2ND Quarter property taxes are due end of April. I went yesterday and paid them with casino win. Now I have the budgeted amount on payday to decide what to do with.
I also put $100 credit on the water and sewer bill while there. (she said I now have a $250 credit on that account)

Started a new loonie savings pot with $55 to start! Will think about what the goal is and what it is for.

I suggest adding all the extra cash towards your planned trip to that Jamaican wedding you will be attending. Never know what shopping, cause or activity might get your attention while visiting the island!

I need my debit card unlocked by May or June at the latest as card won't work at stores plus I am used to using it at the optometrist's office to pay for an exam fee. And I'll need new runners by then, most likely from the online store. Need access to someone's Internet device at home so I can get the code via home phone when I make the request online.

Have to get cracking on mutual funds research (plan to rebalance them in May) and also TFSA investments (need to get something moved for April when I know what to suggest) this month to help advise Mom on what to do with two investments that Dad left her so she can count on interest income and semi-annual cheques to help her financially each year. Printed values from March 23 finance pages for another investment that technically became Mom's on that day but last known traded values are from March 22. Also will develop a monthly utility budget-one utility kept the equal billing amount the same as when account was under Dad's name but another increased the monthly amount by $3-for Mom.

Need a tablet/laptop/desktop computer that is new and works plus a new router for home by Dec. 31. A new printer with lots of memory slots would be a bonus (current one does not take USB keys) addition.

This last item may seem odd but I resolve to figure out how to pay for a plot for me and to plan a prepaid funeral (or finance one), so that I know by age 60 that I have those matters covered or in the process of being covered. Since a fee guide was provided by the funeral home just after Dad's arrangements were made, I have a current opportunity to review fees and think what I might like for my own service. Considering that I do not have any life insurance policies, there is no "other money" to step into this financial decision.

Ok I have started my new Loonie savings goal (am using small almond butter container I just finished) It holds $200.
So the new goal is "December Grocery Stock-up" Ideally to do so after Christmas to give us a great start to January 2020 Just started it with $51. $149 to go!

Next goal is bigger so will be using my soon to be empty peanut butter container at home. Hockey Tournament Weekend away x 2. $700 is the goal and should totally cover with extra money leftover since I am pretty good at bringing us good meals/food and just eat out for team dinners.

Payday on Tuesday so did the budget clean up today. Set up payments to pay out on Tuesday so it is done. Credit cards paid in full.
Freezer is still full of food so trying to use up stuff before adding more unless it is a super deal. Rotating stuff to use up the older stuff first. I was at my mom's the other day and see I still have about 12 bags of fries there so should bring them home to use up.

Payday is Wednesday so budget clean up.
Vehicle will need gas around the weekend so will plan to fill up this week before long weekend price increase. fill up at Mobil to complete the "fill up twice get 2,000 bonus PC PTS" Will put the money on my credit card for this.
Grocery plan- Using up what we have at home to not touch food budget and let it build- 2 week is the plan to only buy fresh if needed using bag of change.

Planning a huge financial saving plan next year for myself for retirement so the plan is to start now on certain things so all extra money can go towards this in 2020.
Selling the clutter is huge now! Every extra $1 counts! (stocking the house up on essentials on great deals etc so it doesn't have to be purchased at all next year) (examples- Body wash! toothpaste- shampoo/conditioner-pasta sauce- canned tomatoes and beans.)I will take inventory over the next few weeks and make up list of things we don't need to buy and things to watch for on sale/super deal etc)

DS's cell phone is done its contract next month so I need to change it to a lower plan. He can make do as is and ask for a new phone for his birthday or Christmas.

Payday is on Friday so cleaned up the budget.

My PC pts are at $692 on my one card and $20 on the other. I have a few big things going on my credit card (trip/car and house insurance) so that should net me another $60 in points. The plan is to keep building them but be ready to do a redemption on a super meat deal when found. (hopefully not till the fall. wanting to continue using up what we have since our freezer is pretty full and still have a good selection)

I haven't been posting anything for sale. Its just time consuming so I think I need to plan a garage sale and that should motivate me.

Stock up- I have done well. This past month I have stocked up on Dove body wash, Dove Shampoo and conditioner and olive oil and basmati rice. Shouldn't need to buy any of that stuff for over a year. (the body was for sure. I bought 17 bottles and 5 before that and I still have Aveeno body wash from the $5 coupon where I just paid the tax on it. think I am good for over 2 years for body wash )
