I would like to contact someone about an unpleasant experience at a local Valu Foods, nothing major, but Google searches only show info about the individual stores instead of a "head office" of sorts with contact info. It's a small enough town here in NS, so I don't dare complain to anyone there because the owner would remember me!
I thought I had heard Valu Mart was part of the Loblaw Banner stores but with that being said I personally have never shopped at one (do not have one in my area) so I may be wrong.
According to wikipedia, it's run by the co-op atlantic. But it appears that Sobey's bought them out in 2015.

Sobeys do own them, but TBH, if you live in the Valley, you know what complaining will be like.

There are names attached to the About page. I see the Irving name-that is a big company (Shipping, Oil and more) in the Maritimes!
I don't see the Valu Foods brand on the Sobey's corporate page (see list at bottom):https://www.sobeys.com/en/promotions/timeline/
That is a specific location (Centerville, NB). They just managed to have snatched up the URL. That location happens to have an Irving gas bar attached to their store is all. Irving is not affiliated with ValuFoods in the least. (Irving separated themselves from the convenience/grocery business many years ago and sold that operation to Couche-Tard who re-branded the Irving stores as either a Couche-Tard or Circle-K)Quote:

Either way, the parent company doesn't have much say in how the independent store owner operates their business. That said, I'm not really sure the OP is going to get very far by contacting Sobey's either.
