Just went to Food Basics for the beef pepperettes. Grabbed 3 packages and hid them in the fridge! Greek yogurt and a tray of steaks- marked down to $4.77 lb plus 40% off sticker on it. So change in plans for dinner tomorrow night. No roast. Steak instead and will grill up mushrooms/peppers and onions too. Yum! Plus the cobs of corn we were gifted. Perfect dinner!!

I am going to make overnight oats tonight for my breakfast tomorrow.

Used $150.85 in coupons (mostly FPCs, plus $1 blue cow that I used on block cheese)
    Redeemed $70 in points.
    Earned 2275 in points.
    Paid $1.04 oop.
Submitted receipt for $0.25 through Eclipsa and $0.25 for websaver, 5AM from buying eggs (pending). I also submitted the receipt for points back offers.

I bought multiple 400g block cheese for $3 each after coupon & 10% discount.

I redeemed 9 free Jiff coupons from the old recall (I had to throw those out from my pantry). Earned 500pts per 3 Jiff. The Jiff is best by 2026, those coupons expire Dec 31, 2024.I also bought 3 Smuckers jam, used 2 FPCs and earned 500pts for buying 3. The 10% discount applies to the pre-coupon total.

    Good Morning Everyone,
Up early and getting the things done, well the work things. I still have no resolve to my suitatution, I will follow up later today as I was last minute pulled into a meeting this morning.

I find it kind of funny that people think I sit in our ERP system and find errors when really I do not have that kind of time in my day and what I find, I find because I am working on something else. This happened yesterday afternoon, I was working on a manual and something looked off on a report and down a rabbit hole I went.

I did not get as much done around the house as I had hoped yesterday, I got super tired yesterday afternoon, maybe it is the broken sleep each night which, *happy dance* I slept all night last night but did start my day at 4:30 when I woke up which I will take if I get to sleep all night and don't wake up at weird random times through the night.

Looks like my yarn is going to live in the upstairs hallway for now, everywhere I tried to put it, it would not fit so that was the only solution we could find other than the basement. I need to make it to Dollarama and see if they have the absorb tubs I keep seeing people post about online.

Since I was up at 4:30 I took a quick scroll of the new flyers starting tomorrow, I do see a few things I want to grab but will write my list after work tonight and see where I will shop this week. I know for sure No Frills as I see they have Peppers and Broccoli which I will stock up on. If I am going to grocery shop tomorrow I should probably tidy the fridge tonight, there is nothing to be thrown out but my fridge seems way too full for the amount of food we have. Although I did have some hot dogs and Pizza sauce that need to be packaged for the freezer, maybe Mom can do this, this afternoon well I reorganize the fridge.

Ok, time to stop procrastinating and dive head first into an inventory manual I need to write.

    Happy Wednesday everyone.

Good morning gang. Last night I REALLY wanted to make a no bake Pumpkin cheesecake until I realized my one last can of pumpkin puree was GONE!
It's now on my shopping list for when I go out tomorrow. Instead this morning I'm making a large batch of chicken soup ( I used drumsticks ) and will
    add homemade dumplings into it.
The legs are just simmering now, ( smells so good ). This is still part of an ongoing effort to use up the various items in the cupboards and freezers.

Good Morning! This week has been great weather wise!! Sunshine and blue skies!

Getting things done this morning and then will get out and enjoy the weather. (Laundry to put away, prep dinner, tidy kitchen after prep)
Will go for a walk down at the town docks. Love being near the water. I really need to replace my runners (I have 2 new pairs waiting) but I love the ones I have now. It is so hard to toss shoes

Sale flyers- Looked them over for the sales starting tomorrow. A few things I really want to grab but really not much needed.
Watching for the cases of tomatoes to be marked down... then I can roast and make pasta sauce Think last year I bought a few boxes at $2.99 each and then one lonely one for .99.

Have a wonderful day. Hope you have sunshine!

I asked the kids to send me their grocery list. My plan is to restock the house next week so they won’t have to shop for much. Its a quick trip back and then we are back to NS. We then return to Ontario late October for a few months. I switched my F l I P app back to Ontario so I can see what PC offers to save and there is a lot of deals, peppers for 1.27 at NF and I have that offer.
I am especially excited as I signed up for a BMO credit card because I was missing all the Air Miles offers and it’s waiting for me as is my Costco rebate cheque.

