Wow, hard to imagine it is September.
The wedding went off without a hitch, the weather was perfect and they married in their yard so the weather was key. It made for a late night and today we have had rain so I spent the day doing laundry and catching up with stuff around here.
Next Saturday we fly back to Ontario for a week, I will be happy to see my older son as it’s been 2 months.

    Good Morning Everyone,
I am not ready for it to be September yet, this year is just flying by, plus I feel like winter is coming fast, UGH, not ready for winter.

Today does feel like a fall day so I am going to make a full Roast Beef Dinner with Mashed Potatoes, Gravy and some sort of veggie, we do not have any fresh veggies to use so I will pull something out of the freezer, thinking maybe some baby carrots.

Well I was pulling out the roast I decided to pull a half pack of bacon. We have decided we do not need a full 500g package for just the two of us so now I cut them all in half before I freeze them. I am craving a Hard Boiled egg sandwich with some Bacon.

My head is not spinning but the situation is in the back of my mind and again I woke up at 3 am, UGH I hate that. But today I do not feel like it is consuming me so we shall see what happens with the day.

Oh my gosh, so all I wanted yesterday was to crochet and it was a lot more work than it should have been and I was sitting here close to bed time last night and looked at my project and realized I skipped the butt. You need to crochet the tall, the butt, two legs then the body, well I did the tail two legs and was working on the body when I realized so I had to rip it all out and start over. Who knew the Butt would get me, LOL, in the end I just had to laugh.

As I sit here typing this, thinking I might try to get some baking done before the roast needs to go in, now to figure out what to bake, off to Pinterest I go.

    Happy Holiday Monday Everyone.

SA-I was reading online that any company in Ontario with more than 25 employees must have a right to disconnect from work policy. Does your company have one? I think it is a good idea. I think people would be so much better off if work and homelife were separated.

Lizzie sorry to hear you had covid, hope you are on the mend.

Im back oh my goodness i had the most wonderfull time with my daughter. She met me at the union go station (so nice there all the underground restaurants )
We stayed at the Royal York Hotel for the 2 night, went in the pool and hot tub each day.She showed me her office downtown ,we ate out at 2 very nice restaurants i (paid for one night)
We went Eatons centre -so many stores i bought sandels leather for 50% off.She bought 2 pairs of shoes ,kernals popcorn .I even rode the subway such an adventure ,she even bought me a lovely sweater in "Athena" owned by the gap.We had drinks in the "library bar"so nice and a lovely smokey dessert.
I was in another life style she had a hotel credit and 2 free breakfasts while we were there."nice perk from her credit card points"

The only down fall was i took the go train home and daughter told hubby one of the wrong stations in burlington as there are 2 appleby or fairveiw(well i got off at abbleby and hubby was waiting at fairview ) well with obly one cell phone this made it hard ,so i called daughter she said get back on the go train(i had no staff to help me and i am out of my element) anyway my dear ex son-in-law and sebastian we going home so they came and dropped me off at fairview and hubby was waiting 1 hour for me.lol

I took the train as they have washrooms on board but then again they lock some doors and you have to go to various other cars to find one .ugggg.Any way i still had a great time and bonded more so with my daughter as flemeth had said.

Glad to be home thou ,house was clean also.

Coupongirl that sounds like quite a fun time with your daughter I am sure she loved being a tourist in her own city. DH and DS2 went golfing this morning with friends so my mom and and went out with one of her BFFs and her daughter, I have known them my whole life and it’s been ages since we hung out, they traveled out for the wedding. We went to a lovely winery for lunch, saw lots of local sites and had a lovely day out, then we stopped to visit my brother and SIL.

@lizzie bargain , I do believe we have this I seem to have a vague memory. I could be wrong I believe it addresses being asked to work outside of work hours but if you choose too that is your choice. Plus being part of the family rules are slightly different.

But to be honest, I have taken most weekends off this year although I did work last weekend which I am slightly regretting as I was working on the project that someone is trying to take over. Although, hmmm how do I say this, they want me to keep doing what I am doing but then hand it to them and their name and department will go on the paperwork not mine. Apparently it is the correct political way to handle it because of job titles. Sorry that was a little .

We will call today a success although due to my own procrastination I did end up in a bit of a time crunch because it took some work to convince myself to get up and knock it out.

