Oh , I am very interested to see how this unfolds lol.
So far, we have a 15.00 credit.. ( I laughed at that one!) The person said... so we can pay for a additional streaming service.... that's not going to cut it.
The problem being... the channels didn't change. Just the on demand. Changed ... we can no longer access it.. but it's part of our package . For any channels....
We can access live tv. I need more caffeine. .
.and thank goodness I'm not dealing with them

@Giseledta , are they saying you should no longer have access to on demand?
Not sure how many people your husband has spoken too (I realize this might be a sore subject) but some are better than others (well I guess that in life in general).
I had issues years ago where we signed up for a new package (ours was no longer available) but the person told me everything would stay the same but they missed I would lose 20+ channels (of course they are channels we watch all the time). I had speak to multiple people as the first few said the same thing, "your channels didn't change," finally I go through to a manager and they took the time looked at it and fixed it, turned out they were looking at my old package and comparing the old package to the old package, not the new package. But it was shocking that multiple people kept telling me nothing changed when I was sitting here looking at my TV seeing I couldn't access the channels. It wasn't until I got the right person who actually listened and looked at it, did I get it fixed.

Good Morning Everyone,
Up early again today, maybe too early, I woke up at 3:30 and couldn't fall back asleep so feeling very tired today, but we aren't letting that stop me as I have a bunch of stuff to knock out.
It has been snowing off and on since I got up this morning, this is not helping the ambition level. Guess there will be shovelling in my future. Happy I ran my errands yesterday.
I have a random load of towels going, these are from defrosting the freezer and steam cleaning the cabinets.
Thinking this weekend I will either steam clean the bathroom or the Kitchen counters, will see which one appeals at the time. Only hesitance to doing the bathroom is the ceiling which kills my back which for some reason is already not happy. Not sure if it is going back to work and sitting at my computer all day again but it was bugging me last night and is still not happy today. I have rearranged my sitting area to see if that helps. Will also make sure to get up and move around throughout the day.
Also need to figure out dinner for tonight, don't have any cravings so that is not helping. But oh the Butter Chicken last night was so good.
Happy Friday Everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Good Morning! We made it to Friday!
Yesterday I got my nails done. (Treat for myself to grow them out...again) Had the money tucked aside for it for months so it was time. Stopped at RCSS to take a look around and bought a bag of the buttermilk chicken for DS and the cashier told me that she liked my nails haha! Worth every penny!!!
I also used a $10 off coupon that I had from when they opened (they gave me a bunch and I will keep using them)
Dinner out last night (free- I was treated) I don't usually go out to much during the week but I try not to say no when asked. Sometimes people need someone to talk to and in person is always better.
Not sure our plan this weekend- I feel like we will be close to home because of the weather. Guess we should start the room by room decluttering.
I like that I can load a basket with clothing and bring it to the clothing bins. Thinking my closet and dresser is a good starting point.
What are you making for dinner this weekend? Thinking I should make a nice dinner with shrimp. We have many bags that should be used up so I need to start planning meals with them. Think I will cook up ground beef and make taco meat. We have everything needed for tacos and too much sour cream (guess I bought too many) I would love taco salad for dinner! Love when everything is ready for it and then you just have to throw it together.
Will make breakfast soon-another omelette since I still have veggies to use up and spinach! (my mushrooms were not good yesterday to use)
Hope everyone has a wonderful day and weekend!

I have stopped collecting PC points as I find Shoppers to be expensive. I shop at Food Basics as they have good sales and I like the Moi program, except that some promotions are for certain stores only. I use my Tangerine credit card and get 2% back in three categories with groceries being one of them, with no limits on how much I can earn. (My TD cash back has a yearly limit).
I just really need to stop shopping online.Last edited by barbis9; Fri, Jan 3rd, 2025 at 11:35 AM.

Turns out I have been wearing the wrong hand brace. The correct one is arriving today from Amazon. The doctor called and I'm being sent to a special doctor that deals with hand fractures. This is the first time in my life I have fractured anything and thankfully its my left hand.
Off I go to RENS as I have some VIP offers from them for free cat and dog food. While it gets expensive with my dog and three cats, I do love that RENS recognizes their VIP members with offers every month, definitely worth signing up.

TGIF! I am really feeling it today more than I have in a long time. My client canceled for tomorrow which while I want the $$$$ I also NEED the time off. My gas tank is exceptionally low right now.
My frugal goal for January is NO TAKEOUT ( that I pay for anyways). Also I want to tighten up the food waste situation. It’s not bad but sometimes worse than others and I want to use every scrap I have.
Planning to hit up NF on my way home today and grab some beyond steak bites using $2 coupon that expires Jan 6 and some sourdough.
I really want to try my hand at making sourdough bread but I may have to wait a bit until I have more time and energy to commit to it. Maybe I’ll start with regular bread ( I don’t have a mixer so old school it is).
It's hovering at zero this morning and WET so that makes it extra cold so the plan is to hit the gym after work since I’m not interested in going outside like we did last night

@harbie , not sure if you have one but have you considered a Dutch Oven Bread.
Most recipes are no knead, they "rest" for anywhere from 1 hour to 24 hours before baking. They are quick to throw together and then you just leave them to "rest" until it is time to bake.
This weekend I think I might make a Everything Bagel loaf I found online as a breakfast option for next week.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

I just cleaned off 2 large shelves in my office! We have gone paperless as much as we can so I felt comfortable shredding tons of paper.
Now I can organize myself! I do want to change my office around but all in good time!

Paper shredding is very satisfying!
Bro actually has started to work on his piles of paper. Two bags of shredded stuff out for this week's collection. That is about as much as I can say.
Chch morning show mentioned the Apple+ tv free weekend preview as starting today. Can the Apple ID members post whether freebie is live today or indicates tomorrow is the preview? Bro would not respond to my query about it, as he wanted to watch a video of an interview on another platform.
Snow is sprinkling from the sky, which has grey clouds drifting by on occasion. One piece of lettermail came to the mailbox today. At least Ms Sunshine is peering out on occasion, to boost the day's potential.
@barbis9 Hope your fracture healing finishes soon after the new brace is used. It is splendid that you can get out and about as needed. Shoppers website has changed some categories to reflect departure from electronics. They still exist as stock but I can only see them through a link for discontinued phone that is in-store purchase only, to be able to click on electronics category.
