CANADIAN LAWN MOWER OWNERS: CLAIM MONEY IN LAWN MOWER HORSEPOWER LABELLING CLASS ACTIONS
Class actions initiated in Ontario and Québec have concluded with settlements totalling $7,535,000. Affected lawn mower purchasers can now make claims for payment.
Visit lawnmowersettlement.ca to make a claim for money. Claims must be submitted by May 22, 2019.
If you have no proof regarding your lawn mower purchase, you can file a simplified claim and be eligible for up to $15 per claimant. Simplified claims should only take a few minutes to file.
If you have documentary proof regarding your purchase and/or the horsepower rating of your lawn mower (receipt, manual, photo, etc.), you may be eligible for $15-$55 per lawn mower.
Retailers and distributors of lawn mowers are also eligible to claim. They will share a designated portion of the settlements on a pro-rated basis.
The class actions concern all Canadians who purchased certain major brand-name gas-powered lawn mowers labelled at 30 horsepower or less between January 1, 1994 and December 31, 2012 which were manufactured or labelled by the defendants. For full details, visit lawnmowersettlement.ca or call 1-866-479-7494.This thread is currently associated with: N/ALast edited by Notices; Mon, Jan 21st, 2019 at 05:45 PM.

Thanks for posting. I bought 4 lawnmowers in that time period. When we sold our last house, the new owners bought our lawn mowers. So we bought two more (walking and riding). The sad part is that last week, I was cleaning out old paperwork and tossed out all four manuals, each with their old faded sales slips attached .😭😭😭😭. Four would have been $60
I put in a simplified claim this morning for $15
thanks again notices for posting.

Will have to see if one of two mowers may qualify as it is a Honda product but I don't know how long ago it was purchased. The more recent mower from 2016 already has an axle issue but it not likely in the list of defendants.
Thanks for sharing this settlement news on the forum!2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

When I checked the Honda invoice, it was dated for 2015. So the mower is three years out of the qualification period.
It worth the try!2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

I received a e-transfer of $69.44 from this today. No invoices. Best of all, they sent it to me TWICE!

I also received the email, but I do not remember the password...
Is it a question we created by ourselves, or we need to choose from the question list?
Thanks
