Well I am thinking about going into stores now -this fortinos online order was screwed up
1.charged for 3 flours robin hood -they overrode one for 4.79 but charged me 5.99 for the other 2 only ordered one
2.Tuscan ham deli meat -asked for ham too spicy for me so a waste of money
3. they charged me the substituted price for the premium eggs 3.49 when they should have charged me the lesser price 2.79 that they were out of .
4.should have been charged 2.36 for the corn as they substituted the 4 pack
all in all $19.66 I am out if you include the Tuscan ham which I wont eat.

I called p.c express but they are down one person so she will call me back .

At least the pizza was on sale that we like $7.49 each plus I got 6,300 points in personal items

Update: they are crediting back to my visa $19.66-plus she said she will cover the cost of the Tuscany ham in that total -she aplogized and was very nice as they are short 2 people today ,no worries I said at least they had everything on my order I asked for except the pancake mix (I guess a lot of families with kids are eating pancakes ) no worries thou.

Sassy - one thing i do is a menu list i post on the fridge... it gives me ideas. ... 30 or so ideas of meals.

so we are having salsbury steak with egg noodles and mixed veggies for supper.





ok. today. playroom is ready for sanding and painting. i am totally ready for it to be done.

oh, and i need to get to foodland at some point, i saw on thier flyer davids tea gcs are 20 % off. and since i am going to place a order in a month or so .. 20% is decent

Giseledta, I have been trying to meal plan but as are most thing I am learning with Mom it is more mental than anything, so to her a meal plan is telling her what to do which means she shuts it down. She will decided on Monday what I have plan for Wednesday she does not want and it just goes downhill from there. So, I have taken a new approach I try to come up with 9 to 12 meals we can make based on what we have on hand.

Last week's issue was Mom having a bad week, it is not that she wants to be back at work but she is struggling with every day being the same. Plus I think and she won't say anything as we already had an argument about it , she gets frustrated with me still working. It did not help that last week became an insane week and I ended up working late (like past 9 pm two nights and well after 5 pm two other nights) so that only added to her struggle. It made that she did not want to cook and I just didn't have the time so it became all about what can we with little to no effort.

This week I am planning to be better prepared and also hoping to not have as many late nights.

Tonight once we finish everything up I will work on what meals we can make.

I cant make a meal plan for hubby and I as he sometimes doesn't want a big meal or like what I like .So I tell him in the morning today we will have

Tonight is baked potatoes ,chicken breast and corn on cob -yummm too cold for me to bbq-cant be bothered .

It’s beautiful outside here 29C a little warm outside for me but I don’t mind my AC is already hooked into the window but I am wearing shorts and sleeveless tank top.

I had to phone amazon to get two refunds. They sent the wrong item so waiting for the refund to be added to to my gift card account they said up to 3hours.

I need a new phone I have taped the cord to my phone. To charge. Ugh.

lol and we had snow here in Southern Ontario today.
Sassy: even my children know if their father and I are working all day one of them better be asking if we have a plan for dinner and what they can do to help. Since your mom is home all day and you are working why is she not doing not only all the planning but all the prepping. It may mean that some days you end up eating something you were not so keen on but at least you won't be taking this on as your responsibility. Usually we have a loose plan on a board & they help with the planning. Weekends are more of a free for, all tonight the older son did a shrimp/noodle dish for us and his brother ate spaghetti and meatballs.
Today we drove to see my mom at a safe distance and with masks on but I wanted to deliver her flowers and I had picked up some groceries and Costco stuff for her. We left home early and the kids were still sleeping. My older son often brings me a tea in the afternoon while I work and he did not realize today was Saturday so he reports he brought the tea down only to discover I was not there.
DH and I made a batch of meatballs today as the younger son will live of spaghetti & meatballs if left to his own devices.

Lilo, I have to admit not this week that past but the week before it felt like we were getting into a good routine and I do not know, this past week just went to crap honestly.

I am hoping this week to come will be better, but I will also prepare if it isn't. So far this week looks like it will be better, I do not have as much on my calendar so hopefully I will get some time to just be me and get my work done but also work more "normal" hours.

