It seems like it might be helpful to have a thread where members can find general comments and discussion about Air Miles in one place, and where questions can be posted to ask for help from others who are more familiar with the program.

There is a separate thread for posts that are specifically about the 2019 Mega Miles promotion https://forum.smartcanucks.ca/430146...r-25-a-canada/ so to talk or ask about that, please post there.

I tentatively plan to start other separate threads for each future major Air Miles promo, so all I'll say here is that Shop the Block (STB) 2018 ran from early Nov. to late Dec. so the best guess atm for this year is around the same time frame. If Pack to School returns for a second time this year, it also seems likely to run around the same time as before, which was Aug. 9 to Sep. 9.

It was part of my thinking to have one thread for various Air Miles-related things like these in one place instead of in separate individual threads or in threads that are much broader than just Air Miles. Frankly, IDK why there isn't a general Air Miles thread already.

That said, having a thread dedicated to Mega Miles seemed to work out well, so my thinking is still to keep the big promos separate from the lesser and more general parts of the program

As per the early flyers posted, Metro will have one of their redemption offers (not the 50AM, but not horrible)...

Thursday to Sunday (Once per collector per day): Redeem 95AM, Get 25AM back

They have a few good sale offers you could stock up on...
- Organic Strawberries (1lb): $1.99 (Shows Driscolls, could use coupons if you store has Driscolls branded)
- Lactantia Milk (1.5-2L): $2.99 (Could use $1.00 coupon if you have plus up to $1.50 cashback CO51 if it renews, I know it says no coupons, but I've redeemed this offer about 12 or more times and no problems with coupons)
- Black Diamond Cheese (up to 450g): $3.99 (Half off their price)
- Maple Leaf/Schneiders Hot Dogs: $1.99 (Maple Leaf promo might still be up for buy 3, get $5)

Moving forward, I'll be disappointed but not surprised at all if we see the 25 BAM back version of this promo more often than the 50 BAM one.

I received an email that it's Blue Friday this week at Safeway/Sobey's Liquor stores--buy $100, get 150 airmiles. I checked the food flyer and nada for Blue Friday. Anyone heard otherwise?

Two things I like about the Metro online shopping website is that you can search and check the prices for the items that you have Airmiles coupons for and decide if it's worth it to buy the items.

Also, you can search their Airmiles offers (over 300 this week), sort the items low price to high and add them to your list for when you go shopping. It beats wandering around to find the "hundreds of Airmiles available in store". With the search option, I've increased my Metro Airmiles to about 30 each week with very little effort!

p.s My favourite purchase this week was canned Dole pineapple, priced @ 2/$3.00 with 5 airmiles wub 2. I think a pineapple upside cake might be in order!!

Sobeys Ontario has Buy 3 Coca Cola 6 packs of 710 ml at $3.49 each and get 50 AM which makes each package $1.82 when you factor in the bonus AMs.
