@cath007 thanks for the jif link. I am good with the one jar I have, and since it was already open it’s a good thing
all the new perennials are planted and I still need to build the new gardens but maybe one night this week as I am tired. I will get the kale and peppers in after work Tuesday as it’s still rather cool here. The beans I started from seed are doing well so I need to thin them out. Then it’s a tray of impatience’s and I am done planting.

I hope everyone had a good long weekend-I wouldn't call it hot here-but warm enough to turn off the furnace, air out the house and sit out in the sun a bit. Went for a short bike ride today and hope to build up-since being really sick for the past 3 weeks and not fully recovered yet-just taking it slowly.

@harbie isolation is the way to go, when DH had it over Christmas he was banished to the basement and the rest of us stayed healthy. 2 weeks ago we gathered for my final family event before my brother and SIL move to Nova Scotia and the next day my niece tested positive. We all waited with baited breath and no one else in a group of 40 caught it. We are all at least 3 shots and the older amongst us are 4 shots. My niece has only 2 shots and was quick to drop the mask and now she sees the error of her ways. I really think what saved us it the entire event was outdoors. DH and I are almost able to get our 4th shot and this just confirms it’s a good idea. @lizzie bargain DH still questions whether he is fully recovered but yet his symptoms left over are not as severe as many report with long haul.

Three loads of laundry and done and put away. All of the debris from the huge bush have been disposed of during the free landfill weekend. We did the same with the tree trimmings. The neighbourhood squirrel was very vocal expressing its displeasure with us.

The kids and I also tackled our large porch. We finally packed away the winter gear…we waited because we have had such a long/crazy/cold spring.

I’m booked to teach in town tomorrow and 1hr away on Wednesday. I was pre-booked 2wks in advance for the Wednesday.

Got most of the kitchen things done today. Today was one of those days where I felt like I kept losing time.

I have prepped a ton of yummy food for this week, my hope is with all of this food ready to go it will help me stay on track and no skip meals.

I made a Chicken Fajita inspired dish, I was going to serve it over rice but I see my lettuce is not holding up as well as normal so I will have over Salads instead. To bulk up my Salads I cut up Cucumbers and Carrots to add, the fajita dish has Mushrooms, Onions, Peppers & Chicken. I have shredded Cheddar to add and made a dressing using Greek Yogurt, Salsa and some milk to thin it out.

Cut up some apples and soaked them so they will not turn brown and made some Peanut Butter dip using Greek Yogurt, Honey & Peanut Butter.

Made more Berry Sauce using the Triple Mix Berries from Costco, Apple Juice, a little Sugar and Cornstarch. I will have this over Lemon Ricotta Pancakes for Breakfast.

I needed to use up some veggies so I roasted off some Cherry Tomatoes, I wanted to use them on a Focaccia but did not get the Focaccia made so they are in the fridge waiting. Washed, cut up and packaged some Celery we had on hand that I kept putting off.

Dinner was Steak Sandwich with Mushrooms & Onions, on toasted rolls with melted Cheddar. On the side I made homemade Potato Wedges and a side Salad using the last of my non-creamy Caesar Dressing, I need to make more, it was on the list, did not get it done.

Well I cooked Dinner, I washed up all of the dishes so we have a clean kitchen. After dinner I took the garbage out, slowly getting those little things off the to-do-list.

    Slowly getting things done.

Hoping the contractor will be back tomorrow and finish my basement so next weekend I can focus on cleaning the basement and rebuild my pantry. We have not heard anything so let's hope.

@cath007 several things are in place here. Quebec has separate laws than most of Canada, especially with coupons, contests and the fact that a lot of people don't know how to speak/read/write in French and therefore don't want to deal with your province. Its' not fair for sure. Just like American coupons are not allowed in Canada.

Ugh another recall - now it's Skittles candy - something to do about metal?? Not sure why we are having so many recalls.

Nice sunny day but it was definitely cooler. The storm Sat was brutal, a tree behind me split in half, luckily no one was injured and it mostly landed in the backyard next door. However, my cable line is close to the ground now, as a tree branch is resting on it. I still have cable and the earliest Cogeco can come is Thursday. Keeping fingers crossed that it doesn't interrupt my service.

Fighting the urge to crawl under the desk I am working at and take a nap. For whatever reason, I do not know why, I woke up at 3:30 this morning and could not fall back asleep. Not ideal on a day I am in the office but making it work, we are almost there.

I had planned to finish my gardens tonight but now I am not sure I want to put my herbs out yet. When I got in my car this morning to drive into work it was 4 degrees. I am worried my herbs won't make it.

Thinking tonight will be some sort of Pasta Dish, either Mozzarella Chicken (my new obsession, so so good) or Spaghetti and Meatballs.

The contractor came today and did the mudding, he is supposed to be back tomorrow but Mom did not ask when he thinks he will be done, I am hoping to spend this weekend coming up rebuilding my pantry. My Pantry is a mess and I feel lost when I go down looking for things.

Happy Tuesday that feels like a Monday
