Morning!! Raining here today too but that means it is making the snow go away

I was so tired last night. Couldn't even watch tv. Rested my eyes for a bit then went back to the kitchen to sort the wings and put in the fridge. Happy to have that food ready for the kids. I tried one last night and they were really good. I out did myself!! Such a deal that was. I have about 4 x 3.5lb bags left in the freezer. Trying to use stuff up before the next deal.

    Have a wonderful day everyone!

@Giseledta Happy Birthday! @coupon girl You do your mother great credit by missing her so much. She must have been wonderful.

Sullen day out there. Rainy and gray. I missed the supermoon last night because of the solidly overcast sky. Maybe tonight? A bit of a sullen day here inside the house as well. Woke up in a bad mood...so I'll sign off and not share around the gloom. At least the Mega Miles are posted.

    @gisele tda happy birthday...

I am waiting on something that’s out for delivery by Canada post but it sounds like there is ambulances and fire trucks in the middle of the intersection on the main drag.

Yesterday I walked 6km or 9,500 steps. I didnt take pictures of the moon it was clear outside.

Today it’s sunny outside i can see that through my blinds. This morning i ordered blackout blinds on Amazon.ca for my giant window I will figure out something for my small window in the near future. There is nothing to look at all out my window besides the overweight guy who comes out in a speedo in the apartment across the way onto his balcony. Eye candy I rather not care for. Plus across the way they have lights that shine into my suite that are very bright at night. They have been asked several times to take them down by the city but continue to pay the fines instead.

My town continues to make the news for he homeless issue. The provincial government has stepped over the city and has declared a state of emergency in this town for the issue. They are going ahead and building another supportive housing building. Where people don’t want it a very opposed group. Probably the same kind of mentality as when they put up the modulars.

I need to wait until I go to the store to pick up more fixodent for someone and an amazon gift card. But maybe I can do that Tomorrow I have an appointment at 2pm with MH. I see my gp today. I really need groceries to but I am waiting on something I think. It’s spring break here so kids and there parents are everywhere and the traffic is heavy like the summer time. Gas is expensive I think my sister said it’s 159.9$/litre yesterday they are expecting it to go up in some areas too 163.9$/litre. Insurance goes up April 1st by 200-400$ stupid ICBC monopoly.

Anyways going to go now laters.

If you have windows from this century, maybe a seal is not working (it broke and is letting in air). Otherwise, condensation on older windows can result from cooking that is not vented or gaps around the windows. Have that condensation issue all cold days in fall and winter (no range hood in our home; steamy cooking ups the condensation quotient) with the old wooden windows at home. There had been an intention to work on the windows about 6 years ago (one year after the living room was repainted) but time has slipped by and the task is added to all the home improvements we'd like to see done in the near future.

Happy Birthday and welcome to the #Gold Club, @Giseledta !

There was a Supermoon yesterday? It was raining last night when I left the library and I don't recall seeing the moon or I was just ensuring my blinking armband (Kikkerland Slapband has 3 settings) was keeping me visible to the night drivers.

Main bathroom sink has not been draining in the past couple of weeks, so I took off the u-bend joint (not clogged, surprise) and with it came the drain assembly that should have stayed connected had broken (under the seat or the metal ring in the sink and corroded for good when I took the joint off; pipe is 18-1/2 yr old so time's up). So a loud couple of rounds of who will be the plumber? ensued. I went to see prices for drain assemblies at Lowes but decided my sibling could well afford one. Instead, I got a new floral print coir mat (to welcome spring and to replace the old mat) and Moen tub strips for when the bathtub is cleaned better and to provide traction (the mat was pitched).

Today, cleaning up the workshop to look for any spare sink parts was the goal. I have reorganized some tools and drawer contents-a more thorough sifting through the too many bits and pieces will be an April goal. I also swept most of the floor and the cobwebs under the rafters and around the furnace and water heater. Glad to put one bag of trash outside. Need to get the house vacuum cleaner (it has a long cord) to nab more dust in the workshop to wrap up the clean up. Think I should oil some hinges while I am in the area again. Have to find the circulating pump diagram to see where oil goes as according to late Dad's last notation, it was almost a year ago that he had oiled said pump! Not keen to wait for the wailing squeal when the oil level s low. I know the motor behind the furnace is dripping oil. I cleaned up the puddle on the makeshift drip tray (lid of a large Rubbermaid storage container) today while removing the various webs from all sorts of pipes and walls.

Photo printing update-I went to Shoppers to do my in-store photo printing at 29 cents per print. Very happy-just needed to provide my name and phone number (email addy optional) after I picked my pics then changed the quantities for each image and then the cashier released my order, my receipt printed and I paid at the counter! No need to make an account and all memory media options were available. I've mailed the photos to six set of relatives over the past two days. At Fortino's, the one of two working photo print terminals did not have a working USB port while the other unit not in use did have a USB port. With Walmart, I had to make an account but would not have been able to pick up prints locally. So I'll take my prints off that portal (but the Walmart photo place still has 10 cents per print pricing if you have a minimum number of prints until the end of March).

Meanwhile, my debit card is effectively frozen in that it won't work at stores (had declinations at Fortinos and Lowes which meant walking to the bank for cash), but just at the bank and ATMs. Unless I have a friend or brother willing to allow Internet access on their gadget at my house to get my online account to send an id code to my home phone, I seem to have locked my card. Same process repeats if I try to set up e-transfer. I'm looking at the situation as a temporary positive (no more online shopping orders, slowing down my retail shopping) but realize I need to remedy it by May when I likely will need a new pair of runners (unless the discount store has something I can wear) from the online vendor. Well, I did have a very merry Jan. and Feb. online shopping so that adrenaline rush has been had.

As for my own personal quest to work on feelings, I have been watching Youtube videos of a certain person when I have the quiet house to myself. Best environment to feel and to react to content without judgement. Also just got my library book by the same person and began to read it.

Friday goals-buy thread at Walmart and work on Mom's skirts so she has more to wear beyond the one "new" everyday one in regular wear. I know I need more black thread and when I mended my gray undershirt (hole under one armhole), realized I did not have dark gray thread so used a gray-brown thread I did have for the repair. Get some raking done if I can get the minibarn door to open without jamming. Garden work is put off until April but I have seeds and there are more seeds to examine that Dad left behind as well. Pruning remains an elusive situation for now--have to do what I can first then find my time to get those tree branches down before Tuesday.

Found an interesting tidbit in the Spring 2019 issue of Ricardo (it's the last English edition!): gomashio. A Japanese condiment made from 95% unhulled sesame seeds and 5% salt is one way to reduce salt in one's food. To make your own gomashio at home:
roast unhulled brown sesame seeds in a pan or oven and add salt (2 cups of seeds to 1-3 tbsp of salt). Grind with a mortar and pestle or a spice mill until the texture is sandy and then store in a jar and keep in a cool, dry place.

TGIF!!! Crappy day here today. Heavy snow at the moment.

Put $10 in DS's birthday wallet. It's almost at the amount I want!

I brought leftovers (mushroom/beef ravioli in a rose sauce and a few sweet potato fries from my sisters meal) from free dinner for my lunch today.

I see Rona has windshield fluid on for $1.99 again (I missed it last time) pretty good price these days. Years ago RCSS was clearing it out at .99 bottle and I bought around 12. Lasted us awhile.

Since it was crappy out I let DS sleep in and drove him to school. I washed up the dishes in the sink while he was in the shower so they are drying on the counter.
Dinner tonight- I think it may be a Netflix and Chinese night!
