I am in complete agreement with you. It is an archaic practice that serves no purpose. It needs to stay right where it is right now.
Love that we don't change in SK.
(Btw, just posted a comment in the other thread that it's Daylight Saving Time.)
my vote is a sleepy YES!! Stop the clock changing.
So much for staying on par with US states also doing DST but I concur-let's stop the clock shifting. Maybe it'll be better for stores to shift hours of opening and closing to account for the midday heat soon to come along so customers don't melt on the asphalt.
Now if our Premiers would just get the issue resolved the next time they meet together before getting mired in funding issues...
Still adjusting to the clock change one week later. Might need to catch up on a long sleep this weekend. Making like a cat and curling up under some throws in a warm nook somewhere...:cat:
The European Union has voted to let its member nations decide if they want to be on wintertime (standard time) or summertime (daylight savings time) once 2021 comes around. The EU does not want to be changing clocks anymore after that year.

However, the UK will stick to seasonal clock changes.
This is news (I knew about Arizona):
Quote:
The seasonal time shift has also been the subject of debate in the United States, where legislators have tried unsuccessfully to abolish it. For now, Hawaii and most of Arizona do not follow the practice.
Lucky them, I still haven't adjusted to the change.
About week two after the spring clock change, my mind and body no longer seem affected. But the first week was definitely a bummer for me.
I'd be OK with not changing it if we could keep daylight savings time. I hate how early it gets dark in the winter.
We have less than 3 years left until Ontarians can elect a new government. Plenty of time to seek a referendum question on the matter (as Time is a Provincial concern). If the EU countries have to decide on Standard (winter) or Daylight (summer) time by next year, so should North American provinces and states.
Can we make it to November on Daylight Savings Time? I want the clock change next month to Standard Time. Most of us will be thinking like that due to the shorter daylight hours.
One month to go until Daylight Savings Time messes up our routines for spring and well into fall 2020. Sunday March 8--remember! Your electronic devices mostly should make the time change.
EU member nations still have this year to decide which time to keep year-round in their nations, as 2021 is go-time for staying on one time forever.
Still adjusting to Sunday's clock change forward. No matter what hour I get up in the morning, I still feel like going to sleep two hours later. Today I had to buy juice or else it was going to be a cola!
The only reason I could understand why Ontario would want to adopt DST full-time is that 7 months of the year, we are already on DST. Saw the item on Twitter that the Weather Network mentioned the bill to go to DST all-year round is in its second reading. Did I miss the bill in the news???

The catches to the bill become real-Province of Quebec and the US State of New York have to do the same.
I would be more in-line with regular Eastern Standard Time. Think that would be find with QC and NY, as the three jurisdictions are economic powerhouses in the EST zone.
