Bro got a bag of those Washington jumbo cherries at Food Basics for $3.49/lb. They looked great but the ones I ate-half had the juicy flavour and half did not. Bro was miffed when I told him Walmart had the same cherries on for $2.97/lb. Nonetheless, we ate the cherries within a half hour of their arrival. I was using my Mio water enhancers all day to make sure I was getting liquids into me plus a cold bottle of water (from last Friday's road trip).
Mom decided to pan-fry chicken meat and make mashed potatoes at the height of the heat in the afternoon. I made certain to leave Bro's small fan on low to help move the hot air out of the kitchen. Potatoes were great!
Managed to get a little of the grasscutting done in shaded areas in the morning before Ms Sunshine became BBQ Queen hot. Started some loads of laundry and hung them outside. Noticed one larged winged insect sheltered in frame of basement window for a few hours then when I approached it outside, it flew away. The heat must have felt too much for it as well.
In the morning, I intend to get to one grocery store and see what $15-$20 in snacks, fruit or bevvies can be purchased. Our last watermelon lasted a day with 4 small slice left overnight in fridge. I ate them in the early morning (so refreshing but the fruit was starting to turn as Mom had left the watermelon Sunday overnight in the kitchen...).
There's a severe storm warning/tornado watch for various parts of Ontario tomorrow afternoon. Make sure to secure any loose objects! Southwestern Ontario is going to see weather by 4pm, Toronto by 7pm and those of you out Barrie/London/Windsor way--watch the skies.
