$20 sale at 630 tonight! A cabinet I found on side of road a year ago. Time for it to go!
Good afternoon. I had a busy morning and went to several stores. I guess I should've mentioned to DH as he seemed surprised I was gone so long. I figure I might was well get out before things get locked down.
Exchanged DH's jeans for smaller size @ Marks.
Popped into Giant Tiger. Bot some leggings and 2 long sweaters for myself. Some happy pants for DH. I splurged and bought a decorative candle holder on clearance.
I picked up a few groceries and got a raincheck for Beneful dog food.
Stopped at Frescho for a few items that were a good deal with CO51 offers
Stopped at Metro on the way home and bot 2 big packs of lean ground beef. I'm going to make meatballs, meatloaf muffins and lasagna tomorrow. I found 2 large packs of Shredded mozzarella on clearance for 50% off so the lasagna should cost me a bit less. I also bought parmesean cheese on clearance at Shoppers last week.
I really was shocked at how expensive it's getting to make lasagna these days. I really had to hunt to find reasonably priced lasagna noodles (they used to be the same price as other pasta), then there's the sauce, ground beef, cheeses. I hope it tastes as good as I'm hoping it will. :)
I am feeling better 4 days i felt crappy,so hung one load out and put the towels in to dry.
Our blue ray remote for netflicks is not working so purchased one on amazon $22 bucks .I am happy not watching too much t.v anyway .I working on a winter wonderland puzzle and its super hard 1,000 pieces .
Need to do one more return to the gap ,sleep shorts dont fit me.Sometimes its so hard shopping online for me ,but hey it is what it is ,as i dont wish to go all tru random stores in the mall now .

I really dislike going into a new work week after not being able to get a good night sleep. Last night I could not fall asleep or stay or asleep so I started my day very tired but I still forced myself to be up early. I was at work at 6:20 this morning so I could try to get a jump on the day and I did well but oh did I hit that 2 o'clock wall hard.
I was hopeful once I got home and had something to eat I would perk up a little bit but nope, no such luck so it is going to be a simple night:
Dishwasher is unloaded
Will Reload the Dishwasher
Wash 2 pants that do not fit in the Dishwasher
That is it, my night is done.
Hoping to be in bed early and hopefully get a good night sleep tonight. Pretty boring tonight but I am good with it.

RCSS is selling tiny head or romaine for $3.97.
I bought a ready made Greek salad for $12. Cant beat that price this time of year and they load it with olives. Tomatoes. Cucumbers. Red onion and feta. And a bunch pouches of the Greek dressing. I had a big salad for dinner and we will eat it tomorrow too. Will use some of the lettuce for chicken ceaser wraps in DS'S lunch tomorrow.
I think I developped an addiction to dollorama .Next time I go there I want a antiderapant thing for putting the dishes on the counter we dont have one and I need one.

Me: I find most of my kitchen things and tools at dollorama much cheaper than canadian tire...but now since I am baking and discover a new hobby I spended a bit more than I taught at dollorama
Still debatting is I should purchase a 3 pack of beef fondue at maxi and cie because they are 9,99$ for 3 packs and I have a little space in the freezer...This is the price of 1 pack when not in sale so....I think I will
Plenty of cheese and fondue sauce so why not stock up a little bit for fall and winter...

Was not aware dollorama have a website and they are selling online too ..good to know for checking the price before I go to the store and have an idea what I will spend,.
Sold two games last week, DS1 did a double check to make sure all the parts were there and in another game we were missing a piece. I knew I had found it ages ago and put it somewhere safe:lol:, thankfully I found it today so will post the game in the morning. I joined two online book clubs with local women and was able to find both books in our library app. Buying books does not help me minimize so I was happy to find them. I also found several books that I have wanted to read in my little free library. They come in handy when there is nothing of interest on the app and it means I can avoid the library.
cath-i never went to dollarama a lot before the pandemic ,but one opened just 10 minutes away .I did spent $70 in june when i first went back into a dollarama.I find a lot of kitchen items cheaper than the grocery stores and i find some kids toys are awesome prices for birthdays or xmas (i have a few kids toys on hand already to put in with my grandkids xmas items ,
I started buying a few grocery items and they are pretty fresh also .I ususally spend between 12 and 25 dollars each time i go .

