity has a way of throwing a curve,
Sometimes we receive & sometimes we serve,
Keep it fair, but keep your perspective,
Keep your mind in frame & be introspective,
That’s about all from Loocie as we close the books on this year,
& wait for two thousand & twelve to make its premiere!

Hi Everyone!

Just got in from using up coupons at various places that are only good until tomorrow. Went to Value Mart, Pet Value, Wholefoods, Roger's, Baskin & Robbins (half price off everything until tomorrow) - got a couple of ice cream cakes, and the Artisans where I used a couple of credit notes for a ring and pendant which were 20% off until Monday. Roger's has buy 1 DVD and get two free. Now I must run as I haven't eaten dinner and will be out all day tomorrow for the last of the Boxing week sales.

After all the technical problems I have had getting on this inspirational site , who would have thought that that I would be the lone member at this time . Fitting that the first piece of wisdom I would receive , is that , " Truth is stranger than fiction ". Perfect . P.S. As soon as I figure out how , I will post some pictures from the zoo .
