Dh and I filed our income taxes. It took a while…we are both getting tax returns, but not as much as we were hoping with all of our tax write offs.
@Angela273 the climate incentive credit isn't given in a refund for 2021 tax year, but will be quarterly payments, which may explain why you are not getting as much of a refund.

@lizzie bargain Ooooooo. I’m dying to go to Iceland! Never been unless you count a peloton scenic ride there

    Good Morning Everyone,
My back was really bothering as the day went on yesterday, it started to feel like it was going down my legs which was making my legs hurt too. So I was limited on what I got done but today it isn't perfect but it is better.

Yesterday I got the Kitchen stuff done, dishwasher emptied and reloaded. I did not get the hand dishes done but that is okay there were only a couple and I got them plus last night's dishes done this morning. I got the laundry done, washed, dried, folded and put away. Was not a ton but I am happy for a work day.

Last night for Dinner Mom had Chicken Wings and I had a BBQ Chicken Breast with Oven Fries. I had planned to make homemade air fryer fries but my back could not take the peeling potatoes.

Today I want to get the Kitchen Floor cleaned, I knew I could not yesterday, my back would not have held up. Would also like to get the bathroom cleaned.

Dinner is a bit of a mystery so far, originally I was not going to be home today but now I am. I will go over my meal plan and see what jumps out at me, Mom was commenting on Meatloaf yesterday so maybe. Going to take a Pork Roast out and I will put that in the Slow Cooker tomorrow morning for tomorrow night's dinner.

    Happy Tuesday

    Good day!

Last night we had steak fahitas for dinner. (used up the already cut up onions and peppers from the other day) Pulled steak from freezer and sliced it up before cooking. Was a great way to use up stuff including wraps I bought too many of that expire tomorrow.

Bought 2 roasts and a package of sausage on Flashfood app this morning (2 x $4 and $1.75) Trying not to go crazy but keep us fed.

I had a call with my girlfriend yesterday and she said i just sounded a little raspy,so i am on my way .

I made chicken soup with the leftover chicken carcuss and had a bit of meat leftover,so 5 containers for the freezer, one in fridge.

I am going to go out for another walk on this beautifull day .I also ordered myself a few clothing from joe fresh 2 sleep pants ,t-shirt and a pair of underwear.I decided to go up in a few clothing pieces to 1x,as i find i just pulled an xl t-shirt out of my wardrobe from joe fresh 2 yrs ago and i dont care for it as its too tight -we will see if they are too big i will just return .Got 10,000 points for spending $32.88 ,so basically like 10.00 off .

My baby just passed his road test Finally after his driving school and lessons being delayed because of Covid, then a long wait for his 1st appointment that was to happen in Feb but cancelled 1 hour before (because of weather) and finally he got to go today. So happy that is done!

Off to RCSS to pick up my Flashfood order and take a walk around the store and see if any deals.

@Giseledta - I have a question for the gardener of the group.

I need to clean up my beds and re-fill my pots. Do I want top soil (cheaper) or black earth? TIA!

Beautiful sunny day to start! Dropped DS off at school for 8am. Stopped by my office to pick some stuff up and now home to work.

I think I may go putter in the front yard for a bit. Clean up and get a bit of sun

DS has a hockey game this afternoon- Students against teachers. I am sure they torture the teachers like usual

Dinner tonight will be one of the roasts I picked up yesterday for $4 ((Flashfood) PC free from Top sirloin-* I should have bought all 15!!! oh well wasn't meant to be I guess) with roasted potatoes (working on bag to use up) and green beans (in freezer and need to be used up). Easy and cheap dinner!!!

Laundry is a work in progress. Been folding it as I go so it is all in laundry room ready to put away. I need to wash some curtains so will take them down now and toss in washer and then hang them right back up (they dry nicely )

    Have a wonderful day everyone!
