thanksgiving.. in my house it has changed from a all family weekend to a ... relaxed weekend. I have certain IN laws that over the years... micromanged, stressed my entire family ect to the point that now all of my kids hate thanksgiving. I miss ... the turkey and the seeing the family.. .. i dont miss the .. oh so and so said you did a had a bigger turkey for them. oh they had 6 sides, how many sides do you have.. we must wait for , person who never showed up... and delayed supper by 5 hours.. at some point we put our foot down an refused to do any more with them.
i do wish, we could get back to a ... nice meal , with just my kids... not happening with 1 3 proovinces away... lolto join earnably https://earnably.com/i/gigi3

Good morning! I'm getting back into a groove at home and setting up goals to save to go out to visit my daughter again next year. We had a wonderful visit. My daughter had friends help and arrange a guest suite in a seniors residence for a good deal $50 a night. The only downfall was that we ended up eating 2 meals out at restaurants/fast food per day which added up quickly. I'm definitely going to have to strategize my spending more next time I visit.
I'm heading out shortly to see my back specialist today and then I want to make sure I get out to Independent when I return to get my free butter and orange juice offer. I'm still amazed that PC points is offering us free food each week. I'll take free food anyday!
Have a wonderful day everyone!3.50 125.00 30.00

Have you thought about doing a pool exercise class or join a book club? I have used both of these to help me when I feel down. The pool class is so much fun and the ladies I exercise with are so friendly. I look forward to it each week. I go to the Y as its' reasonably priced and they take covid precautions.

I replaced my tires at Canadian Tire yesterday, got another $88 in Canadian tire money (will save for Christmas purchases) and no interest for 24 months! I was very happy, and I also paid an additional $12 a tire for a 6 year warranty so I don't have to worry about the tread warranty should something go wrong. I used the original $99 in Canadian Tire money promo (for applying for the card), so overall very happy, as 18 inch truck tires are expensive. I was surprised that Costco tires were more expensive.
We too had years of family drama at Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. where the one family member was always late, and we would all wait. That has changed now, as we eat at a certain time and if they are late, we leave a plate for them. I don't understand how people can be on time for work, but make family members wait for hours. Selfish in my opinion - unless of course there is a true emergency (which was never the case). Meanwhile I would go to friends homes with a large gathering and no drama.Last edited by barbis9; Tue, Oct 5th, 2021 at 09:56 AM.

Today is Seniors Day (55+) at Hudson Bay in-store. I cannot spot an online code for web shopping from the flyer.
Ah, the Facebook page says the code is SAVE. https://www.facebook.com/hudsonsbay/...type=3&theater
Speaking of Facebook (and WhatsApp and Instagram) being down most of the afternoon yesterday, Twitter was having a good day! It seemed like a Twitter party where the prizes were laughs over memes reacting to Twitter vs the other social channels. Lots of Squid Game (Netflix) memes, so now I have to watch that Korean series! Since I only was online after 1pm, I was slow to the fact something was going on until I saw Instagram's reply to Twitter's post: https://twitter.com/instagram/status...84977096314880
The Twitter post that started the party: https://twitter.com/Twitter/status/1445078208190291973

Yesterday was a good delivery day-US Amazon order showed up 3 days ahead of promised date! If I had managed to keep my Amazon Prime membership, I probably would have been able to track parcel after it was cleared for customs but I could not track it. US tracking no did not come up on Canada Post site. I noticed that Amazon Canada applied a different shipping label over the original one for the Mississauga facility to send the order to me.
HBC box was still in transit somewhere yesterday. This morning, both Canada Post and The Bay's Narvar show box came back to Hamilton just after midnight today and it went to a second Hamilton facility.
Received my Longos order this morning. I checked online-Longos meal kits: some have sold out (the chef-inspired kits for larger turkey meals along with the porchetta one). You can still get turkey breast meal kits for 2-4 but delivery has to be taken by Oct. 10.
Sobeys-there weren't any turkey meal offers this year for Thanksgiving in the flyers (or did I miss see it?). Haven't checked Voila.ca for any delivery options for meal kits.
Last night, I was matching utility bills to bank statements. hen I decided to move some receipts lurking in the bill drawer and match them to past statements--came across some filing issues that took 15min of my time and will need a concentrated effort next time. Not fun after 10pm. Bell subscribers (landline)-did you see that $15/mo unlimited talk and text offer that expires at month end in tiny print on your last bill?"This is the Way." The Mandalorian
