Attitude and research are everything. If you have a reference book on pharmaceutical drugs at your library, maybe you can see if there are alternate medicines? At least you can get an eyeful of wholesale costs paid by pharmacies.
There are also books that can help you find dietary solutions to minimize heartburn.
