    Good Morning Everyone,
Slow start to the day but I feel like that is what Sundays are made for.

Good new is my back feel much better today and my foot although it still hurt this morning it was not as bad. Really hoping I am on the right path to getting this pain to go away as foot pain really does interrupt day to day life. I keep trying to ignore it and push through but I think the foot pain is what set off the back pain. I have been standing funny because my foot hurts which messed up my back, grrrr vicious circle.

I may or may not do some cooking, I should but right now the ambition is not there. Maybe it will come after I have something to eat.

Not overly happy looking at the long range forecast looks like we are going into a heat wave and it does not look like we will have temps below 30 for the next two weeks. Really hoping this changes, yesterday was a gorgeous day, why can summer not be like yesterday.

    Have a wonderful Sunday everyone

Had a lovely bubble bath and time to myself -i decided to put my books on hold at the library til sept as i wont have time to read watching grandkids the girls 2-3 times a week and sebastian is here for 4 strait days then his dad will take him for 3 days .

Hubby went out bike riding for 30 minutes yesterday -its a start.

Sassy i agree we had the girls 3 days last week along with sebastian and i found monday and tuesday took a lot of of me then on wednesday was sooo tired -this humiditity i dont care for in my 60"s .

Mind you my daughter is loving our air conditioned house(her house had no air conditioning) and she is getting more of her job done with us watching sebastian ,so in that aspect i am glad i can help her out for now .

    Free fishing weekend in SK.

I had a bunch of bites and 2 little jackfish got off my hook when I was reeling. Twin boy saw one pickerel hit my hook a couple times, but wasn’t enough to try to set the hook. Ds and put friend got bites, but no one landed a fish. No mosquitoes and lots of dragonflies. There were several muskrats that were swimming around the docks while we were fishing. A couple crayfish and a snapping turtle too. We caught a dozen minnows with the minnow net and put them in a big bucket to look at. They also saw a garter snake near the shore. We headed home after 2hrs because Dh was hot.

I popped out today over to carters and got a few clothing articles a canada day -t-shirt for a girl 24 months 2.99(my girlfriends son's baby to be )a t-shirt for bigger brother $4.99 and leggings that are lined for cara when she starts school $4.99

Then into winners bench boys underwear for sebastian for the next year ,or year and a half 3.00 reduced as their was only one in the pkg
A bra for me t-back (no wires)11.99 reduced reg 19.99 my daughter saw it and said "wow it is has splatters of rust colour " no wonder nobody wanted it -well i did .

Then into shoppers for 20 times the points -as i was leaving the store i drove away but then looked at my bill the cashier didnt give me the managers 5.00 sticker off the p.c k-cups so back i went.
I stood back from the cash line up infact across from it at a distance and this older lady maybe age 70 -75 yelled"stand back lady" to me .I in turn said "i am at a distance" ,i just didnt want to wait in a long line the cashier had as only one was on cash.
As i walked out the customer behind said how rude was she -i would have said more .
The cashier then said "its the ones with the cloth masks that always complain -uggggg my rant for the day.

I was about 2wks late planting my vegetable garden this year. First pea flowers opened today. Tomato plants are coming along nicely. Red rhubarb has been harvested 3 times already. Only female zucchinis flowering in my garden right now. So I harvested 2 babies that were done flowering. I knew they wouldn’t mature because no male zucchini flowers are opening yet.

Another rainy cool day here so I hauled out the crockpot and used up the beef to make the filling for meat pies. Dinner was a turkey breast bought from Flashfood. It feels like fall but that will end soon.

    Good Morning Everyone,
Oh what a morning already, urgggg, up early working away and all of a sudden just after 6 problems, problems, problems. By the time our day actually started I felt like it should be lunch and today should be half over LOL.

Not sure what is up, I am sleeping, I am waking up before my alarm (always makes me happy), but I am struggling to get up and get my day started. I keep waking up tired and not sure why.

I will take a break shortly and do something around the house, I need to remember to get up and move around as it helps my foot. Only thing is, it is a fine balance between being on my foot and being active and pushing it too far. I pushed it way too far last week and paid for it for a few days. Although Doc was surprised I was not taking a bunch of over the counter pain meds, so yay me, maybe I do have a pain tolerance, who knew LOL.

Last night's dinner got pushed to tonight because I fell asleep on the couch and when I woke up I wasn't overly hungry, neither was Mom so we just had some leftover Pasta with leftover Meat Sauce and I made Garlic Bread which honestly, I wanted the Garlic Bread more than the Pasta.

