I had an Sobeys offer for 50 AM when I buy anything. Really needed nothing but I love tide pods for when the kids do laundry and I was out so I bought a container of 45 pods for 8.97. Earned 1.00 on checkout 51 and 10 cents on Caddle. So in all not a bad deal. I also bought a pair of Stella and Dot earrings bnib today that I have wanted for ever but refused to pay 70.00 for. I got them for 25.00 so I was pretty happy with that.

@lilo0 03 congrats on the earrings! Love it when that happens.

I have bought labels for back to school from a local label company. I taught one of her sons a while back so I try to support them when I can. Mabels Labels is the brand. I got a coupon for 20% off too. I have supported another local mom and bought two more masks for each of my kids for back to school. They are $10 each. I will use the fabric labels on them. I have also made lanyards with a stretchy material for them.

Weather is supposed to be humid with thundershowers for Tues. We have rescheduled zoo and paddleboats to Friday.

    Checking in.
I worked some extra long hours for my daycare families last week. One child is gone this week and he is usually my early arrival, so it’s nice to have an extra early start this week.

I have a lot on my plate right now. Our province announced their back to school plan last week and it leaves a lot to be desired...Dh and I are getting our children to practice wearing their masks for longer periods of time. I’ll be substitute teaching again this fall since I still do not have a teaching contact. I’ll be wearing a mask all day at school...my choice...

I have a specialist appointment on Wednesday...the community that I’m travelling to is experiencing a spike in Covid cases. Dh and I have worked on a plan to try to keep me safe. Basically...I’ll only stop for bathroom breaks, I’ll pack all food and drinks, I will not do any shopping in that community, I’ll go to
my specialist appointment and return home. I have hand sanitizer in my vehicle and I’ll bring extra masks to wear any time that I exit my vehicle, etc.

Morning! Happy Monday! Nice hot day here today.

I should pop out to the garage for a bit soon and get posting stuff for sale. I still need to go empty my vehicle (empties, donation drop off etc)

    Have a great day everyone!

Had my niece and nephew for child care today. We had a full day. Outside all morning. Time outs. School work. Face painting. I am ready for an early bedtime tonight!

Middle seemed to enjoy dance camp. She worries a lot. This will help her transition back to school, I feel.

Younger son has the in class portion of driving school this week. It’s a good test to see how wearing a mask for three hours feels. He said it was OK. The office sits over a Starbucks so I bought him a Frappuccino before class and he used the break to walk to a local pizza place. Thankfully the older son drives and he will do the pick up as work for both DH and I is so busy. My goal for the week is to stop working in the evening so today I quit at 5 pm. Dinner will be burgers and fries.

I seem to recall some members live close to Collingwood in this forum. There are mixed fruit boxes on Flashfood for $5 if you’re into that sort of thing (my parents live near there so I take a peek now & then to see what’s up at local stores).

Been mixed bag of weather here in the north. Hot humid, then cool, then humid and stormy, etc. Today was lovely overall though so got stuff done in the garden and had the dehydrator going as well.

    Stay safe everyone!

    Good Morning,
I am not sure what is up, I have been sleeping and sleeping well but WOW am I so tired these past couple of days. I thought yesterday it was just because it was Monday but today it not much better. Hoping whatever this is resolves itself quickly.

I see Friday being my last day in the branch slipping away. I have lost track of which plan we are on and so far none seem to be coming together for us. I am really struggling to keep up with everything doing both jobs right now. I am pretty sure I did not even get half of my to do list done yesterday, the morning was slow but I had a trainee with me and then the afternoon was insane and became a just keep your head above water type of day.

Nothing got done at home last night as I keep falling asleep on the couch and I think tonight will be the same, but it cannot be as now I am behind at work and think tonight will be one of those working till 9 or 10 pm kind of nights. Oh how i was hoping to avoid those this week, but it is what it is, hopefully a new plan starts to come together shortly.

Alright back to it. Have a great day everyone.

Morning! Rainy overcast start to the day. No laundry for me.

I almost missed recycling! I could hear the truck on my street and ran to the garage in my housecoat and put it out lol. Some weeks they come in the morning others at the end of the day.

Well have some work to do so I better get at it.

    Have a nice day everyone!

Currently on hold with Build-A-Bear for finding my daughter's bday gift from Gramma (oh boy is Gramma mad). Baby Yoda came in 3 weeks so I thought we were good with 4 weeks for it to ship. It has been 6 weeks. I realized I didn't get a shipping email, like I did with Baby Yoda, but I was busy with other birthday preparations and didn't notice. I am the 9th caller in line. Woo woo for me.

@coupon girl reminds me a lot of my mom. She went to dollar store and bought a couple in lieu gifts, but now we all want to know what is up.

Got Tim's Card in the mail from Visa Points. They were having a Canada Sale so I got $40 for 20% off the usual points. More Iced Capps for me. One day I will quit.

I am having a veg out and ignore the world day. I finished Toni Morrison's book "Beloved." I didn't really enjoy it, but I think that might be the point (it is a historial-fiction with dabs of horror about the impact of Slavery). It was a challenging read. Glad I read, but also glad it is done. It was my first book by her. If any of you have read any of her works I would love to hear your thoughts...most people glow about her books so I am wondering if I chose the wrong one to start with. My thoughts on it will certainly linger, but it is not a pleasure read.

afternoon -having the 2 grandkids today ,wow they clash sometimes .My son dropped ashlyn off and said "you are older get along " with sebastian but hey that does not always work.Sebastian being an only child sometimes finds it hard to share ,even thou he went thru 3 years of daycare .

Granger -i am always on the lookout for toys for my grandkids -i managed to get 3 ninja turtles at the end of july for his birthday 4.00 each .I am missing the one but hey he wont notice .

My girlfriend is coming her with her 2 grandkids this afternoon at 2.30 as her daughter has a meeting, little girl is 6 so she can play with ashlyn and the little boy is 2 and a half so he can play with sebastian .I have a few more tops for her little boy from my daughter always nice to pass a few things on to someone else .

The grandkids had a treat of M cDonalds for lunch ,but i talked to the manager and complained nicely about the order we put in sat night at 7.00 as my daughter was hungry and sebastian was when we left by son's.They were missing a double burger and we waited 30 minutes ,plus they mixed up the top and bottom buns - the girl said we will mail you a coupon.

The manager gave me 2 single cheeseburgers and a small fry and my hubby's coffee for free ,really nice service i said to her .No worries .
