Now I know why the heating kicked in at bedtime-the snow was falling outside last night. Grateful it's fluffy and light so I shovelled this morning after breakfast.
Am doing a short visit on the East Mountain then busing home. Too windy to be outside for long. Picked up 1 99 cent jug of bleach and 4 Vim cleansers at the nearby Rexall. Will see if downtown store tomorrow has more bleach.

Could not resist but had a McDonalds meal with coupon for lunch! Very busy and long wait for pickup. But it's done.
    Enjoy Ms. Sunshine everyone!

We’ve been getting some food prep done today. I oven baked a pan of chicken thighs and a pan of chicken breasts. We had chicken wraps for lunch. I chopped up the rest of the chicken thighs and put them in the fridge. Cooked chicken breasts are also in the fridge. We bought lean ground been for $2.99/lb. We put some into freezer bags. We’re in the process of oven baking meatballs for the freezer. 3 cookie sheets are already cooked, drained, cooked and in a freezer bag.

I thawed some bananas. I plan on baking banana bread with daycare kids in the morning. Tuesday is a no school day, so extra kids to feed.

morning all -these pills are so strong -I was running to toilet 5 times yesterday had a fever,so I told son I couldn't babysit today .Hubby has to go pick Ashlyn from the bus this afternoon ,as all my daughter-in-law's friends are working

Hubby just went out as he hasn't been out in 3 days ,he is going to doctor on Tuesday morning so I asked him to pick up milk at shoppers ,good thing I picked up 2 loaves of bread at rexall for 1.99 the other day when I got my prescription

I hope this contact dermatitis wound doesnt leave a scar ,in my mind I am pretty sure it wasn't shingles but since the doctor couldn't rule it out I am on a 7 day course of meds and bio-K probiotics I bought too

At least I am not out spending ,I missed out on all the extra points deals except I did get the granola bars on Thursday at shoppers seniors day ,mind you they were all picked over,so I guess I am being frugal by defalt-lol

Happy Monday!! Cold one here today too. May as well be inside at work.

We went for a late dinner last night at the casino to use up the free food comps. Had $195.21 to use up. Our meal was $194 and change! We split a large salad ($12) 2Lbs fresh lobster ($85) 24oz steak ($75) (I didn't eat much steak or lobster but was full. We tried it and happy we did but would never get it again. Even the steak for that price wouldn't be worth it. Love the tenderloin much better. We have $225 for Feb so will go near the end of the month again. Was a nice night out together for sure though.

I need to get groceries today for sure. The fridge is looking empty. The teen has eaten his way through all the eggs etc this weekend. Will cook up a storm this week. Roast and mashed potatoes with gravy etc is on the menu for sure!

Our fridge is full. I’m still waiting for a trade that I completed a week ago. I traded for a bunch of $0.75 Lucerne milk coupons. They can be used on any size container of milk and we go through a lot of milk each week.

Lots of snow today, staying in and keeping warm. Overspent again this month, so today is a no spend day. I have season 2 of The Handmaids Tale from the library to watch.

For those who have Netflix, the following Oscar nominated movies are available:

I watched black panther on the weekend.

So verdict be i now have a kidney infection and it’s hurts real bad. Worse pain I have ever felt besides breaking that bone in my foot. Or breaking my nose on the bathroom door at work.

I am waiting on amazon package today to be delivered. My enter phone is turned back on so I can hear it, hopefully it’s our regular mail lady and not some other strange mail carrier.

I have an lunch date with my support worker not sure where we are going just yet. But it’s not till 1pm today.

My friend woke me up at 11:35pm after I went to bed at 7:35pm I stayed up until 2:30/3:30am then went back to sleep until 8am.

I need to call someone and text someone else laters.

I bought youngest DS a new leather wallet for his birthday in September. It was marked down at Costco. I will tuck away $ in it over the next few months and that will be 1 gift ready to wrap

This Monday is some kind of moody day! Health card system was down (no reason given but apparently it's province-wide), I literally ran across the street and down a block to catch the bus back to town, had experienced a bus drift behind the articulated section when it was at the college bus terminal, pressed the wrong elevator level (elevator would not light up my choice nor move in said direction) in two elevators before making a remark and was told I needed a different level and the traffic lights were flashing red all around Upper James and Rymal St. this morning. Did get a priority stamp on my health card form for when I return another time. Hmm, instead of downtown I may try the Upper James location-only about three blocks from Harvey's where I can get my free burger (offer came by e-mail today, as did dessert offer from Swiss Chalet).

So I did not get into Jackson Square today to check out Dollarama (thanks @barbis9 for the clearance shampoo tip-Ancaster store does not have the one I want but interestingly carries Herbal Essence's Hello Hydration which still sold in usual stores) and Rexall for the Be. Better food sampling on from today until Thursday (customer appreciation event). If the weather warms up/improves by Thursday, I may try the West Mountain stores and see what I find!

Consolation treats-two candy cane donuts from Tim Horton's. Gave one to a friend to mark the day. Ha, today was nearly as cold on this day 6 years ago but then it was sunny all day despite the windburn from the windchill (it was about -28C).

Had to use a sink plunger yesterday to resolve a slow-drain in the basement bathroom. It was obviously it was not just a little gunk was stuck but hot water, liquid soap and lots of pumping got the situation remedied in a few minutes.

Will have to shovel some snow when I get home, put the remaining sweet potatoes into the oven (diced and spiced, of course) and find my cookie ingredients. Want buttered popcorn too. No cake-that's for June.

Got confirmation that I have a seat on the casino bus for Feb. 20 (Fallsview's Lunar New Year draw promotion ends on that day as well)! Woohoo! Must budget some $ for that.

Mom did the banking on the weekend. I was able to place an online order for a second pair of shoes (same ones holding together 5 months later but due to sole wear, I have slipped on salty slush lately)--think Thursday might be the earliest for delivery due to today's weather slowing things moving on the roads.

Gratitude rep that there is no indication yet that the HPL system will close early (must have Internet!). I have seen noticed other libraries cancelling programs but remaining open through Twitter posts (best thing ever for current event updates). Sheridan College will close at 4pm today due to the weather.

While using the Mac computer, Firefox seemingly froze on me in three tabs. I tried to like three posts here and the screen went kind of frosted out and the icon kept circling but did nothing. Had to reboot to get going but even Chrome browser was sluggish. Not sure what happened. Also, that Mac does not have a letter setting for printing-8x10 or 8x12 are the closest sizes. Thus I changed computers to get my burger deal printed (2-sided).

Ah, the snow is now looking like the snow in a snow globe. Pretty to see but not fun to walk in or shovel. Still somewhat light snow--must remember to break up ice from the downspouts again. Noticed a long icicle hanging off one roof corner from the garage. Melted ice must be detouring from the eaves up there.

Dinner might be cooked penne with basil pesto again. Found it delicious last week. Stay warm!
