Shoppers (the smaller one) usually has spaces on its shelves if a certain weekend special is on. Usually, there might not have been a full shelf of product or its varieties during week, so what's left sells out on day 1 of weekend sale (some cleaning products, Kleenex pocket packs, wet wipes). Some snacks seem to take a long time to get restocked. My fave seaweed snack area seems in transition or someone was changing the spacing for the snacks on the shelf but the product was not visible. The gift card racks by greeting cards-the prepaid VIsa/Mastercard slots are not always filled >have to go to the third counter to see which values of cards are in and they tend to be the variable load kind (with highest activation fees) or small value specific $ gift cards. Even the chilled drink coolers seem half-empty most of the time this year sale or not for the 591ml pops or certain flavours never get restocked quickly, just once in awhile.

Fortinos this year-it seems there's a long time between refill stock on say Epsom salts, rubbing alcohol (70%), and certain Band-Aid bandages once they sell out. Sometimes stockouts on Perrier bottles or slim cans when they are on sale-can be a long wait thinking I might see stock return before the sale ends on Wednesday (but sometimes no stock even then). Bathroom tissue now and then sells out too.

Longos usually has stock and it is a quieter store most hours but then the busy times, there are customers with full carts and maybe 1 or two family members helping with shopping. But in some categories, Longos might run down stock to 1 or 2 units then it can be a couple or three weeks before stock comes in. Nature Clean soap refill or the hand soap pumps tend to sell out (whether regular price or on sale) as well Cottonelle bathroom tissue on sale comes to mind, certain first aid items never get restocked (cards get removed) after the last items sell (ie tiny alcohol wipes in foil packs-after I bought the last box last year, I never saw it return with more stock). I've noticed that the Ricardo slow cooker niche is now storing extra Twinkies boxes and the Oxo utensils, if still in store, have been sent to other endcaps. Always check the clearance area near the stockroom doors for the last of personal care items (if package changes or product is discontinued), seasonal items, and marked down pantry or grocery. 47 cent bags 900g of Italpasta baby shells are sitting in the clearance area of Ancaster Longo. I did not have extra cash for the deal so I expect some bags might still be there next Thursday or Friday.

UPS delivered my tiny Nordstrom poly bag-it was the last baby top in that size! Came from Ottawa, same place where my HBC order is currently sitting. I got an actual reply from someone at HBC but no new information. Just repeated the stuff I already know.

September-Amazon.ca coupon $3 from Prime and $6 (10% off) from Amazon US were highlights for my orders. I'm not making much other money of late!

Very chilly but bright day to close out September. Did my ironing late but wanted clothing ready for the morning. Calendar pages need changing when I wake up. Off to sleep-have a quiet night, everyone!

I shared some Hawthorn berries with my gals at RCSS and some of them wanted more, so I brought each a couple of pounds. Food shared just makes the experience better.

Yesterday, an Indian lady and I chatted about Rasmalai dessert. I had never tried it before and asked her if she at it and how it tasted. She offered to buy me a box, but I declined. I said that I only wanted a taste and that we could wait for another hot day so that it might be a good opportunity to share with her co-workers, who might also be interested in trying different cultural food.

I brought her the berries today left. I came back later to learn that she had bought me a box and left it in the FlashFood freezer. What a sweetie. Good deeds being paid forward.

Claim what isn't covered on income tax. Great that you have some insurance coverage.

Some of the warehouses have been closed or reduced hours due to covid cases - that's what I was told when I couldn't find some of my usual products.

    Incredible savings!
It's nice to see you counting your vegetable savings. Home gardening really makes a difference. You've inspired me to get going on my indoor veg growing using grow light systems