Another beautiful day!!! Wow what a way to start September!

Million things I want to get done today but will have to pick a few things and get at it. One thing for sure- Pile all the clothing we are getting rid of in the back of my SUV and go drop it off at the bins in town. Then we will have about 100 free hangers!! Will feel so good to get rid of all that.

    Enjoy the day!

    Good Afternoon Everyone,
I am seriously having an I don't want to be an adult today type of days and am trying my best to not shut down, I am seriously tempted.

I decided I needed to walk away from my laptop so I ran to No Frills, all I wanted to do was my grocery shopping but.............

I am in produce picking out some peppers (who can pass up $1.27/lb) and I notice in the bin of peppers there is a green pepper that almost looks like it exploded, it does not look rotten but their are pieces everywhere. The Produce Manager is about 3 feet away changing a sign so I say:
"Hey, just wanted to let you know there is a pepper in this bin that looks like it exploded."
Reply "I know, I saw it."
Me: "Ok, have a good day."
I am still picking out peppers and I thought the conversation was done, but apparently it wasn't, because then I hear:
Them "I have priorities, I saw it, I know it is there."
I say nothing assuming they are talking to themselves because now my back it to them, but I turn to walk away and look right at me, they now say:
"I have priorities and things need to be done in a certain order."
Me: "I get it my job is the same."
Them: "I have priorities and it isn't one of them just because it is there and you see it."
I say nothing and just stand there, she looks at me and walks away shaking their head.

I do not know if maybe they were having a bad day, I genuinely thought I was being nice because well I was standing there another woman picked up a piece of the pepper and was saying how gross it was. I thought letting her know in a way instead of being mad or upset was nice but I guess in the future I will say nothing.

I have been struggling all week to get things done around the house, every since I had those sinus issues last week, I do not know if it is the not sleeping all night (although *happy dance* two nights in a row I slept all night) but I keep crashing hard in the afternoon and get so tired.

Today will not be much better as I kind of broke a little this morning. There is still no resolve to my work situation, I called my boss yesterday and he is on my side and said he would book a meeting to discuss with everyone. This morning I found out the good news is a meeting is booked but I will not be included in the meeting as it has been deemed a leadership decision and I have asked to be included in leadership but I guess my request was declined as I have no heard anything further. Today is one of those days I am finding it very hard to separate work and family, luckily I do not have many of these day and I thought we had resolved some of these issues even with me not being added to leadership but I guess not. So now I wait.

I am trying my best to not mentally check out right now as there are still a million other things going on but honestly, it is a challenge today.

    Happy Thursday Everyone.

Yesterday was my afternoon in big box land to explore activewear deals. But the good stretchy pants were not on sale. Marks has a nice Shambala knit pant in dark tones but 59.99 price tag. Ditto the Carhartt athletic pants I wish I had known about in July when I started to buy cargo pants with mesh inserts.
Spent time at Staples- clearance area in tech has iphone 12 cases marked down as well Otterboxes for various Samsung phones. Spotted one gingham P-touch tape too; in regular price tapes area, store only stocks the 12mm white tapes that print in black type. Was keen to find something neon. Another endcap had 25% off Avery round tags or gift tags packages-I mention them in case the SCers canning or handcrafting gifts want to print tags to accompany their gifts. Bought Swiffer heavy duster refills for $9.99 as they are needed.

Homesense- clearance end cap had Hello Kitty lunch napkins for $4 and endcap 5 had $6 large Laura Secord French Mint bar. I knew those items were going to checkout before I even browsed at Marshalls. Large kitchen towel assortment with fall or Halloween themes, printed/terry/ woven formats or textures.
Sobeys found 4 dairy product coupons and $1 off Kraft peanut butter coupon. Chips and Sobeys tote were my buys as the clearance deals were lacklustre. Then took bus home.
I need another visit to see Indigo and other stores at west end of big box stores area.

Value Village supersavers deal Wed to Sun is 30% off clothing. Will peruse racks just in case, after I get the new Food and Drink issue tonight.
