Groceries- Slowly using up the freezer stuff. Enjoying the great prices on Fruit and veggies lately. Getting our fill.

PC Pts. I have been slacking. I need to get back to my old ways. PM everything at RCSS and No Frills and take advantage of PC PT offers. I have not shopped as often at either store because of the line-ups.

I just saved a bunch of offers on our 2 accounts. Should line up with purchases I plan to make.

Pc pts balances at the moment:

    370,000 Main Card
    5,700 2nd card

Still the plan is to not redeem and keep building up the pts.

What days and times do you shop? YMMV but in my area, and also according to several people who shop elsewhere, there are no lines to get in until at least 9:30 on weekdays; e.g. in my case, I'm in and out by 9AM, and haven't seen a line-up outside in months. I also haven't had to wait more than 3-4 minutes for a checkout lane in quite a while.

While I only tried it once about a month ago, there was no waiting at all when I arrived at RCSS about an hour before closing time. This was also on a weekday.

I know. My point is that if you haven't tried shopping at times that, at least elsewhere, mean either short line-ups or none at all, maybe doing so would work for you too.

Nice balance. I just cashed in $310 in points and it was amazing to walk out of there with only paying $9.67. Stocked up on a bunch of baby stuff (diapers, formula, and some good deals too).

Guess I haven't been on this post for months.

Payday today so updated the budget.

Payment made on 2021 Property Taxes
Money moved to account for House and Car insurance (June/July 2021)
    Paid gas and hydro bills.
Put money aside for DS's driving school end of December.

    PC Pts
    $182 #1
    $24 #2
Lowest amount of points I have had ever but I did use them for months for groceries this year. Stocked up on 3 club packs of toilet paper. Stocked us up on probably a years worth of roasts and chicken. Redeemed for 2 cologne fragrance sets for birthday gifts next year so they have been used for good.

Cleaning up the budget for year end!

Just called in to the town for the credit balance on my property tax account.

Pretty much done shopping for the year! Will pay the credit cards off and put a credit on the one to cover fruit/veggies/dairy/bread as needed for the last 11 days of December!!

Starting to set up the 2021 budget.

    $210 PC card #1
$40 something on PC Card #2
    $10 Airmiles
$12 CT $ on the card

My goal is to be more focused on budgets for regular monthly/quarterly expenses this coming year.
We used to be on a monthly plan for property taxes but now we pay them when they're due. I want to figure out the monthly amounts.
The water heater rental comes up in our house. The contract came along with the house when we bought it so we'll have to do some research on deals.
I need to devise a system for saving regularly for big ticket home items...i.e. furnace and roof. We're hoping that the Federal government will put a home reno stimulus incentive like they had years ago.
I definitely want to continue to use more coupons and rebates.

I pay my property taxes/house and car insurance yearly. So I just put the amount aside each month. I don't like people taking money out of my account so I have always done it this way

Ok I just cleaned up the budget for 2020!

All credit cards paid. Credit on 2 of them.

Freezer is stocked. Fridge pretty full. Lots of wine! ( I bought a few bottles a few times for gifts then received a bunch so I am good for many months since I rarely drink these days!)

Not planning on using my points for awhile so hopefully they will build slowly since I don't plan on spending much at the start of 2021.

    $10 Airmiles
    $50 Scene (for Kelsey's)
    $210 PC card #1
    $41 PC card #2
$14.19 CT money on the card (plus a large pile of the paper bills)
