I agree @lizzie bargain
168.9 is INSANE for diesel but thankfully we get around 1000-1100km out of a tank.
Dinner is made except for cooking the pasta, the laundry is done, place tidied and that was all by noon. Now to relax and watch Speed.

@walkonby and @flemeth thank you.
You know they talk about self driving cars where is a self cleaning house, that is what I need.
But on that note it took most of the week but finally have the upstairs hallways cleaned up. Everything has been put away. Cleaned the bathroom and did the floors upstairs.
Did some general tidying up, boxes broken down and ready to take out, grocery put away (everything that did not have to go in the fridge was living on the kitchen floor, this has become a new bad habit), and just grabbing random things living in random places.
Did get the fridge cleaned out, went from busting at the seams to looks like I could go grocery shopping but most of that was just organizing things.
Mom did do some prep well I was cleaning the fridge, she cut up some peaches, mangos and kiwi that were sort of had marks so those are in the fridge. Tomorrow I will make fruit salad.
Dinner was Chicken Parm, I did it in the air fryer this time and let me tell you oh my gosh so easy and quick in the air fryer. Normally when I make Chicken Parm I start around 3 today I did not start dinner until 5 and we were eating by 6. On the side I made Pasta with Tomato Sauce and Mushrooms for some veggies and a Lemon Parm Salad, Mom said the salad was too lemony but hoping with some work I can perfect it.
Now I am crocheting some ice cream cones because I feel like I need the relaxation that comes from crocheting.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Costco had razors on clearance. Gillette sensor plus, 52 pack, $19.97. Food banks told us some personal care items are usually low in stock. Will donate.

Good Morning Everyone,
Slow start to the morning here today. I woke up at 5:30 but could not keep my eyes open so I feel back asleep until 8 am.
I watched some of the olympics this morning and now catching up on shows from the week.
Scrolling on Pinterest trying to find some inspiration for this week. I am always so torn on if I should make a lunch option to have in the fridge or not, it comes in handy but the issue is if we have leftovers then we have too much food. I try to meal plan but we are not a Monday = X, Tuesday = Y house, when we do this for some reason their is mental mindset of oh but I don't want that today and that is where we really go off track. So instead I come up with 10 or so meals we can make based on what we have on hand but I never if we will or won't have leftovers.
I have such a want to be one of those totally organized people who just has it all together and then life happens and the chaos happens and I feel lost. Somedays I feel like I am my own worst enemy. I feel guilty when I don't get things done, I am the type of person who needs to accomplish something everyday, but I also know I prioritize that over taking care of myself because of the guilt. If I do not get anything done in a day it is all I can focus on when I go to bed at night and I feel like I am getting better but it is still there deep down.
Back to scrolling Pinterest and trying to find some new ideas. Happy Sunday Everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Good idea to think about waste and leftovers. Have you ever thought about making less (or close to what you need)?
The first concern is always 'Will someone be left hungry?'
I have thought about it and am trying out a new concept. Instead of cooking too much and having leftovers, I try to cook less and then 'top up', if I am still hungry afterwards. I pre-boil a number eggs and just leave them in the fridge. They keep nearly forever and I can always cook them into a meal, if necessary; consider them pre-leftovers.If I finish a meal and am still a bit hungry, peeling an additional egg is easier than trying to deal with an additional meal for leftovers, IMO. Instead of an egg, it could be a couple of cookies, some veggies, fruit, handful of nuts, or a slice of bread. My refrigerator is quite barren of leftovers, when I use this method. It also helps keep me from over-eating. Sometimes, if there is only a mouthful or two left, I 'force' it down, instead of having leftovers.

I did see the controversial scene that lit up social media. Guess Paris can count out some of humanity in donating funds towards a landmark building's repair fund. Have to find opportunity to see rest of the opening. TVO on one station had NBC's live feed of women's mountain biking this morning. Have not watched much of any event coverage due to tv station signals not coming through. Tablet screen is too small for viewing esp when aerial shots are used.
Humidity is back. Have had two powder sticks of Gatorade made up to drink already. Want to attempt wifi calling tonight to see if the suggestion on how it could work actually does. At least I have the rings via Google Phone set.
Will be doing lots of pasta surprise dishes this week, with cooking in evening or before 8am. Still have one rice side dish package to use plus sweet potatoes. No more July spending as funds have been spent and the monthly debit limit has been reached. I have popping corn to enjoy and lots of ice cubes for drinks. There are some online magazines to flip through today for food inspiration and summer tip.
Next weekend will be a long weekend.>>>>>>>>Are you ready for it?

