Today I went on a bike ride with Ds and twin girl. Twin boy was grumpy, so he had a short bike ride with Dh before returning home. We went swimming as a family for a couple hours this afternoon. Ds and I went for another bike ride after supper. We collected about $0.75 worth of SARCAN items that he will get the money from. We’ll do the SARCAN run this week or next.
I now have 3 portions of nacho meat sauce and 2 portions of sweet and sour pork in the freezer. I’ll pack them when I move.Help me out with Swagbucks and we can both earn gift cards and PayPal money

I took a page from @Angela273 and asked for a rain check when Metro ran out of the milk on sale a few weeks ago, this is one frugal thing I never think to do. I used the rain check today and not only saved money but I had an air miles offer for milk so earned a few miles.
DS2 is now all ready for school. We will bring all the stuff upstairs and leave it in our bedroom to make it easier for him and his brother to get it to school.
To answer the dinner question we are cleaning the fridge before leaving and the kids will eat from the freezer. Today was bbq chicken breast and they were huge so I set some aside for fajitas on Monday. Tuesday I will do butter chicken in the crockpot. This is to ensure leftovers for the freezer. Wednesday is likely omelettes to use up the eggs and veg. Thursday is pizza and Friday burgers. Then we are gone until September 1. The kids have a plan for meals and we have factored in several takeout meals for them and we have a free pizza on the domino’s app. The older son is pretty frugal so will ask me about where to shop if they need anything.
now to start packing.Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

Lots on my plate tomorrow. Kids swimming lessons in the morning, then 2hr Go Science at the public library in the afternoon. I’ll go home and try to tackle some work while they’re enjoying the Science stuff. Fresh leftover rice…but not sure what I’ll use it for. We had fried rice recently, so I don’t think anyone wants that just yet. Maybe pork steaks with mushroom sauce.

Good Morning and Happy Monday! Rainy day here today.
The plan today is to get the work day out of the way and then once home clean out the fridge. It is a mess. Then I can plan the meals for the week on what needs to be used up. Rice with veggies and shrimp for sure one night (I think this is mine and DS's new fav)
Flashfood has tons of veggie and fruit boxes available today but I need to use up what we have.
I added 5 freezer bags of meat to the freezer on the weekend. (pork and BLSL chicken breast) I flattened them out and they are stacked so nicely. Cleaning/organizing the upright freezer is on my list to do as well. Need to take inventory of perogies since they are on for $1.99 at Walmart and now I see $3.99 is the price at RCSS!! They have a long expiry date and DS loves them.
I bought DS and my niece chocolate covered gummi bears at SDM (on for $1) I am dog sitting at their place in 2 weeks so I will leave them on my nieces dresser for a surprise when she returns home.
Ok I am anxious to get home and tackle the fridge. Our excitement as adults
Have a wonderful day everyone.

Good Morning Everyone,
Ran out right at 8 am to be at No Frills when they opened to grab a few groceries.
They were completely out of Celery and Oat & Honey bread. I was going to Price Match the celery so I might I have to run into Freshco and see if they have some and might have to run into another No Frills for bread but we will see how the week goes. I knew I was taking a chance grocery shopping on a Monday. But I got:
1 x Naturally Imperfect Mushrooms 681g $4
5 x Roma Tomatoes $0.99/lb
1 x Garlic 3-pack $0.89
2 x Romaine 3-pack $1.99
2 x Mangos $0.99
1 x Milk
3 x Vanilla Yogurt $1.96 (PM Freshco)
1 x Orange Juice $2.99
2 x Ranch Dressing $3.00 WUB
4 x Baguettes $0.88
2 x Granola Bars $1.96
I spent around $40 which is not bad, missing some of the old sale prices.
The Baguettes are for Mom to make more French Toast Cups for the freezer, we are out and have some eggs to use up.
Normally I do not buy Granola Bars, but I have some stuff coming up in the next few weeks and might need that grab and eat items. I would prefer to grab a granola bar over grabbing take out, it is a lot cheaper.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,
follow along as tackle day to day life and whatever else 2021 throws at me:

I use 4’ bamboo sticks as my tomato supports bc the metal cages have burnt my plants in the past…Estevan is the sunniest place in Canada. Unfortunately the stores haven’t had the bamboo sticks in stock in over a month…so I made some of my own. I spent 1.5hrs in the yard this morning, before swimming lessons. It’s supposed to feel like 36 this afternoon. Ds and I made some tomato supports from dead tree branches that I trimmed from a large tree that grows next to our shed. I used most of those, and tied up various tomato plants. Pruned tomato leaves that were touching the ground, weeded, watered. Picked 6 pea pods…barely enough to call a snack. A couple raspberries.
We also cleaned my van this morning. Ds vacuumed most of it. It’ll still need wiped down, but it’s already looking much better without the sand on the floors. I might be carpooling coworkers two days in August when we have meetings 2hrs away. The school division reimburses mileage. Might as well make the offer since I have room.Last edited by Angela273; Mon, Aug 8th, 2022 at 01:50 PM.
