Update: I added 8 shampoo and 3 fem. hygiene items for a total of 193 items.
I met a worker from Evergreen House this morning outside LD at Guildford Mall to drop off the items and her reaction was "Wow!!!". They have no budget for personal care items so they are completely reliant on donations for these items and usually receive sample sizes. So, receiving donations like ours is awesome for them.
There are up to 120 women per year who go through Evergreen transition house. They can stay up to 30 days while they are escaping an abusive situation. I was asked to pass on the message that our donations will really make a difference.
I will continue collecting whatever people would like to bring to coupon swaps and I will drop off to Evergreen. I will also update totals in the first post so that by the end of the year we can see how much of a difference we have made!!! Here is a picture of our first donation.Last edited by DianneS; Sun, Feb 19th, 2012 at 03:55 PM.
