Morning! Rainy dark day here today.

Finished my urgent work items. Made DS and I French toast for breakfast. Have the sink ready to wash the dishes.
Once DS is done eating I am giving him his chores. I will continue on laundry today.

Off to pay my credit card from my gas fill up and small Costco shop.

Bay Days must be coming up on Friday. HBC Rewards members get preview access at 6pm the night before. Reminder that HBC Mastercard is being replaced by a new one by Neo in early May-you have to apply for it to get it.

With college and university winter semester ending soon, neighbourhoods likely will have curbside furniture finds set outside of student rentals. Closest thing to thrifting if you have vehicle handy and keeps eyes open for finds. Some municipalities might have special collection dates for those neighbourhoods, as usually property owners have to call in for bulk pickup or arrange their own dump run or disposal service.

Delighted that Mom finally replaced the pad cover (she managed to get the first item exchanged last week) on the ironing board. I have tossed out the old one, as tomorrow is our collection day.

Need to give my washed runners another night to dry so I can wear them tomorrow.

    Good Morning Everyone,
I can feel myself becoming really stressed. Normally I do not train staff on Mondays or Fridays those are my days to do all the things I need to do outside of training. Last week and this week I am training on both days with no days off so I am feeling the pressure. I should have worked this past weekend but I just need me time, I need to not be on my laptop, my mental health needed the weekend off. So now I have to push through this week, but deep breathes, I have this.

On the weekend Mom made BBQ Sauce because we did not buy any on our last shopping trip, I do not like the brand my Costco carries and I forgot to look when I went to RCSS. Mom found a Sweet Baby Rays Copycat as that is our favourite brand. It is pretty good only thing was, it seemed a bit spicy well it was cooking so we added more sweetener but now the next day the spice is gone and it is a tad sweet bit still good.

Last night we had Homemade Chicken Fingers with Homemade BBQ Dipping Sauce, on the side we had Oven Fries and a Ceasar Salad. That was not my initial plan but a major headache was setting in and honestly I did not want to cook I just wanted to go to bed. But I am happy, a year ago before Covid we would have ordered take-out so no take-out is a win in my books.

For tonight I am trying to decide between:
Lime Chicken with a Corn Salad
    Lemon Chicken
Only thing I am not sure of is the Lemon Chicken needs to go in the Slow Cooker so it depends if I have time during my lunch to get it in the Slow Cooker.

Hoping to get back on track today, I got a few small things done around the house before my headache started but not as much as planned so hopefully today I can tackle a few of those other things today.

    Have a great day everyone

Had a $15 cash sale today! I haven't posted stuff for sale as I have been busy with work and other house work. But had 4 pictures in DS's closet that I posted for sale and sold 3 right away. I like cash sales the best

I am cooking a pot of rice right now. I took out a package of chicken chunks from the freezer that need to be cooked up and eaten. Making green beans and corn as a side. Will make up DS a heat and eat up container that is ready in the fridge for him. He still has homemade mac and cheese in the fridge that his Grandma made for him.

What a crappy damp day. I'm going to have some chicken and rice for lunch once it is ready and then go for a walk. I need some fresh air!

Today was a different day. Somewhat better than yesterday, but still very different and exceedingly busy. Today was ds’ first day with a live meet with his teacher. The teacher had a lot of technical and instructional problems. Ds was annoyed/frustrated/confused by the end of the 1hr lesson. I spent time again this evening organizing everything for our kids for tomorrow. The teachers’ plans continued to evolve throughout the last two days, so it’s been difficult. I’m hoping that things settle down.

I know someone who is in the ICU on a ventilator due to Covid. The news really struck Dh and I. We don’t want to let our own children return to their physical classrooms. It was disconcerting to hear the students in ds’ class talk about all the places they traveled to see over the Easter break. Our school division currently plans on retuning for in person learning in April 26. We don’t feel safe. We don’t know what the policy is at this point....

Saturday if was +19. Sunday was light rain all day, which turned to snow. It’s snowed off and on for more than 2 days. Last nights’ weather resulted in highway closures in our area. I certainly got my exercise shovelling the driveway. Our kids enjoyed playing in the snow and getting wet.
