Stores integrating their gift registries with MyRegistry.com

Was just looking at The Bay's online gift registry: it's changed! Now the gift registry is integrated with MyRegistry.com, a popular US site for wishlists and other other occasions. The change must have happened within the past 48hours as on Monday, I was still using the Bay's interface on their gift registry page to look for registries.

Last fall, Indigo Baby announced the end of their own registry system and a new affliation with MyRegistry.com but you can still find Wish Lists on the Chapters Indigo site, if you know the person's name and wishlist.

The thing with MyRegistry.com-creators can add products from various retailers into one wishlist, without having to create a separate registry/account on each retailer's site.

Expect to see more action as retailers decide to let third-party operators manage certain aspects of retail such as gift registries!

This could be a good thing. I always found The Bay registry very difficult to use.

Chapters Indigo has updated their website. It seems to use the same software as the one recently installed by Snuggle Bugz.

My point in mentioning the Indigo website update-the gift registries seem to be empty. So if anyone still had a registry on the old website, you are best to get a new one on Myregistry.com. It's possible that the redirect page has not yet been installed on the new Indigo gift registry page, as the old registry page did have one.

I knew that Canadian Tire used to have an online gift registry option that got discontinued two or three years ago.

Now that I am perusing their Canada's Fall store flyer (Sept 20-28, 2023), I saw the link about their new gift registry. The service is linked to Myregistry.com:

You'll only be able to see any Canadian Tire items requested on the registrant's (registrants') gift list if their names appear for viewing. The main registry list will be on MyRegistry.com.

Found out recently that the US Buy Buy Baby chain expanded from one location to eleven locations on Nov. 18.
Today I checked out its Registry link and surprise, it's now part of the MyRegistry.com program.

Am on the DearBorn Baby website and surprise-its registry system is on MyRegistry.com too. So if someone does a list on the store site and later links it to a master MyRegistry.com gift registry, the lists will be synchronized as items are purchased.

I am just window shopping some online sale deals. Wish list continues to grow with some items of interest now on clearance. No, I have not found that yellow stroller!

About two months ago, the Indigo.ca site indicated a return of multiple lists for accountholders. The MyRegistry.com connection does not seem to be around.