I started by cooking off the bacon, well that was in the oven I made a batch of Peanut Butter Blossom bars, then well those were in the oven I prepped a batch of rice, then well that was in the over I made s small batch French Bread and then well that baked I prepped the roast to go in.

I was craving something chocolatey which is weird, don't me wrong I like chocolate but I am also the person who says it was too chocolatey, I do not eat a whole chocolate bar that is too much for me. So the Peanut Butter Blossom Bars were a nice compromise.

The rice can be used as a side or to make bowls for lunch this week, I am seriously obsessed with bowls, I had one today using the leftover souvlaki and loaded it up with a ton of veggies.

The bread completely stressed me out as I have never made with a stand mixer, I always use my bread machine or I make a no knead bread. It turned out I think I ran the mixer a little higher than I should have but I will know for next time.

Dinner was so good although my gravy came out a tad salty which is weird because I never use a lot of salt. But I found it salty and Mom said it peppery. I did make carrots on the side which Mom said was a nice change and I agree.

The kitchen is clean, I just need to run the dishwasher when Mom is done her tea.

Still working on my dog, I am at the point where I pulled it out last night so moving forward.

I did not get any produce prep done, I will plan that for tomorrow or see if Mom wants to do it well I work. I think tomorrow is going to be busy I got a few please dig into and investigate emails today so we shall see, I do love a good mystery.

    Good Morning Everyone,
Happy Tuesday that feels like a Monday. The email was pretty full this morning but I think I have worked through most of it now and just seeing if there is anything I need to catch up on from last week.

Still no email plus I asked for the forms to be sent to me so I could create them myself but they have not been sent to me. So kind of annoyed right now as I have 6 of these that I need to get done this week so I can do training with a staff member and this is completely holding me up.

I had to run the dishwasher this morning, Mom was having a bad day yesterday, she is struggling to sleep which makes dealing with the pain even worse so I decided to just run it this morning.

Also Mom has me to do a small load of laundry for her so I have that in the washing machine.

There are a few other things I would like to get done today but we will see how the day goes, I would like to get the Kitchen Floor done (which means all the floors on the main level). I need to find somewhere new to store my yarn bins as I cannot get them back to where I pulled them out of, ideally I would like to put them in the basement but lately even with the dehumidifier there has been a musty smell and I do not want that in my yarn. I have heard Dollarama sells these things that will absorb the odor but I have not made it to Dollarama yet. Also the Bathroom needs to be cleaned.

Need to figure out dinner for tonight, maybe Dumplings, we did not have them the other night or maybe well I have lunch I will look on Pinterest and see what I can find. I do not have any cravings so we shall see.

    Happy Tuesday Everyone.

Good Day!! We have sunshine and a blue sky! Great way so start this new short work week!

Weekend was good but seems to have flown by. Youngest DS's birthday was yesterday. We made a feast (ribs/corn on the cob/ceaser salad and homemade mac and cheese) Sat outside all afternoon and had a nice fire. Was a great day. We planned for a late lunch/early dinner so oldest DS could join us So did all the food prep in the morning (had to pop out twice because some of my ingredients were missing!) Cleaned up as I went so it was nice to wake up to a clean kitchen this morning. And we have tons of leftovers so no cooking today.

Tonight I will take chicken and a roast beef out of the freezer Tomorrow I will cook up the chicken for chicken ceaser wraps (we have everything needed for this) and make a full roast beef dinner (mashed potatoes, gravy and veggie) Then we will have food for another 2/3 days. Trying to get back into the swing of things so we have food ready since we still all have different schedules but want to have good food ready to heat and eat.

Puttered in the garage on the weekend and it seems less cluttered. Will get out there again this week to finish up so it is ready for winter parking. Will still have to put kayak and golf clubs away but will wait till mid October for that since we will still be using them till then.
My bestie (kayaking partner) is away till Thursday this week but I am going to go tonight. Will see if I can talk DS into coming with me ( I can go pick up my friends Kayak for him to use) He wants to come out since he hasn't been out since he was a kid.

ok going to get my work stuff done so I am ready for anything that comes in but I feel like many people are off today since it is the first day of school.
Should be a quiet work day!

    Have a wonderful day!

Foodland has the Halloween box of chips/cheese sticks on for $9.99. I bought 2 boxes on the weekend so I at least have something ready to hand out incase I can't find any other deals.

Planning a US road trip in October. Just booked the week off work so it is a go!. Perfect time of year to hike at state parks. So excited
