I just learned about the annual December "AndyVent Calendar" through the Halifax ReTales newsletter. It is a fundraiser for Feed Nova Scotia that is in it's 5th year running.
Entries are $5 each and the grand prize (now valued at more than $6000) consists of everything listed on the calendar. There are also runner-up prizes. The business donations are generous - I think they will exceed their goal!
Update:
People living out-of-province are welcome to purchase entries in the draw. I gather people from Texas, Australia, New York, and British Columbia have bought entries with the intention of giving the prize to friends or family if they win.

The 2019 AndyVent calendar fundraiser for Feed Nova Scotia has gone live!
Tickets can be purchased through GoFundMe, PayPal, or by e-transfer.

The AndyVent Calendar 6 debuts December 1st with over $8000 in prizes to be won! (Calendar and 2 Runner Up Prizes!) All donated by generous HRM businesses.

Each $5 donated = 1 entry for a chance to win the entire Calendar of prizes and/or one of the Runner Up Prizes.
Prizes are generously donated by businesses in the HRM. Entries can be purchased by people living outside Halifax (outside of Canada, for that matter). If the winner lives outside NS/Halifax, they can gift the prizes to a friend or family member in Nova Scotia.

The AndyVent Calendar 10 has launched! There are a few changes this time around.
Ticket sales are open to residents of Nova Scotia only. This is such a popular fundraiser, and it grows every year. A fantastic bundle of prizes for the winner, and funds go to a great cause.Unique items and great deals to be found on the Halifax Cat Rescue Society auction page.

The 2024 AndyVent prize calendar is now live, with funds raised going to Feed Nova Scotia!
