Thread: Scalloped Potatoes and Ham

has some fat , ok alot , but its awesome!
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
3 cups milk
3 cups ham, cooked (beef or chicken is fine)
1 small onion, chopped fine
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded (i use about 400 grams )
5 cups potatoes, sliced
1 Melt butter in large sauce pan over low heat; blend in flour, salt, and pepper.
2 Cook, stirring constantly, for about 1 minute. Remove from heat gradually stir in milk.
3 Return to heat; cook until thickened and bubbly.
4 Fold in ham, onion,and cheese. Pour over potatoes in a large bowl.
5 Stir gently then move into a buttered 13X9-inch baking dish; cover with foil.
6 Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
7 Uncover and continue to bake for 1 hour.
8 Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.This thread is currently associated with: N/A$700 US and counting....

mmm love scalloped potatoes! i made a tex mex version last weekend, was very yummy

Okay. I am going to buy the ingredients for this tomorrow. Ergo, you rock. My tummy is always full of good food with all these recipies!
Remember that even though pets are here for such a short time they teach us things we would never be able to learn in many lifetimes on our own.
