Prayers for your family coupon girl
JohnB I have to agree that I have never heard the best things about having a car serviced at Canadian Tire. Sadly I think people feel safe going to them but in the last few months I have seen a number of people on facebook discussing how Canadian Tire did something like this were they over charged them for something that did not need and in the end they just had to accept it, pay for it and move on.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Good morning. Sunny but cold day here today. Tonight is clean the kitchen and laundry night. I will work hard like a little beaver!
We almost forgot it was garbage day today. Recycling has been piling up since its been stormy on this day and didn't want it blowing around. I wish I had grabbed some junk from the basement to toss since there was room in the bin, oh well next week! I can add a bag to my mom's too since she doesn't have much.
I finally returned a bunch of items to Costco on the weekend. One item was a box of books (it was a Christmas gift for DS 3 years ago apparently lol) He never opened them because his teacher had the same set in class and they could read them. They said since it was so old it was put on a cash card $20.99. The rest was a credit of over $100 on my credit card which was nice. I only spent $22.59 on pillows which I haven't opened yet. Will deal with the pile in the laundry room and see if we need them but I do think I will like them. Good sleep is important! Just like not skimping on footwear. Your feet need to carry you around! Keep them comfortable!

@SassyAshley , I would have to agree that it is a certain level of "safety", but for me, the EPP is my lifesaver since I could never afford to pay for auto-work outright (Well, I do have the money, but I don't want to drain my savings to pay for repairs, so that's why I use the EPP). But from now on, I will always bring all my repair invoices when I go so I can look through them all before agreeing to any work on my car to make sure they don't suggest something that has already been done.

I would suggest having them call/speak to you first before having anything extra done, that way there is no surprises. Also if you request a certain mechanic on a regular basis, they can bypass some of the unnecessary tests and procedures. (I used to date a Canadian tire mechanic)
While I understand why you use Canadian tire, I would suggest getting a second opinion from another garage if you are quoted a large repair/amount. A private garage might give you a price break if you explain you are a student and/or tell you if something is absolutely necessary or not.
I googled fuel injection flushing and it was listed as unnecessary unless you were having significant engine issues.....I suspect if you did you would have brought that up. I hope this info helps.

@Frugalbigmama -I'm curious: did Ms. Carey sing well during her show at the casino? Given her past couple of years of varying quality of performances, did she give the show her best?
@SassyAshley -glad that your surprise party allowed you to be with people you don't often see! Happy early birthday!
@coupongirl -I too have some bathroom caulking that needs replacing. Wish to emulate your recent task soon! Will keep your half-brother in thoughts and prayers.
@Angela273 -yay on the CT money find and congrats on the teaching day too! The wind blew two 5 cents CT bills on my weekend walks-rare to find two on the same day.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

Saturday-my best friend took me out to Port Dover for part of the day and the bracing air, water and sunshine lent itself to some walking, shopping and fish lunching! Then we went to my local thrift store and we spent maybe an hour browsing. I have a new to me bath towel in variegated aqua tones.
Sunday-did some walking and found treasures.
Monday-finally got the two stepladders out (the taller one took some MacGyvering to get off one of the two high L-hooks in the garage) and managed to start loping off branches. My back was not thrilled with the ladder lifting and I spent my evening relaxing in bed after doing the requisite laundering of attire and shoes (mud). Also put out some bags of things not needed from the mini-barn and did a little raking (bagged and taken to the curb). And rediscovered Dad's little green bin purchased from a few years ago (the Universe answered my question of how I'd get a little cart if the City program requires one to take a service number to a community recycling centre (no walk-ins permitted-need a vehicle to enter). Now it can replace the 11 year old larger cart that will no longer be allowed to contain yard waste for weekly collection.
I was looking at the Spectator online and saw the story that about half of the recyclables collected from apartment and condo towers cannot be recycled due to contamination. I recently was wondering the recycling rate of higher-density housing within Hamilton, so another answer is found.
Tuesday-tossed out a lot of unused trash tags. There were other things I would have gladly added to the curb but I refuse to re take apart the same two chairs from last fall that Bro put back together. My back was happy I did not work on them today. May yet pull out the ladders to continue taking down some branches as they have begun to bud and the weekend forecast indicates the possibility of snow overnight.
Happily spotted emerging tulip leafs in all of the spots where I planted them! Year 4 for the bulbs.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

