The prices of food keeps going up. So Smartcanuckers look for sales. Been seeing sales on eggs when you buy 30. But when you look closely at the offer, it's for medium eggs. Not large. Hey grocery stores, this is one time when I want to be a large. I don't want to be a medium egg buyer. Smarten up!

@Shwa Girl thank you for saying what I thought after buying those silly medium eggs! I had not looked closely enough at the wording on the carton.
We actually used to buy extra large eggs all the time ( about 10 years ago ) but no way can we afford that luxury now!

I agree 100%. A few times I have gotten excited seeing eggs on sale only to see Medium in the fine print.
Happy I saw it before I went to the store and did not waste a trip but I want to know, how many people actually buy medium eggs?2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

I never bought large eggs when my kids were growing up and never thought there was much of a difference (sometimes larges I get now - are not much larger than the mediums) Now I buy non- graded from a neighbouring farm $7 for a flat

To be fair, the farmers can't ask the chickens to lay Large Eggs every time.
There is an avian flu pandemic, causing an egg shortage worldwide. They are moving the supplies that would normally be used in other ways and given to us at the supermarkets.
The egg shortage is about to get a whole lot worse, BTW.

I've watched the 2-day sale price of a dozen eggs at Shoppers Drug Mart increase from $1.69 just two years ago to this past weekend's price of $3.59

Fortinos has 18 lg eggs carton on sale for $4.49 (Gray Ridge). I went for the 12 ct lg carton at $3.99 because I did not want to risk losing eggs to breakage on Monday night (yes a second grocery trip!).
