It just occurred to me that the producers of Survivor are saving a bundle by not having to pay for meals etc on Ponderosa. Pretty cleaver, IMHO.

LOL no kidding! Especially when Ponderosa seemed to always be a free for all of whatever the Survivors wanted, when ever they wanted it. But I miss the produced Ponderosa videos @danger_dan always posted, they were like a little peek behind the curtain.

I have finally caught up with this season! Last night the whole family was home and we realized the finale was TONIGHT so we sat down and watched.

I cannot wait to watch it all come to a head tonight. I am not sure how I would vote if a player from the Edge ends up in a final 3 but I have to be honest and say our whole house is voting for Devens.

Well, all I can say is that the winner did make historic moves and I was shocked BUT I dont know how fair everything that happened actually was.

Me either I really thought they were gonna bring someone back every other week and do a few double evictions not only 2 people def not fair for the others on the edge

Wow that was quite the ending. I didn't see that coming. I liked the twist of someone coming back into the game and mixing it up but giving them an idol (or 1/2 of one) seemed like an unfair advantage so late in the game. I was also not a fan of the Edge, and I hope if they do it again the format is much different.

The final episode was so entertaining and there were a few big twists that were great, but...

...when Rick was eliminated, I felt like someone let the air out of my balloon and really wasn't interested/invested in what was to come after that.

Not a fan of the Edge format, either. If they bring it back, I hope they modify it.

As much as I enjoy Survivor, I let out a groan when I saw the preview of next season. They seem to be grasping at straws to keep coming up with novel twists and it feels like they are getting close to jumping the shark. I have zero interest in seeing Boston Rob and Sandra involved in the twist/format next season. I am actually tired of seeing them and dislike their personalities. Fingers crossed that I will be pleasantly surprised with how things play out.

I would rather see Survivor go back to it's traditional format with all new players than have twists/formats that fizzle. Thankfully, they rarely completely bomb, but the end of this season left me a little nonplussed. It didn't seem that fair.

During the reunion show, I was happy about the Sia award. Kind of neat!
