Lots of progress in the garage.
$25 in sales picked up so far. Other requests for pick up.
Metal dropped off to pick up box.
Picked up buns to make burgers ( cheaper then the teen burger I wanted to pick up lol) making a late lunch now.
Free stuff at curb and picked up nice glass pyrex measuring cup and box of plastic planting pots ( new over 100!!)

I’m happy that several of my relatives have received their first dose of the vaccine. Those who book their vaccine in my community are currently receiving Moderna. I’ve checked with my specialist, but they will not approve me for an early vaccine, so I continue to wait my turn.

I’m currently struggling with some new medical challenges. More tests are being run, awaiting results from other tests, then a variety of decisions will need to be made. I did a lot of crying one day this week. The situation makes me anxious and waiting for information is difficult.

I’ll run some necessary errands tomorrow morning, as soon as those stores open. I’m continuing to double mask, since I do not have 3 layer cloth masks. Social distance, wash my hands too many times, and be anti-social.

I received an email from our local school division. Due to limited staff availability at the elementary school that our kids attend, they will remain at Level 4 Remote Learning until at least May 3rd. So, it sounds like some staff members have had covid exposures. Our community currently has 3 active Covid cases per 1,000 people. Like many people, I do not feel safe.

Our community has hit the news for wrong reasons...recently due to a large electronic billboard that has 4 different anti-COVID, anti-child mask, etc. messages displayed on it. An organization has also payed for and produced a type of newspaper full of garbage messages.

Yikes, my shot has knocked me on my bum. I had a bit of a headache when I woke up and now it’s the aches and chills. But I knew it could happen and I also know by morning I will be fine. I did all the laundry yesterday in anticipation of this so have been laying on the couch napping and hydrating since 5. Really not a bad way to spend the evening.

    Good Evening Everyone,
Got some of the stuff done, not all of the stuff but some of the stuff and I am happy with that.

I have come to learn that my kitchen is not ideal for filming cooking videos but I am not going to let that stop me. I might have to get creative but I will find a way to make it work. I have given myself a deadline of May 1st to figure out how to make this work and start filming videos I can post. I know me a deadline is needed or I will keep putting it off.

Dinner tonight was a Meatloaf from the freezer with a Mashed Potato Bake to use up some leftover Mashed Potatoes, Grated Cheddar & Bacon Bits from the fridge (Love clearing out all those containers from the fridge), and I made Parmesan Brussel Sprouts in the Air Fryer. Brussel Sprouts were a hit but a little more cooked than planned. As well when Wal-Mart says Bay Brussel Sprouts they were not joking some of these were the size of a pea. We used about half of the bag for dinner so now bad, it is about $1/meal for the veggie.

Still need to come up with a meal plan, I know this week is going to be busy so I think this calls for some Slow Cooker meals so I do not have to think about Dinner. Will see what I can come up with. Will also need to grab some more groceries this week, I am torn both No Frills and Wal-Mart have things on sale we need, might have to do another Wal-Mart grocery pickup. I really miss the way I shopped before Covid but I just keep telling myself it is a challenge and time to get creative.

    Have a great night everyone

@SassyAshley it was crazy. Hit me like a tonne of bricks and 5 hours later it’s like nothing happened. So that’s good. @Angela273 here is our plan. Sunday burgers and home made fries, Monday oven fajitas. Tuesday dragon noodles with shrimp, Wednesday lasagna and Caesar salad, Thursday shake n bake chicken with baked potatoes and Friday is weather dependent maybe steak on the BBQ or if it’s raining a peameal roast with pancakes and eggs.

$80 in sales today!!! And pick ups arranged for tomorrow. Will continue posting stuff for sale as soon as I get rolling in the morning.
Had a nice fire and drinks this afternoon/evening. Will wash the bed sheets and have a shower 1st thing in the morning. Hate the smell of fire but I don't want to wash my hair now and go to bed with wet hair.

Final week of April. Definitely has been a strange and warmer than normal spring.

Nothing on the docket today except laundry.

Will bring in herbs and small tomato plants late in the day as it will get cold again overnight. That should be the last time. They are all looking good and will prep pots tomorrow and Tuesday morning and plant Tuesday afternoon.

    Enjoy the day all!!

Dropping in to say, "Hi!" and get inspired by all you folk.
I have been diagnosed as prediabetic and have been ignoring getting on the job of weight-loss. This week I joined Noom, so now I have to be very careful about what goes into my mouth.
I have to follow your leads and pre-plan to make it effective.

It helps to hear what's on sale and how to use points, etc.

I have had both of my shots (Pfizer) because of where I live. Our whole building is seniors so the Health Dept. sent a team here.

But, everyone is so "down " because of the current circumstances.

Time to get ready for Zoom church which I look forward to- seeing old friends with no masks!

    Have a great week!

@lilo0003 , my step-mom had the same thing, kind of. She got her shot on a Saturday, on Sunday felt like she has been hit by a truck (her words) but then felt fine on Monday

@avoncallingu my step-mom did or may still be using Noom (Covid, we do not see each other so there are a lot of these little conversations we miss having) and she loved it. She said she liked that it made her think more than other programs that she had done in the past and it wasn't all about "you can't" "don't" "no" it was more about making choices.

    Good Morning all,
I slept in until 8am this morning, made me feel like I missed half my morning LOL.

I decided to throw some clothes on and do our grocery shopping. My car is going in for service and I am going to be driving bros car and Mom's car is still in waiting for the part from the recall so I figured today was my best day to just got and get it done.

I got WAY more than I had planned but a good chunk of that was moving my Pantry from Winter to Summer, does anyone else have a different Pantry for Summer vs Winter? It was things like getting vinegars, mustards and other things to make dips and dressings that we do not eat that often in the winter.

I really do feel like prices are going up, even if you watch the sales, some things just are not as cheap on sale. Also PRODUCE, I need produce and the sale just are not there. One my store's stock was not at it's prime but two the prices WOW. With that being said I will be doing another Wal-Mart Grocery pickup this week. I was looking at Wal-Mart last night so I knew there prices and on a number of items they were just cheaper than No Frills.

I did also pick up some treats, since we are not going out or having take-out, I just needed a few little treats. Like others have said, it is so hard to find anything that feels normal right now so I will not complain about a few little treats here and there.

Still need to make a meal plan for this week, just was not feeling it last night. Plus now I need to put away groceries and place a pick-up order.

    Have a great day everyone.
