I started my Christmas stocking stuffers bin right after Christmas. I've got 2 (4 packs) of socks for my youngest and dh from Mark's clearance online sale with free shipping with no spending limit which was great. A hydration pack for my eldest as he likes to hike & camp. Nivea lip balm for the boys. 2 sets of hygiene kits for the kids (tools versus products). A tumbler with a straw for dh for water at work. And I'll have to have a peak as I'm sure I'm forgetting something (lol).2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!

I intend to hit the yard sales, hard and hot, this spring and summer. It is touch and go but I usually find a few unopened items, like candles, that look brand new but are marked way, way down. I got my mother-in-law a calligraphy kit a few years ago that was marked down from about $40 to about $4. And she loved it. So I'll be Christmas shopping at yard sale tables this year. A good way to pick up other things I need for the house. I don't know where all my paring knives go...

I got P2 and LilP to put away all the seasonal decorations which had just been dumped in the basement. P2 found 8 rolls of unused Christmas wrapping paper, 4 rolls of birthday wrapping paper and 4 opened boxes of Christmas cards...I'm kind of embarrassed by the amount of stuff I'd duplicated.
Short answer : no Long answer : NOOOOOOOOOOO!

Walmart cancelled my order a few hours after I made it. Happy though because of course I didn't read the reviews before and 2 of the items were not advertised truthfully and not what I wanted. And from a different seller then Walmart it seemed. I didn't know they did this so it seemed returns were a nightmare. Happy they cancelled it.

I got a pretty good start on my shopping after Christmas. I ran out of wrapping paper so I stocked up at walmart, 24c a roll, I kept finding good deals for it everywhere and I had to stop myself from buying more! I can only store so much! I bought a few bags of nice bows too, I use those all year for birthdays too. We started going gift exchanges instead of buying for everyone so I got a few nice random gifts on clearance like Winnipeg Jets glass sets for great prices at Shoppers. I found jammies for my adult daughter at GT cheap too. My xmas bag is filling up nicely!
