Still have to finish up my return. Will be doing that this Saturday since I have the night off from work. Should be getting a hefty return (Due to Fed. Tuition credits reducing my taxes to almost $0), then that will all be going into RRSP's most likely.

Accountant submitted our returns yesterday and both have already been assessed.
For the first time since we retired years ago we are getting refunds. Two basic reasons. We lowered our RRIF payments last year so we dropped down the income list and the carbon Tax credit.
In the end the carbon tax credit gave us a small refund on our returns.
Very happy and grateful for a good accountant who does the good work.
Also now with the lower income we can apply for a hydro rebate monthly for two years. It will cut our hydro bill in half monthly for the next two years. Another win!!

Netfiled our returns on Apr 17 and will get refunds and NOA on Apr 26.
Had to snail mail our teen's (first tax return) as it kept getting an error message when we tried to netfile.

Rec'd my refund last week but they screwed up DH's to the tune of $500 in their favor of course. Now he has to do a bunch of paperwork and send it in and wait.

Yes First tax return always has to be done by pen & paper & has to be mailed in the old fashioned way.
From next year he can NETFILE, as now they have a record of his return.
Lot of immigrants to Canada and young people in Canada go through that each year as it's their first ever return!
