@cath007 sending you positive vibes, parents should never be so unkind in fact people should never be unkind to another human.

My mom did her 1st solo plane ride at the age of 75, she has done most flights with me so this was a big deal, we were very proud of her and she is out here for about 6 weeks as we are barely a month to my brother’s wedding.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

Update on my BIL-he was actually riding his scooter when the car hit him. He will be talking to a lawyer as I am sure it will be a long road to recovery. Because he broke the right arm and leg and cannot weight bear yet he cannot walk. Cannot yet manage a crutch, cane or walker with right hand. He will be transferred to a rehab hospital.

So, I might empty them together into a saucepan and bring them to a boil before eating.

What is it with me and crackers? I just finished the previous box I found and here comes another.
You are either lucky to cross paths with snacky shoppers or the Universe is suggesting pantry surprise casserole topped with those crackers, crushed.

Oh the itching he will endure with casts on during the hot summer-sister and BIL might want to allow each other set alone time each day he can vent to the walls, whilst sister goes for walk or sits outside for a bit. I hope your Sister can arrange some homecare support because it will give her a breather and someone new for hubby to talk to. Feel for both of them. Sister will see the health system with patient-side pov. Her staus as md could expedite connections.
    Hugs to you for sharing.

@cath007 Ooooh, papa went for mean words in retaliation for all your concerns about his health. You have done good in this life with the resources and oportunities you had access to. He has his own emotional luggage.

You are first now. Papa only gets laundry washed 1x per week because your schedule is about your health and needs.

Hugs for you for all the recent stress. When weather is cool for short walk, go out and think or talk to Mom and brother. Get out of house a little. The heat is tough. Did you want to get haircut to feel cooler? Might be hair school that gives free cut on certain day? Will send you pm tomorrow to brainstorm ideas and actions to help you block out pere's sting with words. Something good for you is going to happen.

much thanks @SassyAshley . The dinner was the best! We overspent, so this should NOT be in the frugal thread, lol.
There was wine, ( for me only, DH was the designated driver ), 2 appys, huge steak dinners and dessert!
Also, a note to everyone!! Go see the Deadpool and Wolverine movie, honest to Betsy you'll miss half the jokes because
you will be laughing so long and hard at every one of them. When it becomes available to stream we will do that too.

@lilo0003 How incredibly brave of her!! Now she knows she can do it!

@lizzie bargain great update, a lawyer is a must for him, glad they've looked into it now.

Good Morning! I have my office window open as there is a breeze out and I need fresh air! Not sure how long I will be able to keep it open as I heard the heat is here for a few more days.

Made my coffee this morning and the kitchen was clean! So nice to wake up to that meaning the nighttime munchers didn't appear.

I meant to take chicken out of the freezer last night. My back up plan is sausage and burgers since we have those in the freezer and we have buns to use up. The BBQ grates are clean (DS power washed them) so I may put the bbq back together and then I can bbq later. I just put a peameal roast from the freezer into the fridge this morning. I will put it in the sink tonight before bed. It lasted 2 meals for the men lol so here is to getting them all used up out of the freezer over the next while to be ready for a deal in the fall to stock up again.

Today- Will put a load of laundry on and hang to dry. Give bathrooms a quick clean. Give the fridge a quick clean out and plan tomorrow's dinner with the veggies (onion, zucchini, mushrooms (i'm picking up at Walmart today ) and make sure take the chicken out of the freezer.

Ok window is closed now! Wow the heat just started pouring in. Trees are still guess the wind has stopped!

Now to get this work day out of the way so I can enjoy the weather! Thinking we should head to the beach this evening (if it doesn't storm!).
We made a plan to go to the beach one night and then kayak another night. Have to enjoy these summer days while we can!

    Have a great day!

I am also always concerned about collisions. I walk so much that I encounter a dangerous situation nearly every 10 days or so; whether that be an absent-minded car turning and not seeing me or a cyclist/scooter approaching me from the rear. My head is on a swivel, but it is the threats I cannot see that give me great pause.

I did a quick calculation to find the amount of kinetic energy a collision would liberate. Conservatively, assuming a total weight of 300 pounds (scooter + rider) moving at the rate of 15 km / hour (most travel 20 km/h+), impact with me would be the equivalent to being shot by 25 pistol bullets simultaneously. That's a LOT of potential damage to a pedestrian.

2 loads of laundry washed and hung to dry.

I am starving but we are out of English muffins and I don't have almond milk (kind of scared to use after recall) or fresh berries for my oatmeal.
So I haven't had breakfast yet...guess it is going to be a early dinner for me tonight!

This heat is not helping my mission to putter in the garage. I'm thinking of making a homemade mac and cheese tomorrow morning. I know it's not ideal to use the oven in the heat but we will appreciate it on Thursday when we have a quick heat and eat meal (just add a side salad!)
All this food talk is making me hungry .

Put the pudding cups into the fridge and ate one, after it cooled. No problem, at all.

Found a bag of pepperoni sticks in RCSS parking lot. Tasty snack to add to my pantry. Spicy!

I walked out of the T&T Chinese supermarket and saw a beautiful 2-door Mercedes with an Uberdecal on the windshield. There was a Chinese fellow sitting in the driver's seat. I couldn't believe that such a lovely car was being used for Uber, so I asked the driver why he drove for Uber with such a fine car. I told him that with such a piece of machinery, he was probably losing money with every delivery he made. He told me that he had the Uber sticker as a joke, but didn't actually drive for the company. We both had a good laugh over it. He certainly fooled me. Looks like the joke's on me.

Forgot I have a massage this afternoon! Nice surprise when I looked at my schedule for today.

My friend wants to go shoe shopping tonight ( we both decided on the weekend while getting lots of steps in we need to toss our fav shoes we are wearing as they aren't supportive anymore)
