Was a busy couple of days for me....

    I had surgery yesterday..
    It was not anything major...
Had a tooth implant... actually I will not have the actual
    tooth for another 6 months
I have a follow up appointment on Friday to make sure
    the wound is healing properly.
After that I have to go back for a check up 3 - 4 months later.
The procedure was easier that I thought. It was just about pain free!
The one thing that did bother me was the sound of dentist drilling
into my bone to make a place for the implant...
This drill is not high pitched like a typical drill.
They gave me a pan killer before they began the procedure which I
    thought was a great idea.
I had to begin taking antibiotics right after the surgery and anti-inflammatories!
I am not in pain at all and there is no swelling what so ever.

We also had to buy a new TV which was done last night.
That was our 2nd plasma that stopped working.
It was supposed to be the best one 2 1/2 yrs ago.
Panasonic didn't bother to tell customers there was a problem with a switch.
It could be repaired for a mere $800.
    No thank you!
Plasma TVs are on their way out.

We bought an LED 3D TV and the extended warranty which I negotiated
a hundred or so off the price...

I do not watch much TV so ir will be my daughter using it most...

We shall see how it operates before too long...

Thank you for the notes, PMs and reps...
I am going through everything and will respond shortly...

My daughter brought clothes to me I bought her for Christmas!

    They are too big.....
So I have to return them today....
Fortunately I have 90 days for a full refund....
Hi all; just came in from shoveling, & boy, am I ever tired !!

Mmmme: sorry u had 2 go through that, but happy that ur not in much pain !! I've had the same thing done & am very happy with the implant.

Re: T.V. - I switched to LCD a couple of years ago & like it so much better than the plasma !!!

Thank you my friend. I am so glad to hear you are pleased with the results of your implant. I do not know anyone else personally that has had it done....

    As for the TV...
I have a 20 inch LCD in my office. No problems.
WE were considering perhaps going LCD, however my husband
like many guys wanted the latest technology which will not be the latest
    in 6 months... or so
A little over 2 years ago when we were looking for a new plasma
the LED TVs were between 7- 10 k.
Their prices have dropped incredibly since then.

btw - sad to hear Etta James passed away, she belted out some good songs over the years, At Last was one of her big ones, I've got a few of her CD's.

Three men were hiking through a forest,

when they came upon a large raging, violent river.

Needing to get to the other side, the first man prayed:

'God, please give me the strength to cross the river.

    Poof!!!

God gave him big arms and strong legs...

and he was able to swim across in about 2 hours,
    having almost drowned twice.

After witnessing that, the second man prayed:

'God, please give me strength and the tools to cross the river'.

    Poof!!!

God gave him a kayak and strong arms and strong legs...

and he was able to row across in about an hour
    after almost capsizing once.

Seeing what happened to the first two men, the third man prayed:

'God, please give me the strength, the tools and the intelligence
    to cross the river'.

    Poof!!!

HE WAS TURNED INTO A WOMAN!!!

She checked the map, hiked one hundred yards upstream...
... and walked across the bridge

Guys, if at first you don't succeed, do it the way your wife told you!

Go with LED, regardless of what size you are looking for. The picture quality is far superior, and they run a lot cooler and more energy efficient than Plasma or LCD.
I picked up an LG LED just over a year ago and I am quite happy with it, far better than my previous LG LCD (which I lost possession of). In fact, I liked the LED display so much that I replaced my computer monitors with LED!
