Do you know how this works? I decided to try it out and bought bananas. I picked interac transfer for payment method and this afternoon I received an email saying I earned $0.50 in my PayPal account. Not sure what I did wrong but I have no interest in having a PayPal account.

I would just contact them, their customer service is really good. You can double check your payment preferences under your profile. If it's checked correctly then notify then and they should credit you back.
