Didn't get anything done in the basement today, instead I decided to meal prep and clean out the fridge.

I cut up 2 cantaloupes, 1 in a bulk container and the other packaged in ready to go containers.

Also cup up Celery, Carrots & Broccoli which is in quick grab and go containers.

Also used up a pepper, some mushrooms, the small tops from the celery and some leftover Rice to make Fried Rice for lunch with leftovers in the fridge.

I have emptied the dishwasher and reload it.

Also found a few things that go pushed to the back of the fridge that needed to go. As well rearranged the fridge to make some more room.

I have decided each night this week I will spend 30 minutes in the basement cleaning up but decided the fridge needed my attention today.

Also spent some time binge watching this afternoon for some me time before I am back to work tomorrow. Although my house needs the attention I cannot keep working all week and then spend the whole weekend working on the house without some down time.

Now it is time to figure out dinner. Hope everyone has a great evening

Well that was good timing, Mom just called and asked if I started dinner and when I said No not yet she said she was craving KFC, her treat.

Yippee no cooking tonight and it is a treat as we seriously cut back on our take out.

No Frills has Jane’s chicken on sale for $4.97. This is the cheapest that I have ever found them where we live. I had four $4 coupons, so I bought boxes with coupons on them at No Frills and Walmart. Our freezer is now full.
    13x $4.97 - $4 coupons = $12.61 in total

I also bought milk, bread, steak, chip dip, etc from Sobeys and redeemed $40 in Air Miles, $1.30oop.
I bought Tylenol and some other items with rebates. $5 from CO51, $3.25 from Caddle. I also earned another $1 from a new Caddle referral.

edit: I sold another $5 in garden veggies today.

We are still under a heat advisory. After supper tonight Dh took our twins for a walk to the park. Our son wanted to stay with me. We harvested another 20 ripe tomatoes. I plan on making freezer tomato sauce tomorrow when Dh is at work. It was 39 today before the humidex, so I watered our garden for a second time. Monday is the coolest day in our forecast, 23. Laundry is on the go. After we finished in the garden, I took our son for a 20min bike ride. We collected 4 cans and 1 bottle for recycling. I keep a 5 gallon bucket outside for the odd SARCAN items. I emptied them into 2 grocery bags and put them out to the collection in our garage.

I know we are behind on this one, but Dh finally agreed to try Netflix. We are tired of the increasing cable bill. It looks like Dh has agreed to disconnect the cable and return the box by the end of the month. I’ll see if he will do it sooner, or if he will let me do so. It is one of the bills that he pays each month.

I had another specialist appointment out of town again yesterday. Good thing the AC in my van and our house works, it wasn’t working in the brand new building where my specialist is now located. I have a CT Scan tomorrow morning, but that’s at our local hospital.

    Good Morning All,
Monday morning and back to work. I have a new Sales Rep coming in for training today.

I think tonight I will just take out the garbage in the basement from the mice. There is a bin with bags they opened and were eating and Mom said to clean the bin out but I think I am just going to toss it. It is a bin from the dollar store so if she make a big stink I will just buy a new bin.

I am trying to come up with a game plan because I need to empty the shelves so I can move them and clean under them. I am not really sure where to put everything since the basement is already so full. I think to start I am going to put any bags they have not gotten into, into coolers for now to keep the safe for now. Worst part is I know there is still one mouse we have not caught. I saw it Friday night when I went down to get pasta sauce and then again on Saturday when I was cleaning. We have moved the traps to where I kept seeing it the mouse but it just does not seem to be going into the trap. GRRRRRRRRRRR I am so over this whole mouse situation.

Hope everyone has a great day, better get a few things done before my trainee come in. Have a wonderful day everyone

@Ciel: I don't know if your Walmart has an opened package underwear section. They sell for $0.97. I always see white in there as it seems to be the slowest moving colour.

@Angela273: DH loves Netflix as he used to get satellite and cable included at his old apartment. It's been a great substitute and we don't have to get TV through Bell which is worth paying for!

Another round of blackberries from the yard this weekend. They are as sour as lemons but the baby eats them like they were made of sugar. Then her older sister eats them only because she doesn't want to be outdone, but she really dislikes them. The sibling rivalry has begun.

DD1 has started a new camp, much more expensive than the first two, run by the city. I can't believe how much it costs for a week of doing paper crafts and going outside.

It’s my birthday I will party if I want to, party if I want to!!! I turn 34 today.

I have no clue what I am doing today other then a lot of cruising around town to pick up assorted items. My friend is taking me out I think we are going joyriding (not stealing cars) but spreading joy about this land. I enjoy life already so I want to enjoy it even more by celebrating my birthday by cooking everyone a meal my mom always taught me I am not suppose to cook on my birthday ever. But I am cook by trade and love giving back I cannot help that I am loving and giving person. So i hope to venture to no frills to pick up supplies. Of course things for myself as well. I am thinking about chicken burgers with actual chicken not something that’s prepackaged with lots of sodium in it and filler.

They had a bbq last Wednesday and they fed us prepackaged easy foods besides ribs which they boiled then put on the grill with bbq sauce. I am not or never will be a fan of ribs or any meat that’s close to a bone. I don’t do because not that is texture component which it is for me that also it’s where all the veins are and it just grosses me out plain and simple. I been like this for several years, since I was a small kid. I don’t mind cooking it or butchering the product I cannot stand when they say the “juices” and in the bag is blood...ick. I was taught well and can make anything I mean anything taste good even things that really turn me off. I am always experimenting, and I am always trying new things even if I don’t know about it until I try it then get an opinion on it.

It suppose to be feels like 34C today but a high of 29C. Gross we had two days a rain for what disgusting humidity with sun to come back there is apparently over 700 forest fires burning in the province and 140 of them were caused by lightning yesterday in Kamloops area they are saying it is worse then last year for fires. Considering last year was fields and brush this year its mountains on fire a lot harder to contain. Then we also have had mudslides from all the rain in two days closing off highways, cutting off communities and separating people from supplies/healthcare.

    So tired...

I took a pic of sunset last night and it’s very smoky looking sun..

morning gonna have my homemade soup for lunch

just ordered from old navy its 40% off today and hubby has 3 pairs of shorts to his name -so ordered 3 pairs in a 2 different sizes will take back at least one pair -also got Ashlyn an old navy top for back to school and sebastian socks 1.20 after discount ,gotta take advantage of 40% off as I have a hubby who never likes to shop for himself ,and I know for 13.50 the shorts price I would never find a pair in the thrift shops for him ,very rare as he is a size 38 or 40

just mended hubby's p,j bottoms -do any ladies still mend out there or just turn clothing into rags ?? just curious I will still mend socks if its on the side but not on the toe that would be uncomfortable

well gotta go clean my washrooms today

    @greentires4me: Have a wonderful 34th birthday!

@coupon girl: Everything gets mended except for well worn heels and toes on socks. Unfortunately, I cheat and put them in a bag and send them all to my mother. There is no time when I'm struggling to get dinner on the table by 7 PM and I'm often late for that. Maybe someday... but, my mother is an expert seamstress and could sew a wedding dress in her younger days. That's a bit much to aspire to at this point. I feel badly because as soon as she gives one bag of clothes back, another goes out to her. She's sewn our tablecloth, cut DD1's pants into shorts (she'll wear the fabric right down to nothing, or fall and rip the knees to shreds), sews up the toes in DD2's sleepers, and hems DH's pants. My mother is a rare gem. I don't know what I'd do without her.
