Good day my Frugal Friends down at Fraggle Rock(hey the song came to me!)
Managed to get out and vote, only 20 minutes from lining up to being done! Thankful for that as read some places in Toronto 90 minute wait!
Encouraging to read about everyone's finds, as flyers for awhile now seem to have less and less good deals, especially meat other than chicken.
Bought a couple of roasts from Metro last week.More than what I would like to pay, but when I factor in the few more dollars spent it represents a couple of coffees so no brainer!
Glad to see that people are motoring along with their fall cleaning.I'm still at least a season back, but hey what are the temperatures like today?
Fall colours with summer temps...not bad except I miss those nice crispy sounding, decay smelling leaves that I can plow my feet through when I'm out on my walks.
We're blessed to live in this country of ours! Have a great week everyone!Always remember the What are you thankful for today? thread as there always is something to be thankful for.

I love Giant Tiger. The one in town is far for me, but I always pick up a bunch a bananas for $1.68 and grocery staples. Even when I return things to Giant Tiger, I end up buying stuff. I guess my wallet is happy that it is on the other side of town. I love their no limit with receipt return policy!

Was at Costco Burlington yesterday, the store was packed, I was shocked at how many people were in the store. I have never seen Costco this busy and am wondering if the front entrance person wasn't doing their job. A nice couple let me use the top of their cart as I picked up a few items. The raspberries for $4.99 in a large container are delicious. I have to return something but will wait as I don't want to go back on a weekend, as it was crazy busy.
Last warm day before a few days of rain :-(

@barbis9 pretty sure we shop at the same GT, and I confess I went back yesterday on my way to Christie Lake because the gift card deal was too good to pass up. I also found really nice tshirts for 2.50 and I am sending a box of clothes north so this was awesome. I bought everything they had.
I took a fall off my board yesterday. As my mom would say I went ass over tea kettle, and while that makes no sense it likely describes it. I was adjusting my stance knowing full well it was a bit windy and I lost my balance and went head 1st which is not the way to fall but I was not paying attention so could not correct my direction for the fall. I gave myself a few wicked bruises but managed to get back on while in the lake so it still felt like a win. And my phone case really is waterproof.Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

Good Morning!
I took a roast out of the freezer last night and popped it in the oven this morning. Mashed potatos, green beans and gravy to go with!
Breakfast is a coffee and English muffin with egg and cheese.
Have a $5 porch pick up this morning.
Have my list ready to go and will start it as soon as I wash up the dishes (also on the list lol)
Have a fantastic day everyone!

Good Morning Everyone,
A little worried about all of the rain that is supposed to be heading out way. Since they have taken down the wall and taken it back to brick I am worried without the insulation and vapour barrier we may flood again. I will put down towels and pray we do not flood.
Last night's dinner was good we did try the Slow Cooker Lemon Chicken Piccata, I was worried about cooking the pasta in the slow cooker but it worked. Only thing was it did take an extra 10 minutes. Because the liquid it is cooked in becomes the sauce it does come out a little starchy. We would make it again.
Tonight's dinner is a mystery so far, not sure what I feel like. I had original planned on a different slow cooker meal, Slow Cooker Garlic Parmesan Chicken & Potatoes but I did not realize this meal also has lemon in it. Not sure two back to back lemon dishes will go over well.
Still have a few small things on my to-do-list I need to get done around the house. I really feel like I am starting to make progress and getting back into my routines which makes me happy. I really feel back on track and in control but I need to keep the momentum going. The big obstacle right now is the basement, we are waiting to hear when the waterproofing will be done. Until that is done there are still quite a few items on the main floor we need to move down to the basement but the basement is back in chaos and I am still worried about flooding.

I popped over to the mall to get my overcharge back from body shop $6.07 return and i found out i had enough points saved up for another 10.00 off so i got myself shea light spray 11.00-10.00=$1.35 it was suppose to be 16.00 but the small sign hadnt been changed yet.
Hung a load out before it may rain around 3 p.m so it may be dry .