But for the to happen I need to get my laptop fixed and considering we cannot figure out the issue well yeah this could be a challenge.

Okay, today was not a super busy day but we got a few things done. I do not know what it is lately but I feel like even the simplest tasks take forever.

So kitchen is clean, Mom did the hand dishes well I emptied and reloaded the dishwasher.

Also we organized 2 of the 3 freezer (still have one more to go). Nothing was thrown out just re arranged things and grained more space. The organization we achieved is amazing if I do say so myself. All of our meat has been placed in it's assigned bin, we have the following bins:
Pre Cooked
Pork
Chicken
Beef
Baking Goods

Then on the door we have Hot Dogs & Sausage and Cheese. As well we have a bottom basket where we have a Turkey, a Ham, A few Roast and and a big bag of fries from Costco.

Then we tried to reorganize the chest freezer, it is better but I am not 100% happy yet, I am about 85% happy. I thought we were out of freezer bins so I made it work without but then I found 2 bins that were brought up to the main floor. So now I might have to go back down and move a few things around and see if I can gain a little bit more room.

Not sure it is the whole being locked up at home but I might be losing my mind. I have some money I set aside around Christmas that I never decided what I wanted to do with. Today I have spent some time online and think I want to spend it on furniture for our dinning room. I am not sure how I feel about this as the future is uncertain. I mean I am still working but we have no idea when Mom will be going back to work and what will happen if she runs out of benefits before they fully re open (it looks like right now they are happy just running curb-side pick up as it is saving them a lot of money). But on the flip side I am so excited at the thought of maybe, just maybe after living here for I think 7 years finally having a functioning Dinning Room. I am just worried now, if I spend the money, I will regret it. I am so torn.

Another bonus would be is since we are setting up the work area in the Dinning Room, we would also regain the use of our living room instead of being a living room/dinning room/workspace and just stuff every where. It is just committing to spending the money that leaves me worried but the idea is so exciting. So, so torn.

Not sure if it is good or bad but I tried running my laptop off my phone instead of my Wifi and this fixed my computer issues but this is not a long term solution so now I am waiting to live chat and see if anything changed with my internet that would cause this problem. So frustrating.

Alright, off to try to relax but may not happen when dealing with wifi maybe issues. Have a great night everyone.

Sassy: I bought those Costco bag of fries. It’s huge. So much cheaper than store bought but man it takes a lot of space.

Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms.

I asked Mom what she wanted for dinner and she basically said she didn't care that it was Mother's Day. Normally I do not see my Step Mom for Mother's Day but my Dad has set up a Zoom session later today for my Step Mom. I know my Step Mom is/was struggling with this self isolation as she is an extreme extrovert and Dad is an introvert and all the kids have moved out so she kept trying to convince my sister to move home.

I talked to Roger's last night and they said I am having a technical issue, a technician will be coming out today to work outside our house. Really hoping this fixes my work issue, my conversation was helpful as knowing there is an issue but they could not tell me if the issue started when my work issues started. Let'e hope this fixes everything.

Alright off to see what I can get done today, I want to get a lot done but also lacking some ambition.

I just blanched green beans and froze some ,as hubby doesnt care for much veggies .Supper today will be bbq even thou its cold as I want to use the buns when they are fresh -hamburgers and French fries ,green beans or frozen broccoli .

I may make brownies this afternoon as I am craving chocolate ,only got one bar with my order yesterday and hubby and I shared the caramilk bar,lol

I went to Peavy Mart and bought my seeds. They were a bit picked over, but I found everything that I wanted.

I went to NF and bought a bunch of Activia yogurt, etc. I redeemed $20 in points.

I bought a lavender plant for $4. I haven’t grown it before, but I read good things about it. It can help to deter mosquitoes, it encourages pollinators, and smells wonderful when it flowers. The smell of lavender flowers reminds me of the trip Dh and I took to the Dominican Republic years ago. I think I’m going to plant it in the back yard, near the kids dirty play area...which is in the corner of one of the garden patches.