Tonight I am going to make Lemon Pepper Chicken in the Air Fryer with Air Fryer Veggies - I have a bunch of Veggies I need to use up so I am going to make a mix and season them various spices. Also thinking of some sort of Potatoes maybe just boiled with some Butter and Herbs.

Sadly it looks like the fall like weather will end today, I was enjoying the cooler temps.

Have a great Monday everyone, it is a new week and new start if anyone needs one.

Today's cold wind offset what I thought would be a muggy day...except muggy day turned up in the afternoon! I was berating myself for missing opportunity to do one errand by bus in the cool of day. Now I have to watch the week and hope for a break in the 30C+ lineup -had hoped to visit Mississauga for a short day trip (might have to wait for next week as I won't brave weekend GO Transit buses during its Weekend pass promo for smartphone users) while I am still upright (getting to be a struggle to stay up as the situation keeps getting heavier in my torso). Gave myself a reprieve and errand could possibly be done Thurs night if rain stays away. Store in question has 8pm closing on Thurs and Fri but I'm looking at about 1h on the bus there. Then time to walk to the store from the bus stop and shop then turn around for next bus back. Keeping alert on the second chance possibility to move along on other things that need doing. Bro and I are having nasty words, so I may not be online that often this week (yep, ranting about using his Internet and more). Hope to post again from the library mid-week as I have items to return and new ones to collect.

Ran a load of laundry. Caught up on morning tv. Ricardo's repeat show had this salmon with cajun spices with roasted green cabbage and polenta. It seems easy enough but I'd probably tweak the liquids in the polenta so meal could be eaten on a fast day (use water and say coco-almond beverage).
    https://ici.radio-canada.ca/mordu/re...s-chou-polenta
Short clip of the ingredients being put together but final plate looks a touch different from what was on the show (salmon pieces were more like deck of cards than the long sections shown in video).

Over at 5 Chefs Dans Ma Cuisine, the repeat show had two veggie dishes with tofu. But I post the short video/recipe for the roasted tofu cubes in a rice bowl (with a 3 bell pepper strip saute) because it was neat that maple syrup (popular in Quebec dishes) was added with seasonings to coat the cubes prior to roasting. Might be a good easy meal for the (firm) tofu fans here on SC!

Use Google Translate to switch from French to English for the Tofu recipe and the Ricardo recipe above:

Hello! Returned home from my road trip early. Left at 630 am for the 5.5 hour drive home and it was wonderful. Even the drive there wasn't too bad until the last hour as I got closer to the city. I went to Gatineau Quebec
The best part. I visited the casino and won so came home with more money then I went with, paid for 2 meals out (I brought food since I wasn't interested in eating crap) morning coffees and gas for the drive home. Didn't use my credit card at all.
Spent a sunny morning at the beach/park and it was nice seeing so many people out and about before 9am!
The drive was really nice and actually relaxing surprisingly. Gatineau was much bigger then I was expecting but I"m glad I went and can mark it off the bucket list The best part was I started reading again (I haven't read since last Feb when on our trip to Mexico) I just hadn't been feeling it but picked up the book from then that I was really enjoying and feel like I haven't missed anything so happy to continue reading it and once done start another in my pile of books to read and then pass on.

I went to Costco today to return a bag full of items and bought $10 less then my return so my credit card will have a credit on it.
Got DS a new cooling pillow. Hopefully he likes it. My youngest has terrible allergies so I am tossing all his pillows and got him a good fancy one. Got a beach cover on for $9.97 so hoping I like it. And DS loves his ceaser wraps so bought 2 of the Mighty Garlic dressing on for $3.97 reg $5.99.

Off to relax a bit before an early night to bed. So nice to be home in my comfy bed

Morning! Cloudy and the rain is suppose to come this afternoon. I put a load in the washer and cleaned the kitchen. Made myself an egg on a toasted bagel for breakfast. Have a bit of running around to do today so going to go get ready for the day now and go out this morning before the rain.

    Have a great day everyone!

Life continues on, hunkering down from the humidity, and noise as some sidewalks are being redone today of all days.
I believe I previously mentioned that I don't function well with humidity.Still the case and my non-essential work is piling up!
Want to cook nothing due to the heat.Just finished off another rotisserie chicken so that's off the list.Got some leftovers in the freezer but not enough to last if this warm weather continues on as @SassyAshley mentioned.
Found a stash of throwback Pepsi at Metro on Sunday!!! Treated myself as received money for Father's Day! Here's to making memories of the Pepsi I used to get in a waxed paper cup at Centre Island,Toronto!
Have a great week my friends!
