I saw some coupons come through for First Choice in the mail recently. Smart Style (or whatever it's called in Walmart) may be running a promotion as well.
Our household has resorted to the $1.25 22L white garbage bags and $2 for the larger (32L?) size white bagsfor the kitchen garbage bin (if shopping bags are low or not around) from the local Dollarama store.

Noticed that there was no Walmart flyer in the paper bundle last night so will look at the flyer on the forum instead.
Last night, I popped into Cdn Tire and noticed my fave pair of Yardworks gloves is not part of the sale (week 2) but my size is in stock, so I'll get a pair when the HST credit comes in next week.

What a blah looking sky outside-minimal sunshine too. Managed to get some basic tidying done and a load of towels washed before I left in the afternoon. Got 60 cents back from collected containers redeemed at the beer store. Am stumped for dinner options-spaghetti sauce and fettucine is okay but not thrilling.

Have to coupon fairy some March 31 expiries at the store-found them in a pile of papers in my room today.

Like someone pointed out recently there are a lots of Aries in this group, my bday is in April.
    Have a happy day Lizzie.
For garbage bags I buy the no name. Usually at SDM when I need to bump up to a points threshold. We done use many but they are fairly strong and often sale. I received confirmation today my Sobeys gift card worked the receipt was two sided and impossible to get into one picture so it took a bit of work. I was surprised they even had any left this late into the promo.

    TGIF!!!!

I was out of town yesterday and stopped at the Freshco on my way home. They had chicken drumsticks on for $1.99LB and each package had $2 coupon on them. I grabbed 4 all avg price of $3.93 each so $1.93 after coupon. Funny thing was I had drumsticks thawed in fridge to go in the oven last night. So I put the new chicken in the freezer at the back so I use up the other .99Lb drumsticks 1st. Happy that my boys like them. I also bought a huge bunch of asparagus and some tomatoes. Can't wait to cook up some yummy meals.

Today is beautiful out. I left my winter coat in the car and I am thinking of washing it and putting it in my closet for good. Tomorrow is vehicle clean out! Tonight I will bring in all the junk in it so it's ready to clean tomorrow. Hoping we can go watch the hockey game at the casino tomorrow night since they gave me bonus free slot play. I usually am pretty lucky and win $ to take home. (and free dinner doesn't hurt either!)
On the hunt for a new bike for DS this weekend. I'm happy he has a good group of friends that are very active and I trust them all. They are a good group of kids.

I’m going to go out to Walmart I have a gift card burning a hole in my pocket. I am going to get mayo and disposable plates and maybe some cheese as well. Then go to dollar tree and buy pasta salad mix plus some easter chocolate.

Problem is I am still laying in bed I have the motive just not the motivation.

Went to shoppers last night and used my 10,000 bonus points if you spend $40 voucher. The male cashier said I was short $1.67 from $50 before tax, so I bought 2 chocolate bars and got a $10 voucher too along with 20% off seniors day. Very happy but was shorted basic optimum points again - did an online inquiry and was quickly credited. Stocked up on cat food and groceries so $20 back was worth it.

Wanted to take a look at RCSS and see if any deals. grabbed 4 Cavendish fries (PM GT for $1.99 less $1 coupon) and 4 PC frozen veggies at $1.99 each (PM Valu-mart) I grabbed a bag of the peppers/onion mix to try for fahitas this week. Great for a weeknight quick meal/or when pepper prices are crazy. I need to sort my freezer this weekend since I have to rotate stuff etc. I can always put stuff in my mom's freezer if needed. I just don't want to go to crazy but the way groceries are going up up up I need to keep on top of the sales. It really makes a difference having a stocked freezer on the weeks the sale flyers aren't great.

@Giseledta - Yes I heard that comes into effect on April 1st. The radio said to fill up the gas tank today because it will go up 5cents a litre tomorrow and even more in the coming weeks.
We dealt with this before when gas prices went up and the cost of everything shipped went up too. But when gas went down the higher surcharges etc weren't removed.

Eggs- I cleaned out the fridge the other night and we have 7 cartons of eggs! OMG! So eggs are on the menu for brunch/breakfast for the next week! Still have the 4pks of English muffins in the freezer to use up so no bread purchases this week.

Pretty proud of my savings today. Called Serius and said I just can``t justify the cost, she offered a better rate and I said no and then she came back @ less then 10.00 a month so I said yes. I also realized I had device insurance on my iPhone and its way to old to worry about device insurance, that was a super quick 11.00 back in my pocket. Dinner is in the crockpot as I am working at home today and DH has to work the weekend. The weather is amazing so I may try to take a shirt break and soak up the sun.

Glad to be back in the Six after months traveling watching snooker !!

Did a great shop today. Noticed the online freshco flyer had additional pages compared to the printed one. In particular the last page had a PLU code for $4.00 off Finish products. Off I went to freshco. Stocked up on dishwasher cleaner for $1.47 each and rinse aid for 4.49 each (207 unit variety). Cannot beat that. This is not in the printed flyer but it does appear in f l i p p. Good for years now on both!!

But since I am flying to China tomorrow for the China open I will wait to use them.

    Cheerio!!
