If you have not checked on your CRA My Account lately (to check direct deposit amounts/dates), chances are you might discover that you require to input a telephone number for a passcode to access your account. That was my situation today. While I know my credit amounts, I probably won't get them until I can provide replacement bank info for the CRA. I could not see the existing bank info but at least I was wise enough to stop payments when I was last in the account at the end of April. Be aware, that if you have a long recording on your answering device/service, you might not get either of the two statements of the passcode. I missed most of the first statement but got the code when it was repeated (I only have the phone number stated in the message).

CRA allows 3 options for updating bank info if you have changed banks or moved.

Ikea has a Now or Never sale ending on June 30. There are $1.99 packs of napkins, and other fun finds (like an artificial lavender plant).
Beautiful pink metal floral napkin holder (the white version is not on sale but it's $5.99) is on sale for $2.99.

Good morning! Recycling truck has come and gone. I missed putting it out 2 weeks ago ( I was away and forgot to ask DS to do it) so we had 4 weeks worth. So happy to have that out of the garage and gone!
Raining now. I have no where I have to be so may as well enjoy the rain from the window The grass is nice and green now!

My oldest had his wisdom teeth out yesterday. Surprisingly he is doing well. We will see tomorrow/Thursday as that is when the swelling usually hits. I have pancake mix ready to make him pancakes when he is hungry. Will make extra for the fridge for him for tomorrow.
Will make mashed potatoes for him this afternoon.

I took out BLSL chicken breasts from the freezer to cook up today. Will make a pot of rice and some green beans. Have romaine to make salad. Will take a look at the freezer and see what will be cooked up for tomorrow and take it out tonight.

    Have a great day everyone!

Good day my friends! Frugalbigmama would you please send your rain this way please! I will also say a prayer for DS recovering from his wisdom teeth.
I'm starting to think there's something wrong with me, because even with the a/c on I just lack the initiative to get anything done apart from meals. I'm staying hydrated but still am off-kilter. I did make the attempt to get out for a walk this morning and it was good.
Not much shopping lately as the sales just aren't there and I'm not going to heat up the place to make dinner.Thankfully I still have my leftovers!
I'm inspired by the creativity and ingenuity of people on this thread so hats off to you all!
Take your blessings where you can find them! Have a great day all!

Mr. Wind is playing around in the humidity, helping to get the towels and clothing and footwear dry. I did some yanking of plants and my runners were dirty, so I did my scrub and spin of footwear and work gloves and the lot is out with Ms. Sunshine. There was so much moisture before 7am, it was like there had been rain? No fog but actual water on the branches and the grass. By 9am, it had been vapour that left--so humid.

Those salted snack crackers Mom purchased last week go so well with pop&Perrier. I am keeping my electrolytes playing tag with each other. But I still have to nap as the yardwork took most of my energy--bedsheets were ironed and I just have to put them on and snooze.
Need to dream of watermelon and something savoury for supper when it will be cooler.

I am on the fence of whether to try to get a haircut in mid-July when the stampede to salons is likely to subside or just wait the month out to see how hot or not it will be. I'd like some even edges on this hair in 2021. Booking online will only happen if I have a good feeling that certain weather conditions will hold and that I can get out to the salon on my own. Maybe plan on getting some bus fares on my card loaded next week so I can get around with more ease.

Probably on Friday, I will venture out to Walmart to look for those neon sport shoelaces and a couple of other things. Temperatures are going to be around mid-20s and I can move around in that range.

Now plugging in that USB fan to my laptop to get a little air circulation...find your bliss today, Smart Canucks!

Popped out to No Frills to get ready for the next week. DS is done school so he needs beach food
I bought turkey breast, blueberries, pineapples, peppers, wraps, English muffins (for breakfast) Cracker Barrel sandwich cheese, laughing cow cheese, doritos .
The buy 4 items get 4,000 pc pts is a deal. I bought 2 pineapple and 2 blueberries all at $1.97 each and received 4,000 points back. I would do it again if oldest could eat this stuff right now.

Oldest texted me asking for meatloaf for dinner lol The nurse told him he could have it. So I am making one now.

    Good Morning Everyone,
This week is so not going as planned, I feel like I am all over the place. Monday I got to one of our location and as I was in the parking lot got an email, the staff member I was there to work with was not in. Yesterday before I left the house I called, nope they are not in, so I went to a different location to work with a different staff member.

I am over this heat, it looks like to will break for a couple of day and then right back into the heat, ugggg it is going to be a long summer.

We are taking Friday off for Canada Day but I went ahead and asked for Thursday off too. Part of me wants to do nothing for 4 days but the other part of me is like I need to get this done, that done, oh and that, an this, so we shall see. A lot will depend on the heat breaking.

So I just need to get through today, deal with all the work stuff and then I am off.

    Have a great day everyone.

Our area had a fast thunderstorm/pounding rain system just before 6pm yesterday and it was over within 15min. As the first heavy drops fell, the air cooling was so welcome and evident. But the humidity came back after the downpour.

This morning, rain is imminent again (and I'm feeling yesterday's yardwork pains plus I got an itchy rash from one of the plants). Will postpone going out for anything today and make Friday grocery run day. Glad to have seen the flyer previews and to know what's of interest to add to my shopping list. Did not spot any gift card deals yet.

Marks order gave an update-my entire order is coming from Nova Scotia.
Wellwise sent me 4 updates-each item is shipping separately. Ouch-will see which locations are sending unless 4 different persons picked and packed at a central location (the 4 e-mails have same time and date of arriving into my inbox).

A Day to Listen (to Indigenous voices) is broadcasting on a few hundred Canadian radio stations today-found out on Global morning show.

Off to a good start, I was up and wide awake at 5 am so I got up and got my day rolling.

By 8 am I had half of my work to-do-list done but it was the easy stuff, now onto the harder more time consuming stuff.

I took a break and emptied and loaded the dishwasher.

I feel like I am getting back into my groove, back into my routine, feeling happy.

There was some cool air when I got up at 5 am so I opened the doors and windows and let the cool air in. Once the humidity started to build I closed everything up. I am not finding it hot in the house yet but it feels stuffy so I have a couple of fans going to circulate some air.