The M&M foods at Rexall stores-the latter has stores in higher density areas so the entrees and maybe some veggie or "game food" items are the most probable items we'll see in the Rexall stores. For shoppers on the M&M loyalty program, they'll still have coupons to load if they like specific deals and there are ongoing $ off orders when you spend a minimum amount (depending on the promo) for online orders through the M&M foods site.
I've only shopped my local M&M Foods twice this year but love the salmon fillet, Ancient Grains (now discontinued) and the beef chili. The California mix veggies might be more expensive than at a grocery store; however, when I was doing the big shop in January, I knew I needed that veggie mix along with other items, so I found the option handy to get.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

evening-I went to see my brother at noon today(it was hard ) -he is in an induced state of cooling for his body ,as they don't know how long he was without oxygen,he made the front page of our local paper today an ece student at mohawk college provided CPR on him on a local city bus(she even was in a wheelchair due to a knee injury) til parametics arrived ,maybe she gave him a fighting chance .
ceil -I had to redo a little more chauking infront and behind of the shower door track I didn't have it that thick there,i tell you that was some job ,so hopefully this is a great fix .
We stopped at limeridge mall on the way home hubby and I -as gymboyee was closing on wed ,they had nothing left for my grandkids ,only a few baby clothing
Then went into home outfitters their liquidation just began so its only 10% off not that much of a great deal yet ,so bought nothing
Supper was a homemade egg mcmuffin for me and hubby had pasta

Looks like my sister is actually doing it she’s moving away to Interior of BC to be with her boyfriend. I guess i won’t see her even more often now than I did before. But then again I hadn’t seen her for a real long time either. Considering we live in the same town but she is was always working and doing her own thing. We are 6 years apart and we live very different lives. She basically let the cat out of the bag on Facebook about moving away 5hours from here. I knew she was moving away just couldn’t remember when.
I am really tired today went for an appointment then went to Walmart then went to A&W then came home then shared a burger with someone. I wanted a nap but for 90mins it didn’t work. Have another appointment in less than 15mins.
I got a new can opener for $10, a box of popsicles for $7, and Johnny Cash CD for $5. Where as my mom bought lots of things on clearance sale for toys I suppose that’s for her shoe box kids.
I wonder what my sister wants for house warming.
Anyways laters.

Good morning! Went to bed early last night so i have been up for awhile. I have ribs thawed in sink to toss in crockpot. 6lbs ! Then when home will sauce up and toss in oven with a tray of fries and some onion rings. Happy to have that huge and old package out of the freezer!
I also took out a huge tray of drumsticks (.99lb what a deal). I will spice them up and cut up potatoes and put in large baking dish and probably cook tonight for tomorrow nights dinner.

She was ok but I am not a big fan so probably the wrong person to ask. The show itself looked good, nice stage set up, back up singers, dancers etc.
Tickets started at $140 each plus taxes and service charges. Doors opened at 7pm show to start at 8pm. She came out at 930pm. I was already going to sneak out early and the show would have been done by 930 I was guessing but I left after a few songs and my sister left shortly after I did. I didn't spend a penny that night (free tickets, free show and actually made almost $50 from free slot play) and I was annoyed at her lateness and she wasn't spectacular so I can imagine anyone that was a big fan, paid for tickets, dinner, a room maybe even and travelled far to get there I'm sure would not be impressed. But now I have seen her and I know what I'm not missing lol Another jot in the memory book
