Our eggs went from $2.29 on sale to $2.99. Still a good deal I think considering the nutrition in them and the fact they have been the same price for awhile. I only hope some of the increase trickles down to the farmer. I still think food prices are lower in Ontario than here in Alberta. I was reading something online today saying eggs were $9.99 a dozen in Australia-unless that was a misprint.

I just added up what I spent on groceries this month ,its $210 less than last month maybe because I only had 2 online grocery orders ,still about 60 up from before the pandemic ,so yes groceries are going up.
My joe fresh clothing came in ,really fast 5 days after I ordered it ,but the tank was way too big for me and Ashlyn tank was too small ,the sleep shorts I could have ordered a medium as they are larger than last years pair (so hard ordering online ,sometimes for me ,but I don't care to shop in stores with a mask on soon or wait in really long lineups ex.winners )
Of course I called joe fresh (as I ripped the bag and taped with duct tape, which is fine) and it takes 2 weeks to get to them (allow that)5-7 business days to return items and additional 3-5 to get back on my credit card -wow every thing is a tad slow ,such is life .
I kept the sleep shorts as I am only sleeping in them and who would want them tight anyway .
I grabbed another 4.99 for 6 boxes of Kleenex at shoppers ,so I am stocked up now on Kleenex, working on my stockpile 2 at a time .
Supper a nice half of a ham and mashed potatoes and peas .

Good Evening Everyone,
Pretty productive day although no cleaning ohter than the kitchen, so I will have to clean during the week.
I am really trying to get rid of some of the extras in our freezers. I made:
Cranberry Oatmeal Muffins - New Recipe was hoping this would be the end of bag in upstrairs freezer, nope it is never going to end LOL. These aren't bad, not my favourite, probably won't become one of my go but they are what they are.
Speadable Butter - Made, one in the cupboard, one in the fridge that should last us 2 to 3 weeks.
Baked Crossisants - We bought the frozen Costco Crossistants, they aren't bad, not as good as the ones in the bakery section but good, but I want them gone, they are taking WAY too much room in my freezer so I baked 8 off, then we ate 4 for Breakfast so I baked 2 more.
Triple Berry Cheesebake Crossisant Bake - This is why I baked off the Crossistants, it is like a a Bread Pudding but you use Crossistants and the custard mixtures has Cream Cheese in it. I have not tried it yet but it smells so good, I have high hopes.
Homemade Pizza Pockets - We made homemade Pizza Pockets, not sure how but the batch of dough make 12 Pizza Pockets, normally we only get 6 so I am happy and will not complan, more is always good. These are already in the freezer ready for a quick lunch.
I had also wanted to make Homemade Mac N Cheese for the freezer, did not happen maybe next weekend. As well as Homemade Queso again for the freezer, this will need to happen before we go grocery shopping as I have already grated all of the cheese and we will need the fridge space once we go shopping.
I also realized today I forgot to put a few things on my to do list for the weekend, we need to make more Taco Seasoning and there was something else. I should have started a to do list, hopefully I remember and can tackle it tomorrow.
So far just one meeting tomorrow so hopefully I can take a break around lunch and do a couple things around the house.
Have a great night everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

For us here in Ontario, the new norm for eggs seems to be about $2.69/dozen from what I've seen (We use to get $1.99/dozen at Shoppers during one/two day sales)... But this week I managed to pickup a flat of eggs (30pk) for $4.50 ($4.99 @ RCSS with a price match to Fortinos + 10% off), so $1.80/dozen equivalent... Not too bad, so I will be eating eggs like crazy for the next little while. I just hope my friend in Whitby is also able to price match some... She went on Thursday and they didn't have the same brand at her store..

DH had the spend 75.00 get 7500 PCO offer so I decided to travel to NF and take advantage of the produce offers and stock up on stuff that rarely goes on sale. I also stop at Fortinos because I heard they had the garden centre marked to 50% off. I am so glad I stopped because I had no luck finding decent kale this year and they had a kale bowl with at least 12 plants and 4 different types on clearance for 5.00. I will take what I need and then gift the rest to someone else. I like kale but not that much.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

Our solar panels have been producing an awesome amount of electricity this month. They beat our record from last July. May’s solar power production was 1,462.78kWh. Even when averaged out over an entire year, our 28 solar panels produce more electricity than our household uses. It really is nice to have a $29 electricity bill each month...which is the cost of being hooked up to the power grid and the taxes on it.
Although our forecast is for heat all week, I still plan on roasting a ham and making baked potatoes tomorrow. I’ll probably do some baking this week too. It helps to keep our family fed and reduce our food costs.Help me out with Swagbucks and we can both earn gift cards and PayPal money
