I have been getting quite a few Asking Canadians surveys which rewards me with 2,000 Petro Points. Did another one this morning. The ones I don't qualify for I still get 50 -100 Petro Points for being a good sport! ha ha
The last of the Christmas purchases have been wiped away as the CC statements came home to roost.
We always pay in full anyways but at first glance I gave a double take at some of these balances.
Seems I had forgotten that I had made all the payments for my physio, chiro and massage ( all reimbursed from insurance ) treatments with my CC's.

Walkonby- i do the same thing, only its theraphy for oneof my children. i also put any reoccuring bils i can into my cc. we do have a cash back cc...
I take the monthly amount i budget... and transfer that into the cc at teh beginning of the month... as with our paycheques i am able to d that. .. that way its paid in advance... and i get cash back on the 'purchase'. its a system i work at to make sure everthing stays on track . the ocd part of me enjoys it....lol
ok. today... costco , for both me and my mom. then shoppers and foodland. deposited a cheque. dropped off stuff at my moms. chatted for a few. cleaned my kitchen, and put away everything. note to self.. clean fridge before going to store for fruits and veggies... on the other hand... fridge is now clean and i have a pile of use first stuff....lol. and no excuse not to eat healthy. i did "need " to make room inthe fridge and have a stella..... but that is ok.. its not like i am going anywhere.
used my costco rebate for a stock up on Chicken.. and used 1.50 on caddle.
i need to make a menu for the next couple of weeks... i am doing very well on using up ufos out of my fridge freezer pantry. less waste is good.to join earnably https://earnably.com/i/gigi3

Good Evening Everyone,
Well it was a slow start to the day here as my ambition was where ever a good night sleep is hiding. But with that being said I tried to force myself to get some things done. So what I did was pick small items I needed to get done and told myself to just work at it for 10 minutes. Needless to say usually when the 10 minutes is up I keep working away.
I wanted to do some cooking for I made a batch of Egg Roll Stir Fry, now I just need to cook some rice to go with it.
As well I cut up a Cauliflower I will roast off that needs to be used up.
Also we had a bag of potatoes that needed to be used so for tonight's dinner I am making Chicken in Mushroom Gravy over Mashed Potatoes. I made almost the whole bag of potatoes so we have leftovers in the fridge I will use later in the week.
We had 3 bags of cranberries that needed to be sorted so I sorted through those, the good ones will be froze as well I have some that need to be used soon. Will see what recipes I can find online.
As well laundry is almost done, just need to fold the last load, think I will do this after dinner.
I am happy with what i got done today and now if I want tomorrow I might just relax and binge watch, we will see how I feel in the morning.
Hope everyone has a wonderful night, off to check my potatoes and see if they are ready to be mashed.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Good morning all
Well I had to have an emergency visit to my dentist yesterday. Had a sore tooth all week but did think it was anything to bother about. Woke up yesterday to lots of pain and swelling. I have an infection I am on antibiotics and pain meds. Have to go see an oral surgeon to take the tooth out it can't be saved .with all the pain I am having I want it out ASAP.
Not leaving the house today.
Hope you all are having a better week
No money will be spending this weekend. Have lots in the fridge and freezer

I tooth pulled in the front moiler several year back I had no dental then. The first dentist needed to do a simple root canal and screwed that up and hit the nerve inside of the tooth I went home the side of the tooth fell out. I went to a doctor whom put me on antibiotics and a went to another dentist that tried to save the tooth but no luck in the end of the session pulled out the tooth. I was in agony as they tried to yank out the tooth apparently I have deep tooth roots. After it was all said and done there is a gaping hole where the tooth was. I used to have braces as a kid my teeth were straight now they are crooked again. So much for all the money spent on my teeth when I was a kid by parents. I wish I had better teeth I had them for years up until I started to take psych meds and they dry out your mouth all the time something in the meds also play tribute to brittle teeth as well. 500$ a year for dental and a free cleaning once a year just doesn’t cover everything. Some times the extraction is the whole budget but other times it’s something else like cosmetic things aren’t covered like white fillings or being put to sleep while the work is being done. As well as wisdom tooth extraction is apparently cosmetic.
I need to get blood work done but it’s not open today I don’t think. I was going to do it yesterday but I slept in. By time I got dressed it was 3:30pm it was a lazy Saturday. Now my Sunday is nothing like that I was awoken by noise above every time I try to go back to sleep the chick across the hall intentionally slams her door closed from the outside. I am trying to tell myself not to go out in the hallway and confront her.
Anyways i went to no frills on Friday and bought Irish cream caramel flavour $2.17, bacon 2.88$ and club pack of chicken breasts for 11.72$. There was massive amounts of lines of all these people stocking up on eggs 18 pack for 2.88$ limit of 4. I don’t eat that many eggs I go through a carton of 12 in a month. Mostly they are put in something. I am allergic to them eggs the yolk itself not the albumin. I wish stores would go back to cartons of 6 eggs again. It would be really helpful.
With the chicken on Friday I made chicken sandwiches with bacon, on Saturday I made chicken penne Alfredo pasta. And today I have two breasts left but a little sick of chicken. Since I have leftovers of pasta, i ate some for breakfast.
Anyways I am going to see what is on the agenda today and do whatever.
Laters all.
Have a good day!

I use my cash back credit for everything and it really adds up! I have tangerine so it goes straight into my savings account (with 2% in three categories). I was using my pc credit card for points but prefer seeing cash in my savings account. Unfortunately there is no incentive to pay cash or debit so I use credit card and transfer money to my card once the bill arrives, as there is a 3 week payment due date after the statement comes in.
My tv antenna which my cats keep playing with isn't working good, so I ordered a new one from Costco for $60 (shipping included) as I refuse to get cable. Little things like saving on cable, cellphone, etc really adds up.

@greentires4me I wanted the eggs at No frills as we use a lot of eggs, cheap protein for a DH (training for another Ironman) and a teenage boy and myself on WW, but I refuse to buy US eggs and even though the flyer shows Canadian the store had US. I may see what RCSS has and PM there as I need to do a return. My morning was totally messed up when I went to NF, came out and my SUV would not start. I have never had a issue and its almost 5 years old with 120000kms so it was time. Thankfully it was just the battery but the CAA tech could not get my battery out to do the roadside replacement so its going in to Canadian Tire in the morning. @barbis9 we gave up cable years ago and I don't miss it. DH strung up an antenna and it works just fine. I was just so fed up with Cogeco and the cost for crappy service. Although DS1 reports Netflix is increasing its cost soon. I don't use it very often but the kids both love it so I may tell them if they want to keep it they are going to share the cost as I could live without it.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.
