@Skippy I'm not sure how to help with the cat on recliner issue. Think cats like their humans' warm heads on pillows too. But if your cat uses recliner as scratching post, the latest Soseol the cat video (Youtube; author is Kish Log) shows one of the cat's humans making special patches for front of recliner to reduce its shreddability. The table legs on dining table also got covered in special fabric to protect against scratches.

Missed breakfast today but am totally pleased with long sleeve Henley top (just enough warmth under jacket) for today's morning outing. Friend and I visited a different Fortinos store that I did not know had a full basics Joe Fresh section! I want the girls' iridescent puffer vest! Could not find the men's Henley shirts on racks. Lots of clearance clothing items for tots and adults. Store also stocks the PC Black Label Smoked Paprika!!! I like how clearance racks are near the closed store entrance, near the customer service/photo kiosk area plus the news stand/magazine racks store all the various PC totes for sale. The small black one with cardboard bottom is in stock but I did not see the larger version. No success in finding those black 99 cent PC Green totes made from pop bottles.
We also checked out the gift card wall and stationery. Best start to the day!

I do miss my tea. I'll make a mug of it when I get home. Some grey clouds are wanting to spoil the blue sky right now...

Fortinos.ca is still showing the Free Coke Zero Sugar 500ml offer (I don't have a store location picked) for online grocery orders. Ends Oct. 28; limit one offer per promo period, while supplies last.

Tomorrow, Shoppers Drug Mart has weekend only Halloween treat deals! Go early if you know that the store has sweets you are sweet on!

Sassy -i hope you have a better day ,maybe take some me time this weekend for you.

Wow its chilly out only 8 degrees,as i went to pick up garbage bins .Off to get my hair cut this afternoon at 1.30 (cant wait always feel great after a haircut),son asked if i could pick up the girls from their bus if he and my daughter-in-law are not back in time from lunch at a winery (he will call me as i am borrowing my hubbies cell phone )

Just got back from my haircut feels great .My hairdresser has a small shop and there is only her ,a lot of her customers have decided to dye their own hair ,so she still hasnt recouped a lot of business.I gave her a nice tip.

Then i popped into freshco wow really good sale 2.00 bag of yellow 10 pound potatoes ,bread 2.00,pears .99 a pound etc. I spent 77.00 i know i dont get any points or airmiles here but hey the prices drew me in .

I just talked to my son and that felt good ,but i still worry about my small grandkids when they are sick .Cara wanted to drop in and see us yesterday after the hospital visit but my son had to get the meds into her that were at home ,but she is in school today (no fever ) and that is a good thing .
I hope your granddaughter will be ok.

My cat always sits on top of the recliner. Yours wants to be close to you - take it as a compliment. I sometimes have to share my seating with one of my cats but prefer that over a cat that would ignore me.

I’m still substitute teaching, but I’ve been asked to continue teaching for this teacher until November 8th, then the school might know more. It could turn into a temporary teaching contract.

The dishwasher died this week and Dh wasn’t unable to fix it. We’ll look into our options tomorrow.

Saskatchewan is still doing a horrible job dealing with COVID. Mask mandate and nothing else. Classes stay in person regardless of COVID cases.

    Twelve covid deaths reported in SK today, that's the highest 1-day reporting since January 26th. Three were 60-79, nine were 80+. For the week we've had 39 deaths. 1x 20-39, 2x 40-59, 12x 60-79 & 16x 80+.

Angela-nice that you know your sub work for a few weeks at a time-rather than a surprise every morning.

I have a busy day planned today-groceries, out for lunch with a friend-then to drop some groceries off at my Mum's and take her to pick up her new glasses. In the evening I am babysitting for a friend who has been redeployed to ICU nursing-I volunteered to give him and his wife a much needed free evening out.

CG-I imagine ICU in AB these days is a pretty stressful place to work. So it is the least I can do.

Frosty feeling to the start of the morning! Quick cook oatmeal was needed to get moving with lots of spices and milk and brown sugar.

Mom & I got our textile donations to the church site early and I walked over to the library afterwards.

Was able to shop at two stores with friend. Got some produce deals ($2.97 net bag of red onions, and 2 of the 97 cent cucumbers) at Giant Tiger, a pumpkin pie, those $1.67 pop specials and 3 for $10 baby onesies (2 sets). Then over to outlet store for treats and a bottle of Burt's Bees baby shampoo (smells like honey but the ingredient list has lots of chemical names familiar to most brand lists on bottles). One day I plan to get an Amazon Surprise bag and see what's in it. I noticed several food items have Amazon stickers so likely stock from the chain is bought up by Surplus Xtreme. There's a $1 M&M peanut Xmas book of the treats with May 2021 date. I'll have them as a snack later tonight. My fave cookie is no longer on the shelf-it was a crisp round digestive cookie that was super-thin with mini chocolate chips. I'll see if I can find it in grocery stores. The card section is very extensive-it will be worth a more detailed look next visit. The clothing section is looking random-thought there was a rack of baby apparel but found a few hangers of baby clothes on the wall hooks. Too many black bulky coats. Watch the taco shell kits on the endcap-bb date was June of this year. YMMV.

Tomorrow's plan will involve roasting some red onion wedges with carrots and an apple or two (cut into wedges) on a sheet pan. Have to think hard about a main course. Will view F9 movie on DVD this weekend. Just a chance score finding it on the Express loan shelf so I can take holds off my account now.

I will get one of the Happy gift cards at Fortinos but hold off on the next Visa card (too much temptation) for now. Want to earn some PC pts. Have some grocery items to get this weekend. Managed to wipe some fridge shelves and crisper bins and put leftovers into smaller containers. Floor got mopped and main bathroom got a quick scrubbing of the porcelain.

Next week-I'd like to bus to two Bay stores to look at coats and sale baby stuff during last week of Bay Days. Bonus if I can get to Nordstrom Rack to see which of desired apparel items might be found at Mississauga's location (and get more Jollibee pies-no need for app!). There's a new library branch (Parkdale) on east side of Hamilton I'd like to see before any snow day happens--such a boon for the community to finally have a local branch with computer area (rather than going to Red Hill or Kenilworth branches).

Puzzle fans who love Mandarin Buffet takeout-the brochure in the mail this week shows the Family Fun Meal for $72.99. There's a smaller balloon stating you can pay $10 for a 1000 pc puzzle (no mention of design or theme). Think you have to buy the 2-5 person meal to get the puzzle offer to be valid.
