Has anyone ever made Homemade Garlic Bread and Froze it?

I want to make some meals for a family going through a hard time right now but I want meals they just have to heat and go. But with that being said if they do not want to eat them right now I would like them to being able to toss them in the freezer for when they want/need the meals.

I do this also. Don't see why homemade would be different.

@SassyAshley imho, I agree with both of the last 2 posters, since the store bought stuff is found in the freezer section it should be fine.
I would just make sure it is double wrapped in good plastic so no air gets in or moisture? Whatever makes the food get crystals on it.

The ones I get at Sobey's are on the bakery goods shelves and same with Longo's half breads (or on the clearance grocery shelf). Good point about double-wrapping-ice crystals don't make for good flavour come time to reheat baked items.

Future note to self to buy frozen garlic bread for a taste test or put a Longo's half loaf in the freezer for a few days and then reheat it.
