Airmiles - Shop the Block - November 19 - December 28, 2020

Shop 3 of the offers for 300 bonus miles; 5 for 800 bonus miles; or 7+ for 1200 bonus miles between November 19 - December 28.

I was sent the BMO Mastercard offer to opt in early. It is Get 100 bonus miles when you spend $350 or Get 250 bonus miles when you spend $700 miles at participating partners.

I've got some planned purchases for Staples and Children's Place that I'm holding off on until I see what these offers are.

yes, @plc I also received the opt-in message about the BMO offer. I usually just buy Sobeys GC's in whatever amount I am aiming to spend ( $350.00 or $700.00 ) to earn the AM. I use the GC's up at both Sobey's and FreshCo, but I'll likely wait until later in December to decide how many GC's I want to invest in.

Thank you @pic my DH received the OPT in offer from BMO . If I am to do this promo I will be buying gift cards at Metro since it’s closer to me. Will wait and see what the other offers are and if it’s doable

I tend to doubt that I will participate in STB this year. The basic reason is that with new records for COVID cases being set almost every day, going into stores less often is a far greater priority than collecting Air Miles that would be useful but that I won't miss if I don't get them.

I agree with your strategy @Arjon , which is why I have not participated in this weeks flyer at Metro. ( Every day offer of redeem 95 AM get 25 AM ) Normally I'd be all over that, going in each day for a free $10.00 item!
Going in once to buy the GC's from Sobeys ( one STB offer done ), then fuel ( which is fairly safe pumping and leaving ) and a once per week top up grocery shopping at either Sobey's or Metro.
Not sure we can do 5 offers though, nothing else seems worth it to us.

I cant believe how close christmas is, my credit card is maxedimbroke but I'm still curious and will likely participate as I'll need gas and groceries and a few gifts for under the tree

In Alberta the offers are too rich to do 7 offers for me but I think I can easily get 3 and might be able to get 5. I’m really disappointed with the Staples offer as it is for specific Samsung products and not total purchase amount.

The cost is very high for the AM rewards. I may not be able to do it as well. boo

So far I've opted into both of the BOM MC and the Amex offers, we'll see how much of a workout these cards will get during our grocery trips and for Christmas gift purchases. We have till Dec 28th so that helps to spread it out some.

I am considering using the coupon for the Metro Gift basket ( min. $20.00 spend ) , but I'll have to see what they look like first.
Shell fill ups are a no brainer, we always need fuel.
At Sobeys I managed to do the $100.00, get 5 x the miles.

That would be the only five offers I can justify. The rest bug me ( Rona, Lowes, Staples, Global Pets, all the vehicle maintenance or rental related ones ) Bah Humbug!!

I am going for the 5. I did $100 Amazon through Air Miles portal, $100 Sobeys, the Shell fill up, Global Pet foods...I'll probably make Metro gift basket the 5th, but I'm going to wait until right after Xmas when they are reduced.

We ended up doing 3. The Global pet food and the Shell as well as the Amazon one
