I post few things to give away today and one of the people left me a bunch of hydrangeas. I was also picked for a few items in my freebie group. I don’t love the hassle of selling and I find I get what I need and getting stuff into the hands of someone that needs or wants it works for me.
I took advantage of the Sobeys offer of Scene points for HBC (thanks @Ciel21 ). I stopped at the Bay to see what they had that I wanted and then went to get the gift cards. I bought 5 nice big bath towels and a few bras and it was $110.00 after the discount. Then I will go back Tuesday for my Clinique. I have been out of my night cream for months but will only buy when it’s a gift with purchase. The 2000 or so scene points was a nice bonus.Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

Good Morning Everyone,
I slept 10 hours last night but am still feeling super tired today, I think my body is trying to fight something off as I am feeling a little congested and have some sinus pain.
Think I will keep things simple today, I need to make some Banana muffins as I have some Bananas that need to be used up. I also want to make some Whipped Greek Yogurt and some Fruit Salad to top it with. Also, want to make a cucumber Salad and let that marinade in the fridge.
Yesterday afternoon, Mom did the hand dishes, well I did a little prepping by cutting up some peaches and cleaning out the fridge, I cannot even remember what it was but there was only one thing to go, which is good as we had a couple of weeks with food waste.
Last night I keep dinner super simple by makinmg Baked BBQ Chicken Breasts with Roasted Potatoes, Green Beans and Ceasar Salad. I do not know what it is but I love the combo of BBQ Sauce and Ceasar Dressing so good. But we are back to the age old questions "What's for dinner tonight."
I went to close August's budget yesterday, I knew I had some catching up to do but didn't realize I never closed July which means I never started August. So I closed July and am working on August now. I set up August's budget, recorded everything and now today I need to close August so I can start September. In every category I came in budget in August including groceries and stocking up which makes me happy.
But, September is going to be a big month, there are a few things we need to buy for the house and my Costco shop is going to be $$$$. We do not need a lot but some of the things we need are on the pricer side of things, it is some of the stuff we buy once a year and all of it running out at the same time. As well I am starting to plan for Christmas and see whart we need to stock up on.

I must be one of the few that are hanging on to the last sip of summer I can. I’m not a fan of the humidity but the warm/hot is my jam. It won’t be long that we’re in the depths of a Canadian winter and tired of the cold, dark wet, snowy days and wishing for summer again. I prefer to enjoy each season to its end with the exception of the rainy season .
Dh and I got a 16km ride in yesterday’s before the rains came, made a snack charcuterie board for tv watching. We wanted to watch the new Indiana Jones movie but wasn’t interested in pay $25 to by it. Not sure if there’s another way to get it cheaper or maybe we just have to wait for it to not be a “new release “. Any suggestions and no we don’t have Nextflix.
Going for a walk shortly this morning and just relaxing the rest of the day.
Enjoy your holiday Monday everyone

Angela -happy anniversary.
I am so tired of being sick,i had to call the oncall doctor today and she is sending me a cream to a pharmacy (only a few opened) but i should give them 2 hours to fill it .
So much for doing anything with my hubby like a small road trip, who cares my dear daughter stayed overnight sat into sunday and we chatted a lot .She bought a few beautifull pieces of clothing from winners as she starts a new job on tue .
She is so brutaly honest ,i tried on the top i got for 2.00 from a local thrift and she told me no looks awfull on you mom-"it looks like some grandma hemmed her curtains on the end of the top" i laughed but i think she is right

Summer is officially over for me - today is the last day for $1 iced coffee from McD. That's my signal that summer is over. On the bright side, this week I was able to take my girls shopping, mostly at walmart, and two walmart we went to had additional 50% on clearance clothes and shoes items. So we got new shoes for this year and summer clothes for next year. Walmart quality is not great, but the shoes and clothes would only last the school year then they grow out of them.
