Hi there! I'm looking for a place to take citizenship photos. Apparently they are NOT the same as passport photos (different dimensions, requirements, etc.).
My question is, does anyone who know a place that takes citizenship photos for the cheap?
I live in mississauga , and it would be fine if its little far also.

You can try Black's. SDM might be able to do it if you give them the sizes/requirements.

When my hubby immigrated here from the US and needed them for his PR card (Oct 2010) we went to Blacks since the dimensions are a little different and when we tried Walmart and SDM they had no idea what we were talking about with the different size and said "Oh it is just passport size". We kepts telling them, no, it is not and showed them the paper.
We ended up spending an extra 5 bucks in the end, but got the right size that was needed.http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/Dayanara - Earn free stuff just for searching the web!

I had mine done twice at walmart and they did them incorrectly both times. I went to a small postal / smoke shop on lakeshore and it was quite reasonable. I think $13. More than other places but at least got them done right.

Black's is the best for stuff like that. Most other places like SDM and WM will have no clue what you are talking about...especially WM. Some SDM's are good as they have a binder which shows the different sizes for passport, citizenship etc.
I would advise you to pay a few bucks more and get it done at the right place as lot of times these photos are rejected by the government etc if they are not properly done or not the right size..you waste lot of time and money if that's the case.

We had ours done at Loblaws. They have the requirements page and will make it right. I think we paid $9.99 for 2 photos.

Blacks does it but its about $40. I had them take pics for my UK passport. I took the paperwork in with me so they could read on the exact measurement rules.