@HermanH , leftovers do depend on what we make and what we will eat as leftovers (Mom does not eat leftover pasta if it is Tomato base unless it is Lasagna), most of our meals I do aim for just what we need but with only being the two of us, when I make some recipes we get leftovers and they are recipes I cannot or will not half. I refuse to have like half an egg in my fridge.
@Ciel21 , looks like I am getting my long weekend off but now I am torn to I tackle this house or relax, it the same internal struggle I always have. I guess this is the downside to the fact that I do not actually take vacations, I just take a day here or there when I need a break but stay home. Part of me feels like I need to get all the things but the other part of me is like these might be the only 2 days you get so I just do nothing.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

@SassyAshley we have never meal plan. We go with the flow so the day of whatever we feel like eating we will cook . We are big sea food and veggie eaters so if something has to be defrost we take it out the morning of. One of my DD is vegetarian she only eat eggs the other eats mostly vegetarian so we are always cooking 2 different meals. My DH and I will occasionally have meat . But this method works for us and we don’t usually have food waste .

Good Morning Everyone,
Trying my best to get this work day started but it is becoming an odd day. I thought I had everything worked out so I could still take Thursday and Friday off as I have a couple thing I have to get done this week. I thought I had it all scheduled out and then one of meeting invites was declined this morning and the person is not in the office so I am a bit lost.
I did not get my pre done yesterday, I just could not find the focus. I did make some Oat Bars to have with my Breakfast this week, not bad, a little sweet. This morning I made my fruit salad with Peaches, Kiwis, Blueberries and Clementines with a honey & lime dressing. Would have been better if I did yesterday so it all melded together but it was okay, my peaches do not have a lot of flavour.
I had also planned to make some whipped greek yogurt that did not done so instead I just added some honey to the greek yogurt, it worked.
Last night I ended up making Balsamic Chicken & Mushrooms over Mashed Potatoes with Steamed Broccoli. Tonight is a bit of a mystery so far, although all of a sudden I do have a craving for pizza so maybe some homemade pizza, we will see.
Not sure what I did last night but I was in the kitchen just tidying up and all of a sudden I got a horrible pain in my leg, I don't know if I turned funny or what but it is still hurting today. Now the pain is in my knee and it is weird because I feel like it is muscular but I also feel if my knee would pop the pain would be gone. It is better today but it really affected my sleep last night as it hurt to roll so I did not get a good night sleep, so that is not helping with my focus today.
Time to push on, Happy Monday Everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

I see both of you ladies ( @SassyAshley and @Frugalbigmama ) are powering ahead with things that need to get done. I tip my hat to your stick-to-itiveness!
Today I'm just trying NOT to eat anything so I'll be able to really enjoy the Jack Astor's steak dinner tonight after we see the Deadpool/Wolverine movie. Movie at 4, then dinner!
Bought the tickets for the movie yesterday and OMG it sure has been a while since we've been to Cineplex. The cost!! For 2 seniors and 1 regular admission it was $53.11 .
This type of ticket is NOT even a fancy one. Just the regular 3D seats, but yes they all are big-arse ones that recline which is lovely. I flashed the Scene points card paid with the Scene Visa CC, but yowzah! Still stings.

Just home from a Costco shop with DH. We are having a lasagna making party with my friend on Wed so bought the meat and cheese. She is making the tomato sauce and I am to make the meat mixture- we will make homemade pasta together and assemble it. I have never made homemade pasta before. Her DH is Italian so this will be authentic! I will make up some small ones for my Mum's freezer too. The triplets and big brother are sleeping over on Wed so that will be dinner. Maybe we will take it easy on Thursday!
