    Hello all!
I did 20x the points at Shoppers this morning. Stocked us up on some good household items. Have laundry on the go. All clean stuff has been put away. Cooked up ground beef. Was going to make pasta sauce but i have none. Will make it Tuesday night instead but at least the beef is cooked. So that will use up the peppers, tomatoes, onion etc in fridge. Kitchen is clean!

Sassy Ashley-please take the time you need to heal after surgery-try to put your health first!!-if you push too hard, too fast you may regret it. We all feel indispensable in our roles, but whether you need 3 days, a week or 3 weeks off to recover-the world and the job will keep on going somehow without you while you recover fully. Sorry if I sound too direct but I want only the best for you. I am currently working 24/7 caring for an injured mother and even so, I cannot neglect my own needs-somehow I also have to make sure I take care of my own health too-as we both know-some jobs are never done-my current mantra is it may not be perfect but I am doing my best!! My niece is flying in on Tuesday to replace me as caregiver and I just have to let go and trust that I did my best job care giving and she will too. Easier said than done I know. All the best with your upcoming surgery. Happy Easter.

I sold an item for $70.

We travelled up on Friday and arrived home late last night. We visited 25 relatives while we were there. My mom gave ds and twin girl each a large home made quilt. Mom still needs to finished and wash the quilt for twin boy. We also went to Value Village and spent $81 on clothes. I received a $5 coupon to use in May and a $2 coupon to use in the next 90 days. We live 5hrs away, so I made sure that my teenage brother will be able to use it for himself. We had better luck finding men’s stuff vs women’s.

This morning we did an Easter egg hunt in our back yard. We ate a light lunch and then headed out to a free Easter egg hunt at our local The Brick. The Brick has lots of Easter eggs for kids to find. Limit 10 eggs per child, until 3pm. Our kids came home with candy, small toys, stamps, and lolz stickers.

    Xpuctoc Bockpec! Happy Easter!

My first full day at home and I am loving every minute! Yes, even doing my exercises and my walking loop of six metres each way!

Kitty Vader is not totally used to me being home, but she is warming up. She went to snuggle at my husband's feet and rolled over, waiting for tummy rubs, and I hear him say in the next room - go see her, now she can do all the petting. I told him that she has had only him for over three months so she has gotten used to it be just him! Hey, at least she purred for me, that is something I really missed.

The guys looked after getting everything prepped for the Easter basket yesterday and did a great job. I had given my husband easy directions for baking a real ham, and he did well! The Easter breads, beets with horseradish, kubasa, and baking goodies were from two churches' Easter sales.
    Everything was wonderful!

I have to just get used to being here, and not jumping to do things quickly. I am keeping up with my exercises and walking. Gosh, though, I had to get like 16 prescriptions yesterday, crazy!

Hope you are all enjoying yourselves with family and extended family if you are able!

Thanks to so many of you for your continued encouragement and good wishes!

Lizzie thanks you. Although it is my hope to be working the next day I realize it may not happen. My biggest concern is I have a very low pain tolerance so I am trying to be hopeful and not worry. I realize I am lucky to have a job where if I need more time off I can take it and also that I do have the option to work from home if needed during my recovery. My plan is to tell everyone I am off for 3 days and if I am able to work great, if not well I will deal with that upon my return.

Good morning! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

Not fair that schools/banks/Gov offices are closed but the regular folk are slaving away . Oh well should be a pretty quiet day I think. I debated taking the day off but would rather take it when I have plans to enjoy the weather/nature.
I did my $2100.00 shop for work at SDM this morning so excited to get the $63 in PC pts for that lol. The little things that please me

I thought I was going to go grocery shopping yesterday then realized no I wasn't since everything was closed. So will go today on my lunch. Looking forward to getting fresh stuff. Fruit really. The veggie drawer is full and plans to use it up tomorrow night for the pasta sauce. Can I put broccoli in it? lol I have a sandwich bag full to use up.

Well off to clean up the budget and see where I stand.

Tonight I am making taco salad. I have everything on hand to make it. Will make the cooked beef into taco meat quickly while I chop up the lettuce/green onion/peppers etc.

@Natalka Repeat to yourself "There's no place like home! There's no place like home!" Ah, what the heck, you're saying that to yourself anyway. @SassyAshley Please, please take care of yourself.

Just another slow day here, which is exactly what I need. DH is off to boxing lessons...yes, actual boxing lessons with gloves and sexy shorts. If it is a midlife crisis, then I'm down with it. Did I mention the sexy shorts?

    bananas
    Watermelon

weather is 60 - 70% chance of rain all day. so.. that will get the clothes line nice and washed... and clean up the back yard a bit.
my goal for the day is to get the main floor , daycare area cleaned up.
i have my over night kids today. so that is always fun

i am trying to find one frugal thing i can do every day. yesterday... hung 2 loads laundry, and found a home for some wood so i didnt have to take to the dump.

not sure what today will bring. . but i am watching for oppertunities.

Morning! The rain has started here. Of course today is our garbage day. Always rain or snow or wind storm lol.

Taco salad for dinner last night was awesome! I save a bit of the beef and shredded cheese to make DS nachos tonight or tomorrow night.

    Have a wonderful day everyone!