Answer to your Dollarama shopping question: about 2/3 of time, I only go to the store for specific needs like tall kitchen garbage bags or those $1 bottles of pop or something cheap and specific (as I only have a set amount of cash at those times for those purchases). The other 1/3 of times, I go in to buy 1 or 2 items, then walk down 2 or 3 aisles and see something to add (lightweight or small) and another and oh look, there are paper napkins or gift bags I want to add to what's at home. Last year's buys of doilies-have plenty as they weren't used when I expected Mom would need them-were add-ons when I found more than one size or design. Yes, my budget goes $20 over budget usually at those times!
Sunday's sunny but cool and windy noontime was when our family did a modest Thanksgiving meal. Filling from festive turkey pie was amazing to smell and to eat but the bottom pie crust did not bake enough, even after a few extra minutes of oven time.
Did a long afternoon walk-found 2 Monopoly game stickers and about $1 worth of cans/glass bottle too.
Monday-we did not have anything special but I had a strong cake craving that was not appeased by eating Honeycrisp apples (and there was no cake in the house and the idea of making one was not agreeable to me) For some reason, friends of Bro went out our way and after some stops, needed a restroom as they could not find a place that was open (they have two little ones). So while Mom said no to guests entering in the house, the friends used the basement bathroom (as Bro let them in). They have Internet and should be aware of COVID concerns and know Mom is a senior. Bro got a major lecture; his friends are from Peel Region and should have known better. Guess who was asked by Mom to ensure surfaces got wiped down? Me. Bro said he did a cleanup but since he misses cleaning the mirror after a flossing session, he's not reliable.
Yesterday, Mom made a chiffon cake and I made tea for an 8pm dessert session-it was great, as I had come in from my third walk of the day (first two walks were to look for Monopoly stickers-found 11 in total as well as a student's ID card, turned in via a different student (so happy for that circumstance)) to get a free cheeseburger (meant for me, but I gave it away to someone who might have needed it more outside the store). I had cut some of the yard (missed last week) to get leaves under control (aka mulched) and put the yard waste bags at the curb. There is likely at least two more mowing sessions left in this year plus more raking. I am tiring faster now and must face the elephant in the room-consider making plans for care or burial if my health is going to take me to the grave (I figure it'll happen at year end or early next year). It helps that a book I'm reading has pointed out some things I would need to have on paper if I have specific palliative or end of care needs. The problem is MacGyvering the cost of death when about the only money to pay for it is the $2500 death benefit from CPP and cremation is not planned (though some local businesses are offering cremation packages priced exactly $5 less than that CPP death benefit-talk about segment marketing to a need). Despite stating recently to Mom and Bro that my health is getting worse, I cannot yet talk to Mom about burial costs (I'd need a plot too in a specific cemetery if possible) because when I say I could die, she always goes to a religious lecture and that is a turn-off for me. I am not yet 55 so the free wills month promotion on in October ( for 55+-there was a list of Hamilton lawyers who are involved for 2020's campaign published in the Hamilton Spectator last week) does not apply to me; even who to consider to be an estate trustee (someone non-family to get my matters sorted) is an issue. Try to avoid this scenario if you can plan your affairs (and pay for them) ahead of time.
Regarding the discussion about stores that price-match-when my friend gave me last week's papers, I saw that the Saturday paper had an overwrap-the first part was about No Frills maintaining its Price Match policy while the second part was the full page back cover about Loblaws/RCSS Ad Match policy. I highly doubt they allow price matches to other stores doing multiple item buys for one price as I have noticed a few stores offering member pricing that involves buying two or more items to get the member price. You may recall that Walmart's price match policy excluded matching multiple item pricing deals at competitor stores or deals that involved loyalty card memberships.
I had entered three Twitter contests and did not win one of them; the other two did not have results posted yesterday morning so I will look for posts today.

Lilo one of the "groups" I am in at work sometimes gets book assignments and I always get the book on kindle as yes, we have so many books I need to find new homes for. They are just taking up space
As for Dollarama I do not shop there that often, most of the items I used to buy at Dollarama are actually cheaper at Costco (ie Foil Pans 3 for $1 at Dollarama, 100 for $6.99 at Costco, also if you work out Plastic Wrap and Foil they are also cheaper to buy at Costco especially since we use a lot in our freezer and batch cooking). We do one in once in awhile for kitchen items but it rare. I used to shop there a lot more as a teenager but habits have changed.
